This project is a bit of a passionproject for me. As
statedpreviously, I wantthis unit to be a last
hurrah, to provethatI can properly get some
goodwork done.

My main big influences are “The Death of Stalin”
(Iannucci, 2017), “The ManFromU.N.C.L.E”
(Ritchie, 2015)and “CasinoRoyale”(Fleming,
1953). Anothercouldbe “Deutschland‘83”(UFA
Fiction, 2015).
What effect do youwant to haveon your
audience when they see yourproject?
I want my audience to be entertained. I wantit to
start off with intrigue andthen end with surprise
andI want the audience to go throughthe
emotionsas they listen. I think there may alsobe
a slight hint of education, because it will give
people a look intothe spy craft of the period.
Describe the tone/mood/styleofyourproject

I want to try and makea tonally dark drama with
betrayal anddeceit. I will try to use a lot of my
time recording audio andediting it to soundjust
as I want. 1940sgramophonecrackling, musicand
suchin the background. I wantto create a
soundscapewhilstthe action is happening. You
shouldbe able to close your eyes andpicture
where everyoneis simply based onthe sounds
you’rehearing.
Why have youdecided to makeyour project in
this style?
I think a dark dramasuitsthe style of a spy thriller.
If I were to make a film like James Bond, it would
be filled with action andalmosthopelessnessat
parts. It wouldbe confusingand entertaining.
Bondis quite a dark series, soI want to try and
run a similar style.
