DAY 01: MUMBAI – AURANGABAD
Morning, pick up from your Mumbai Hotel at 0630 hours. Leave for Aurangabad by road (372 km). Arrive Aurangabad
and check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02: AURANGABAD
Morning after breakfast, leave to visit the World Famous Ajanta Caves and the highlight of the Best of Maharashtra
Tour. The Ajanta Caves are carved out of large rocks architecture and are 30 in number. These caves of the Hinayana
and Mahayana period are made of basalt rock. Late evening visit the Bibi Ka Maqbara, a mausoleum built by Prince
Azam Shah, in the late 17th century and has a striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal. Overnight at the hotel. (B)
DAY 03: AURANGABAD
Morning after breakfast check out of the hotel and visit the impregnable Daulatabad Fort. The fort is popular for its
obstacles and was never captured in war. After lunch visit the Ellora Caves. Ellora represents one of the largest rock-
cut monastic-temple complexes, of three different religions, viz., Buddhist Hindu and Jain. In total, there are 34 caves
in the hill range. Overnight at the hotel. (B)
DAY 04: AURANGABAD – MAHABALESHWAR
Morning after an early breakfast drive to Mahabaleshwar (361 km). Arrive Mahabaleshwar and check in. Evening visit
Venna Lake (boating is possible at the Venna Lake). Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 05: MAHABALESHWAR
Morning after breakfast, visit Pratapgad Fort where the epic battle was fought between Shivaji and the mighty Afzal
Khan. The fort has a Bhavani Mandir, the statue of Shivaji Maharaj and the Punishment point. Pratapgad is a live in
fort where even today people reside in the fort and the main gate of the fort closes at 1800 hours. Evening visit the
famous points of Mahabaleshwar. Arthur Point, Malcolm Point, Kate’s Point Marjorie Point, Lord Elphinstone, General
Lodwick and Elephant's Head Point and the Panch Ganga Temple. Overnight at the hotel. (B)
DAY 06: MAHABALESHWAR – KOLAD (KUNDALIKA RIVER CAMPSITE)
Morning after an early breakfast leave for Kolad (110 km). Arrive and check in at the campsite. Enjoy Valley crossing and
Jumaring activity. Lunch at the campsite. After lunch canoeing / swimming in the Kunadalika Lake. Evening at leisure.

DAY 07: KOLAD (KUNDALIKA RIVER CAMPSITE)
Morning after an early breakfast, leave for Rafting in the Kundalika River. Lunch at the Campsite. After lunch enjoy

DAY 08: MUMBAI – MURUD JANJIRA
Morning, after breakfast, leave for Murud Janjira (65 km). Arrive Murud Beach and check in at the hotel. Evening visit
the Janjira Fort. Relax at the beach. Overnight at the hotel (B)
DAY 09: MURUD JANJIRA
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure at the beach / hotel. Evening shopping in the local market. Overnight at

DAY 10: MURUD JANJIRA – MUMBAI
Morning after breakfast, leave for Mumbai (165 km). Arrive Mumbai and drop at your Mumbai Hotel / Chatrapati
