A marketing campaign was launched for The Hangover Part III including trailers, posters, apps, games, and social media pages. Two trailers were released showing new footage to generate anticipation. Over 18 similar posters were used featuring changing images but the same layout. Apps included sounds from the films and photo booths. The film's Facebook and Twitter pages updated fans. An official website provided information on the cast and film showtimes. The multi-pronged campaign aimed to build hype among existing fans and notify them of the new installment's upcoming release.

companies are usually scared about using these new tools inside their environments.
at CI&T we've been trying HOAs with great success so I decided to put together this quick guide.
Marketing presentation to promote the introduction of the Coca-Cola Freestyle in Canada. Presented to Coca-Cola Canada Executives in December 2009 by a group of 4 passionate Queen's University students, forming a consulting group called Remix Solutions.
This document provides 16 things you can do in Android Lollipop that you couldn't do in KitKat. Some of the key new features described include tap and go data transfer when setting up a new device, using the built-in flashlight app, setting priority apps, interacting with notifications from the lock screen, pinning apps, predicting battery life, searching settings and networks, entering guest mode, and playing Google's Flappy Bird clone hidden game.
The document discusses a mobile news feed application called C.MONE that allows media companies to provide customized content to mobile users. C.MONE can be customized for individual media brands and delivers updated content directly to users' mobile devices. It caches content for offline access and supports features like search and multimedia depending on the device. The document outlines C.MONE's implementation process and opportunities for monetization through ads or subscriptions.
The document summarizes a news publishing application that provides news to Samsung smartphone users through a responsive interface. It uses a single page application design with Bootstrap, Backbone.js, PHP and MySQL. The front-end interface displays categorized news from a backend server, which fetches and stores headlines from RSS feeds in a database. The web application is then converted to an Android APK file using the PhoneGap software.
The document summarizes Eva Scazzero's observations of using the Apple News app. It notes the app has an infinite scrolling main page organized by subscribed news sources. However, navigation is not always intuitive as sharing an article or returning to the home screen can be difficult. While categories and mixing of video and text are done well, some features like searching are hidden and interruptions occur when reading. The document concludes that the app could improve its navigation and usability of certain features.

Online video trends are influencing news and communication. People now get 31% of their news from online sources while watching TV, and share 1/3 of online videos. Reporters are using video tools like Skype for live interviews to replace expensive live trucks. Freelance "MoJo" journalists are rising in popularity for their flexibility. Smartphones make it easy to shoot, edit and share video on the go. News organizations are adding more video content and finding ways to encourage social sharing of stories. Effective video storytelling focuses on visuals and emotions over narration, and brings viewers closer to events and people.
Everything LIVE is the way the youth is moving. With attention spans lowering and content consumption overflowing, everyone wants to consume at even faster rates. Applications like SnapChat brought about the phenomenon of exchanging images and emotions spontaneously and applications like Meerkat and Periscope promise to take it to the next level with showcasing the true picture every single second, providing a more honest, real and engaging interaction with people who wish to consume the content. Brands in India must start realizing the potential and incorporating these platforms within their strategy to ensure they're at the top of their game, always.
Here's an overview by the MindShift Interactive Digital team on the ongoing debate on whether Meerkat is better or Periscope is.
We'd love to hear your verdict in the comment box below.
The document discusses tools that journalists can use for reporting now and in the future. It describes hardware like backpacks that can livestream video instead of using satellite trucks, wearable cameras, drones, and smart glasses. It also discusses software tools for creating interactive content, curating social media, visualizing data, and multimedia storytelling. The document advocates that journalists continuously learn new tools to stay relevant and experiment with new technologies that may have unexpected applications for reporting.
The document discusses citizen journalism and grassroots media. It provides examples of different types of news videos that can be created on a tight budget, including photo slideshows, video clips, interviews, and stories. It also lists resources for citizen journalists to produce and share their work, such as YouTube and video editing software. The future of online video and tools that help integrate and annotate video are promising for citizen journalism.

The document discusses how mobile devices can be used by property marketers to create and share content simply and at low cost. It focuses on the Shoot2Share app, which allows agents to easily create personally branded videos of properties using guided storyboards and automatically publish them to YouTube. It also discusses Vieweet for creating 360 degree virtual tours and panoramas of properties that can be viewed on mobile or with VR goggles. Smart viewing allows for virtual property viewings online.
There are over 2.5 million potential condom consumers in Ukraine who use the internet. Durex and Contex are the leading brands. Competitors have been inactive on the internet, presenting an opportunity. The strategy is to inform Ukrainian internet users about Durex's new RealFeel sub-brand through a viral campaign using True View In-Display on YouTube and a "Challenge Call" encouraging users to make comic videos with condoms for prizes. The budget forecast is $394,844 for seeding 131,000 views, reaching 700,000 total views, and adapting creative content over 3 weeks.

Virtual events on Twitter have grown significantly due to increased live streaming consumption during the pandemic. Millennials and Gen Z especially are fueling this growth. Successful virtual events on Twitter focus on launches, entertainment, and support; plan promotion before and after the event; prioritize the community; design for participation; and allow constraints to spark creativity using Twitter's live streaming and engagement features.
2nd Screen at Yle: Case Puoli seitsemänMaria Hausen
My presentation in the 2nd screen ABC seminar organized by Commission Helsinki on 8 May 2014. The presentation focuses on a 2nd screen platform that the show "Puoli seitsemän" piloted during its "Style Week" in March.
Social TV has transformed TV from a one-way communication system to an interactive dialogue where TV watchers play an important role in co-creating the viewership experience.
Periscope is a live streaming social media app acquired by Twitter in 2015 that allows users to broadcast live video from their mobile devices. In its first year, Periscope saw over 200 million broadcasts and over 110 years of content watched daily. Strengths include notifications when people you follow broadcast, live commenting for interaction, and the ability to broadcast from anywhere globally. Weaknesses include the lack of an on-screen timer and comments fading quickly. Periscope is used by news organizations like CNN and provides an efficient way to broadcast events in real-time.
Social TV refers to using social media like Twitter to discuss TV show content as it airs. Hashtags on Twitter helped drive social discussion about TV starting in the late 2000s. The "second screen" of smartphones and tablets allows companion usage while watching TV. Twitter is a major platform for social TV discussion, with 66% of users tweeting about shows and 95% of TV chatter occurring on Twitter. Social engagement through hashtags can increase viewership. Apps like GetGlue and analytics companies measure social TV interactions and conversations to quantify audience engagement with shows. The future of social TV may include more integrated apps and rewards for non-linear viewing.
The student used various digital media technologies throughout the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages of their project. During research, they used YouTube to analyze trailers and identify narrative structures. Google was used for general research. Blogger was used to document the project journey. Software like Photoshop, Imovie and Audiotool were used for creation. The final trailer and other works would be distributed online through sites like YouTube to reach their target audience.
This document discusses how people's media consumption habits are changing as technology evolves. It notes that people are increasingly using multiple devices simultaneously (known as multi-screening). However, multi-screening behavior depends highly on the context and content being consumed. The document analyzes data on how consumption patterns vary based on factors like time of day, gender, genre of TV show watched, and whether the secondary activity complements or distracts from the primary one. It argues that to effectively reach people across devices, advertisers need a nuanced understanding of targets' behaviors, motivations, and contexts throughout the day.
