2. ABOUT MS. CASTON
• I am a single mother of four
• My oldest is a boy, Jartavious then
Jameria, and twins Jaden and Janiya
• I graduated from Jackson State University
in 2012 with a BS in Early Childhood
Education.
• I been un education for six years
• And a lab by the name of Buster

3. GETTING FROM HERE TO THERE
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT I KNOW :
• How every student in my class goes
home
• I can’t assume because a child tells me
• Please send a text, call or a note in
planner
• If your child is a car rider please
REMEMBER to put the sign in the
window as this will help with traffic
and children's going to the right car
(safely).
• If you need a sign please contact the
front office at (601) 601-221-2222

4. EARLY DISMISSAL
• Be sure to stop by the front office with identification, secretary will verify you are the
parent
• Please make sure any other person that checks out your child have proper
identification as well as permission to check out your child, this information will be
verified in our system before child is released
• Please make sure the child is signed out
• If you come visit, please stop by the front office with proper ID and obtain a VISITORS
PASS

5. LUNCH
COME EAT WITH ME
• * Lunch is at 11:00
• * First 5 minutes of lunch
is quiet lunch
• * Parents are welcome to
come and eat with your child
during lunch
• * Take lunch order
• * Lunch from home is a
choice as well

• Breakfast 7:45-8:30
• Restroom 8:30-8:45
• Morning Circle 8:45-9:05
• Center Rotation 9:05-10:05 (30 mins sections)
• Recess 10:05-11:00
• Lunch 11:00-11:25
• Restroom 11:25-11:40
• Specials 11:40-12:00
• Computer Rotation 12:00-1:00
• Restroom 1:00-1:15

• Homework is assigned daily, except Friday
• Please check homework folder daily and sign
• Student behavior is listed, daily news , report cards and any other parent information

• FRIDAY FRENZY FOLDERS is the folder that will go home every other Friday, this folder
will contain your child’s work. This is a way to track your child's progress.
• Please sign and return on Monday
• Conferences will take place through out the school year.

10. BEHAVIOR
• School rules are introduced on the first day of school and reviewed daily
• Behavior and consequences for inappropriate behavior are addressed the first day of
school
• Students are given the chance to practice appropriate behavior
• Please go over the rules found in the student handbook
