Ms. Caston welcomes parents to her first grade class. She provides information about herself, her classroom schedule, behavior expectations, and how parents can contact her. The schedule includes morning work, reading, math, homework and special subjects. Ms. Caston wants parents to contact the office with any changes to pickup and to sign homework folders daily. She looks forward to seeing the students for the first day of school and having an awesome year.

• I am a single mother of four
• My oldest is a boy, Jartavious then
Jameria, and twins Jaden and Janiya
• I graduated from Jackson State University
in 2012 with a BS in Early Childhood
Education.
• I been un education for six years
• And a lab by the name of Buster

3. GETTING FROM HERE TO THERE

• If your child is a car rider please

window as this will help with traffic
and children's going to the right car

4. EARLY DISMISSAL
• Be sure to stop by the front office with identification, secretary will verify you are the
parent
• Please make sure any other person that checks out your child have proper
identification as well as permission to check out your child, this information will be
verified in our system before child is released
• Please make sure the child is signed out
• If you come visit, please stop by the front office with proper ID and obtain a VISITORS
PASS

• School rules are introduced on the first day of school and reviewed daily
• Behavior and consequences for inappropriate behavior are addressed the first day of
school
• Students are given the chance to practice appropriate behavior
