This document outlines first aid treatments that are not considered medical treatment and would not be OSHA recordable. These include giving fluids for heat stress, using hot/cold therapy, massages, over-the-counter medications, tetanus shots, elastic bandages and temporary immobilization devices for transport, removing splinters, cleaning and dressing wounds, flushing eyes, using eye patches, finger guards, and draining blisters or fingernails. Medical treatments like sutures, staples, or injections are excluded.
