This project presents a door locking system which suggests two ways for unlocking a door using Internet of Things (IoT) and Fingerprint. Most of the major door lock security systems have several loopholes which could be broken down to gain access to the desired places, and it creates a concern for a secure lifestyle and proper working environment. People can access Internet services by using their cell phone, laptop and various gadgets. Fingerprint is a reliable biometric feature having a wide range of applications that require authentication. Biometric systems such as fingerprint provide tools to enforce reliable logs of system transactions and protect an individual’s right to privacy. In the proposed system, fingerprints of the authorized users are enrolled and verified to provide access to a facility that is used by multiple users. A user can also be removed and a new user can be enrolled in the system. We have implemented a centralized control system from where we can control who can enter in which rooms and who cannot. This is an Arduino Mega device based. Fingerprints are stored dynamically in a database for computing the different statistics.

This project describes about a smart intelligent security system for women. Women all over the world are facing much unethical physical harassment. This acquires a fast pace due to lack of a suitable surveillance system. Our project is a venture to resolve this problem. We are using two objects wrist band and spectacles that are used in day to day life. The system resembles a band on the wrist incorporated with pressure switch as an input which when activates shows the result Screaming alarm and tear gas mechanism are imposed for self-defensing purpose and send location and messages to the emergency contacts and also figure out the attacker using live streaming video. Tear gas mechanism and live streaming video using webcam is incorporated in the spectacles that act as a weapon of the smart technology. We really believe that this endeavor will make a difference in the women life.

A MATLAB-web interface that makes the security system completely automated and works on facial expression recognition, wherein upon sensing any trace of fear on the woman's face (image captured by a setup of 2 cameras), an alarm is set off that accesses the geo-location of the crime region and alert messages and emails are sent to the police stations nearby immediately by the server.
The safety in the house is very important.This project presents a prototype smart door lock which can be used to enhance security of a door which is a smart door lock.Here we can utilize Bluetooth technology to scan Bluetooth Devices at the door knob for automatic door lock purposes.
The Smart Home Automation made by using Arduino and Cayenne as IoT middleware to control and monitor through a mobile app and the web from anywhere at anytime.
The system configured to send SMS and Email notification due to the reaction of smoke, temperature, magnetic door, PIR motion sensors.

As we are moving in a World of advancement, so the security is the major concern in order to keep data isolate from the unauthorised users to access. In today’s World, we need high degree security system for the protection of our document, important data, as well as memory and jewellery. This review paper presents a secure fingerprint locker which is feasible. This system is proved successful on all norms of security of lockers. There are other methods of verifying authentication through password, RFID but this method is most efficient and reliable. To provide perfect security to the lockers and to make the work easier, this project is taking help of two different technologies, i.e. Embedded System and Biometrics. Biometrics is basically the measurement and use of unique characteristics of living beings to make them distinguish from one another. And this is more reliable then passwords and tokens which can be lost or stolen by the humans. In this paper we are providing the work done on this technique.

1. FINGER PRINT BASED SECURITY ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
ABSTRACT
According ancient Greek scripts BIOMETRICS means study of life. Biometrics studies
commonly include fingerprint, face, iris, voice, signature, and hand geometry recognition and
verification. Many other modalities are in various stages of development and assessment.
Among these available biometric traits Finger Print proves to be one of the best traits
providing good mismatch ratio and also reliable. The present scenario to operate a bank locker
is with locks which are having keys. By this we can’t say that we are going to provide good
security to our lockers. To provide perfect security and to make our work easier, we are taking
the help of two different technologies viz. EMBEDDED SYSTEMS and BIOMETRICS.
Firstly discussing about Biometrics we are concentrating on Fingerprint scanning. For this we
are using high voltage module as a scanner. This module has in-built ROM, DSP and RAM. In
this we can store up to 100 user’s fingerprints. This module can operate in 2 modes they are
Master mode and User mode. We will be using Master mode to register the fingerprints which
will be stored in the ROM present on the scanner with a unique id.
When this module is interfaced to the microcontroller, we will be using it in user mode. In this
mode, we will be verifying the scanned images with the stored images. When coming to our
application the images of the persons who are authorized to enter into the room will be stored
in the module with a unique id. To prove that the persons are authorized to enter that area they
need to scan their images.
This scanner is interfaced to microcontroller. By using this controller we will be controlling
the scanning process. After the scanning has been completed the door automatically unlocks
with the help of electric lock. If an unauthorized person tries to scan his image then the door
doesn’t opens for him.
The project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is
used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac out put of
secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.
