This document summarizes a study analyzing the metabolomics of neuronal cells exposed to amyloid-beta (Aβ) and alpha-synuclein (α-syn) proteins. Principal component analysis was used to analyze NMR spectra of control cells and cells exposed to Aβ or α-syn. The analysis revealed clustering of the different cell groups. Preliminary spectra identified differences in metabolites like alanine, lactate, glutamine, and glutamate between groups. Pathway analysis showed the citrate cycle, amino acid metabolism, and other pathways were affected. The goal is to understand how Aβ and α-syn influence cellular pathways and function.
