Juli M. Kimura Walters had an unexpected journey to becoming a landscape architect. As the daughter of artists, she was originally interested in music and received a bachelor's degree in that field. However, a chance meeting in her last year of college led her to switch careers and become one of Hawaii's pioneering female landscape architects.
Sarah Kownacki has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Geography from Millersville University. She has worked as an intern at Keystone Trails Association where she participated in committees, secured grants, and engaged in trail maintenance. Kownacki also has work experience in retail and as a student worker and editing assistant. She is currently continuing her internship at Keystone Trails Association while working in footwear sales.

historic facts relating to Hawaiʻi and the Hawaiian culture.
To be eligible for posting, Events must include the following:
Have a Native Hawaiian Cultural component for posting within the State of Hawaii
Have a Native Hawaiian or Polynesian Cultural component for postings in the
Continental US
Be a “Special Event” not something that happens as part of a regular schedule of
events
Include a photo in jpg or png format
Include text regarding the event, pdf copies not accepted
