Joys of Absence: Emotion, Emotion Display, and Interaction Tension in Video G...Sebastian Deterding
Paper presented at Foundations of Digital Games 2015: While Erving Goffman’s work on frames has found broad adoption in game research, his sociological theory of gameplay enjoyment as “euphoric ease” has not been probed, although it is one of the few theories of gameplay enjoyment focusing what is absent in gameplay. Because spontaneous and socially demanded emotional involvement often align in gameplay, Goffman holds, it lacks the effortful self-regulation of conduct and emotion typical for everyday life. This paper presents an empirical grounding of Goffman’s theory, drawing on a qualitative interview study on social norms of emotion regulation in video game play. Data suggests that the absence of active emotional self-control may indeed be a hygiene factor of game enjoyment most strongly found in solitary gameplay, afforded by a socio-material setting licensing the display of gaming-typical emotions, and shielding form potentially disapproving onlookers.

As we learn more and more about the way the brain works, we’re coming to understand that traditional methods of measuring intelligence no longer apply — at least not the way they used to
This is a Bully reform program that has been designed to TEACH the Bully How it feels to be Bullied a reform the behavior.
This is alternative method that can be adapted into a School's existing program. Instead of an out of school suspension where the bully learns nothing about their behavior. An in school suspension where the Bully must attend a Bully Reform course with different classes to learn about Empathy, The Victim and their struggles they have. This program gives the Victim a chance to Self Advocate and tell the Bully exactly how they feel and Take back their Power. There is a ROLE PLAY activity and a Role reversal and a Common ground class, where the Bully and the Victim must find something in common with each other and have a real conversation about something they both like. This is a Positive learning approach to reforming Bully Culture in our schools.
This is a Training Program I have designed that can be adapted by schools to help resolve issues with bullying. It provides an alternative to out of school suspension to be replaced with in-school suspension where the Bully is required to take a Bully Reform Course. The bully will learn about EMPATHY, How the victim feels. The victims get a chance to Self Advocate and tell the bully their feelings. Victim and Bully with ROLE PLAY switch places and act out scenarios. Then they will have a Common Ground activity to find something they have in common and have a conversation. WE need to reform Bullying of ALL kinds. For Purposes of my course work this training focuses on Autism.

WINDING UP of COMPANY, Modes of DissolutionKHURRAMWALI
Winding up, also known as liquidation, refers to the legal and financial process of dissolving a company. It involves ceasing operations, selling assets, settling debts, and ultimately removing the company from the official business registry.
Here's a breakdown of the key aspects of winding up:
Reasons for Winding Up:
Insolvency: This is the most common reason, where the company cannot pay its debts. Creditors may initiate a compulsory winding up to recover their dues.
Voluntary Closure: The owners may decide to close the company due to reasons like reaching business goals, facing losses, or merging with another company.
Deadlock: If shareholders or directors cannot agree on how to run the company, a court may order a winding up.
Types of Winding Up:
Voluntary Winding Up: This is initiated by the company's shareholders through a resolution passed by a majority vote. There are two main types:
Members' Voluntary Winding Up: The company is solvent (has enough assets to pay off its debts) and shareholders will receive any remaining assets after debts are settled.
Creditors' Voluntary Winding Up: The company is insolvent and creditors will be prioritized in receiving payment from the sale of assets.
Compulsory Winding Up: This is initiated by a court order, typically at the request of creditors, government agencies, or even by the company itself if it's insolvent.
Process of Winding Up:
Appointment of Liquidator: A qualified professional is appointed to oversee the winding-up process. They are responsible for selling assets, paying off debts, and distributing any remaining funds.
Cease Trading: The company stops its regular business operations.
Notification of Creditors: Creditors are informed about the winding up and invited to submit their claims.
Sale of Assets: The company's assets are sold to generate cash to pay off creditors.
Payment of Debts: Creditors are paid according to a set order of priority, with secured creditors receiving payment before unsecured creditors.
Distribution to Shareholders: If there are any remaining funds after all debts are settled, they are distributed to shareholders according to their ownership stake.
Dissolution: Once all claims are settled and distributions made, the company is officially dissolved and removed from the business register.
Impact of Winding Up:
Employees: Employees will likely lose their jobs during the winding-up process.
Creditors: Creditors may not recover their debts in full, especially if the company is insolvent.
Shareholders: Shareholders may not receive any payout if the company's debts exceed its assets.
Winding up is a complex legal and financial process that can have significant consequences for all parties involved. It's important to seek professional legal and financial advice when considering winding up a company.

10. Background Research
Research was found on the following topics related to sensory
issues:
★ Performance on sensory profile
★ Sensory processing in kids with autism
★ Sensory processing issues in kids with aspergers
★ Neurological sensory processing in autism
11. Application of Research to PSA
➢ Application to PSA: This sensory profile can be used as a tool to identify sensory areas to be targeted
and help come up with interventions to deal with sensory issues during emergencies
➢ Applications to PSA: Identifying types of sensory processing issues and being aware of their existence
can help us help kids with ASD to deal with emergency situations and take the steps necessary to help
them to be prepared
➢ There is a relationship between the sensory processing and functions in daily life-sensitivity can impact
their day to day behavior
➢ Application to PSA: Shows that sensory processing issues can affect typical reactions in emergency
situations.
➢ Observations can lead to diagnosis and treatment techniques for kids with autism
➢ Application to PSA: We can identify specific parts of the brain that will be overwhelmed in a crisis, and
develop treatment plans based on these findings.
12. Research shows the importance of studying sensory development issues
and understanding how we can help these individuals cope with a crisis
