3. INTRODUCTION
• Nowadays, Composite materials are generally used in areas where
conventional materials like Steel and Aluminum are used due to their high
strength to weight ratio and low cost.
• In today’s economy, GFRP have established themselves as the market
leader.
• As GFRP provide certain mechanical and thermal properties, We are going
increasing its efficiency more by adding SBF as reinforcement.
4. AIM & OBJECTIVE
1.To design and perform analysis on cylindrical pipe
2.To perform the numerical analysis of pipe with GFRP,
GFRP with SBF, Aluminum alloy.
3.To prepare laminate of GFRP with SBF and conduct test
for Structural and Thermal applications.
5. Why SBF is chosen as reinforcement..?

Ansys-Based Evaluation of Natural Fiber and Hybrid
Fiber-Reinforced Composite
Kumpati, R.; Skarka,W.; Skarka, M
• The density of the natural fiber reinforced polyester composite
decreases as fiber content increases.
• As the fiber content is increased, there is an effective decrease
in the thermal conductivity.
• 0° HFRC ply orientation and 45° ply orientation
with approx. 3mm thickness shows great result
and can be used in wing construction and skins
for unmanned aerial vehicles.
