This document outlines a student engineering project to design a water treatment system for agricultural irrigation from a reservoir in Clemson, South Carolina. The project aims to develop a facility that can transform water from Lake Issaqueena into effluent meeting water quality standards for irrigation without clogging existing conveyance systems. Key aspects of the project include identifying water quality parameters, researching filtration and disinfection technologies, designing and modeling a treatment system, and presenting recommendations. The project addresses challenges of ensuring food security and access to clean water through reliable irrigation.
