5. Introduction
HR professionals face numerous challenges in the modern corporate world, ranging from talent
acquisition and retention to compliance and legal issues.
Organizational culture sets the tone for the work environment, influencing the values, beliefs, and
behaviours of employees.
When the culture aligns with employees' needs and expectations, it can foster a sense of
belonging, purpose, and engagement, leading to higher levels of job satisfaction.
A positive culture that promotes open communication, recognition, and opportunities for growth
can contribute to employee retention by creating a supportive and fulfilling work environment.
Conversely, a toxic or misaligned culture can hinder employee satisfaction and increase turnover
rates.
Therefore, understanding the influence of organizational culture on employee satisfaction and
retention is crucial for HR professionals as they strive to cultivate a culture that supports the well-
being and retention of employees within the organization
6
6. Background
In today's dynamic and competitive business landscape, organizations recognize that employee
satisfaction and retention are crucial for achieving sustainable success.

emerges as a significant determinant.
This research aims to assess the influence of organizational culture on employee satisfaction and
retention by examining the interplay between these variables.
Understanding the intricate relationship between organizational culture and these crucial
employee outcomes, it is essential for organizations striving to create a positive and engaging
workplace that attracts and retains top talent.
This research aims to assess the influence of organizational culture on employee satisfaction and
retention by examining the interplay between these variables.
A thorough exploration of the existing literature, coupled with the application of appropriate
research methods, will enable the investigation of the complex dynamics that exist between
organizational culture, employee satisfaction, and retention.
7
7. Background (cont)
By critically reviewing relevant theoretical frameworks, models, and empirical studies, this
research endeavours to build upon the existing knowledge base and contribute to the growing
body of literature in this field.
The data analysis will involve statistical techniques, such as correlation and regression analysis, to
identify the strength and significance of the relationship between organizational culture, employee
satisfaction, and retention.
The implications of the research can assist organizations in developing strategies and
interventions that align their culture with the goal of enhancing employee satisfaction and
increasing retention rates.
The subsequent sections of this capstone project will delve into the research methodology,
analysis of findings, and recommendations, offering a comprehensive investigation into the topic
and its implications for both theory and practice.

9. Data Collection Methodology
• Collected primary data via survey (Google form:
https://forms.gle/4LankiDbNHna4SB9A )
• Sample Population : Professionals from IT Sector
• Selected Sample Size is 37
• Likert scale (1-7) is used for collecting the answers from respondents 1 being strongly
disagreed and 7 being strongly agreed
• Average age of respondents is 36 years
• Questionnaire consist of statements
• Primary data used
• Technique used for data collection is random sampling technique.
10
11. DATA ANALYTICS
12
A SET OF 31 STATEMENTS WERE PREPARED AND
ANALYSED KEEPING IN MIND THE PROBLEM
STATEMENT WHICH WERE TO BE MEASURED IN A
LIKERT SCALE.
1. THE QUESTIONNAIRE HAD BASIC
DEMOGRAPHIC DATA WITHOUT GOING
INTO TO MANY SPECIFICS AS THE
RESPONDENTS ARE SCEPTICAL TO DIVULGE
THE SAME. THE QUESTIONNAIRE WAS
CIRCULATED IN A GOOGLE FORM AMONGST
WORKING PROFESSIONALS FROM THE IT
INDUSTRY WITHOUT BEING SPECIFIC TO
ANY PARTICULAR ENTERPRISE.
2. KEEPING IN MIND THE TIME AVAILABLE TO
SUBMIT THE PROJECT, RESPONSES FROM 37
INDIVIDUALS WERE RECEIVED.
4. BASED ON THE RESPONSES THE DATA HAS
BEEN STATISTICALLY ANALYSED.
1. MS EXCEL HAS BEEN USED TO FIND THE
CORRELATION BETWEEN THE VARIABLES
AND OUTPUT WAS GENERATED AND
ANALYZED.
2. WHILE CARRYING OUT “REGRESSION
ANALYSIS” USING MS EXCEL, IT SHOWED AN
ERROR SAYING NOT MORE THAN 16
VARIABLES CAN BE CONSIDERED IN THE
“INPUT X RANGE”
3. ACCORDINGLY, THE CORRELATION WAS
AGAIN ANALYZED AND FEW VARIABLES
WERE DELETED. AS THE STATEMENTS WERE
RELEVANT WE CONSIDERED 25 VARIABLES
FOR THE ANALYSIS TO INCLUDE
CORRELATION. IT WAS DECIDED THAT THE
HYPOTHESIS TESTING WILL BE DONE IN
TWO PARTS WITH 13 VARIABLES EACH,
WITH ONE VARIABLE “INPUT Y RANGE”
BEING COMMON.
HAVING OBTAINED THE RESPONSES AND
STATISTICALLY ANALYSED THE DATA USING MS
EXCEL THE FOLLOWING FACTORS NEED TO BE
TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION TO ENSURE
EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION AND RETENTION
WITH RESPECT TO ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE.
a. TO RECOMMEND THE WORKPLACE TO

Set 1 : For this set of variables, the “P” value is .782229765 which is higher than .05 hence hypothesis is
accepted

rejected.(Note : In some cases the P value considered is .01, if that be considered then for Set 2 null
hypothesis can also be accepted)
