13. Shadowing Experience I really enjoyed going to Sonoma Coffee Café to do my shadowing experience. Lauri, our mentor, gave us so much great advice! We also realized how many permits there is just to own a simple little café. She showed us the things she does around the store and what is necessary. She also told us how they were 7 months into the business and she wasn’t making money. It was a really nice feeling to be there and I loved the customer-employee friendliness and how they knew each other. It’s better than going somewhere else when you’re only a number.
