Film Production Risk Assessment
This document is intended as a basic template to assist in the completion of a risk assessment for film production activities. Detailed
information is available from a variety of risk management and risk assessment specialists. Useful information can also be obtained from the
Health & Safety Executive www.hse.gov.uk
When conducting a risk assessment, consider all the likely hazards; who may be harmed, property which may be damaged, and the controls
already in place. Then, for each likely hazard, bearing in mind the controls already in place, record the ‘risk assessment’ level. The further
action(s) to be considered will be determined by the level of risk assessment.

Preliminary Risk Assessment
Health checks need to be carried out on each person to avoid any health-related accident occurring for example if one of the actors is an asthmatic
he must have his inhaler with him at all times.
Check the location for hazards before shooting (broken glass).
Ensure appropriate clothing is worn at all times.
Do not film in severe weather condition if outdoors.
Make sure there is fully charged mobile phone on hand in case of emergencies and important matters.
Have water on location to prevent the risk of dehydration.
Be aware of the public and make sure they don’t interrupt filming.
Make sure all of the crew stick together to avoid losing anybody.
