It is made up of production companies, distribution companies, and exhibition companies. In 2007, 516 films were released in the UK, a 58% increase over the prior decade. The three largest film studios are Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, and Film4. Universal Studios is owned by Comcast, 20th Century Fox by 21st Century Fox, and Film4 by Channel Four Television Corporation.
