2.  A set of words will come onto the screen and you will
need to identify them. You will hold up a colored card
to show that you know which one is which.
 Personification = Pink
 Idiom = Indigo
 Alliteration= Yellow
 Simile= Spring Blue
 Metaphor= Lime Green
 Onomatopoeia= Orange

3. Lucy let the cat out of the bag
when she told everyone the
secret.

4.  Students who spend more
time studying will succeed.

5. Crash! The sound from the
garage told me that trouble
was on its way.

6. Her tears were like a waterfall
as she sobbed her bad news.

7. The flower stretched out its
leaves and welcomed the
sunshine with open arms.

8. The child moved like a turtle
as she prepared to leave for
the dentist.

10. I have to hit the road if I am
going to get there on time.
