 A set of words will come onto the screen and you will
    need to identify them. You will hold up a colored card
    to show that you know which one is which.
   Personification = Pink
   Idiom = Indigo
   Alliteration= Yellow
   Simile= Spring Blue
   Metaphor= Lime Green
   Onomatopoeia= Orange
Lucy let the cat out of the bag
 when she told everyone the
 secret.
 Students who spend more
time studying will succeed.
Crash! The sound from the
garage told me that trouble
was on its way.
Her tears were like a waterfall
 as she sobbed her bad news.
The flower stretched out its
 leaves and welcomed the
 sunshine with open arms.
The child moved like a turtle
 as she prepared to leave for
 the dentist.
         Do I have to go?
The argument was a rain
cloud darkening my day.
I have to hit the road if I am
 going to get there on time.
“A colony of vicious army
 ants, one million strong,
 crackled, as the ants stirred
 like a pot of boiling water in
 their bivouac between two
 rocks. (this one is a double!)
For the next few slides, we are
 going to be reviewing Synonym,
 Antonym, and Homophone.
 You may whisper the answer to
 the question asked when you
 know it.
I went to the sail after school
 today.
The mane idea of that story was
 easy to understand.
I like my cheeseburger plane,
 with nothing on it.
