computer networks, built on top of FIBRE’s project legacy
infrastructure and operated as a service for the academic

• Vision: A testbed service, integrated to major testbed
infrastructures worldwide, operated by the Brazilian NREN

7. • Data protection is key to attract industry to use the testbed
(concern about industrial espionage) > Need to improve
data policies
• Data flows are isolated from other testbed users
• Portability of data (experiment setup and results) is listed as
one of the main requirements

8. • Deploy OMF6 as the new control software
• Produce new training material for operators and users
• Promote actions to train professors to use the testbed in the
classroom
• Installation of new islands (support to FUTEBOL´s members)
• Rethinking the testbed hardware arquitecture
• Ideas of creating thematic islands for experimentation with:
wireless resources, IoT sensors, programmable network
components and… cloud computing infrastructures.
