Basketball National Team.
• Continuously improve the qualify of National Teams across all
ages.
OUR MISSION ;
• To build a strong Basketball National Team who is ready to

4. Greetings,
I’d like to congratulate our Under-16 men’s team
on their bronze medal in 2015’s SEABA Under 16 Men’s
Championships in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. This
qualified us for this year’s FIBA ASIA Under-16 Men’s
championships, which will be held in Jakarta, Indone-
sia.
This team of young men has proven that we’re able
to reach the FIBA Asia championships not because we
are hosting it, but through their hard-earned victories
during the SEABA championships.
On behalf of PP Perbasi, I am proud of the struggle
and passion that both players and coaches have de-
livered, and am proud to lift up Indonesia’s basketball.
The competition continues to the FIBA Asia Un-
der-16 Championships in Jakarta. I believe that our
men’s team consists of the strongest players across our
country, and I hope they are able to give their all, and
bring the best for Indonesia.
Lastly, I would like to thank all parties who have wel-
comed our Under-16 men’s team with open arms and
nourished its growth. I see this team as the seed to In-
donesia’s future in basketball.
May Indonesia’s Basketball be ever advancing.

5. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today, Basketball is rapidly gaining popularity
across the globe. Every class of society, both old
and young, across all nations are able to enjoy
it. We cannot deny that Indonesia is a part of this
movement.
Numerous Basketball events have been held
across Indonesia in all age groups, involving many
communities. The mother of these, is Perbasi. They
have one goal: to make Basketball a place for In-
donesia’s youth to take part in healthy competition,
growing to become quality Indonesian leaders.
Perbasi has also sent young national teams to
represent Indonesia in Championships held by Bas-
ketball’s world leader, FIBA. The National Under-16
Men’s team participating in the FIBA Champion-
ships has given Indonesian youth a chance to com-
pete and grow, both of which propels Basketball in
Indonesia.
I believe that Basketball in Indonesia may con-
tinue to develop, and that it will bring the highest
form of achievement to our country.

6. FIBAASIAThe FIBA Asia contains 44 Asian FIBA federations, with championships held every exchang-
ing year for Under-16 and Under-18 teams respectively. Each championship serves as Asia’s
qualifying tournament for the following year’s FIBA World Championships. This year, qualifying
teams from all over Asia will gather in Jakarta, Indonesia for a chance to qualify and compete
in next year’s world championships. Previously, Indonesia’s Under-18 team has taken 11th
place in the 2012 FIBA Asia championships, while the Under-16 team took 7th place in 2011’s
championships, setting high bars for this year’s Under-16 men’s team.
7. SEABASEABA, also known as the South-East Asia Basketball Association is a sub-zone of FIBA
Asia, consisting of 11 member countries. The SEABA championships for Under-16 and Under-18
age groups are held on separate and exchanging years, and serve as a qualifier for the
more prestigious FIBA Asia championships. Previously, Indonesia’s Under-18 team has taken
3rd place in both the 2012 and 2014 SEABA championships. Additionally, Indonesia’s Under-16
men’s team won 3rd place in both the 2011 and 2015 championships, qualifying the team
twice for the FIBA Asia championships.
8. PROFILE
COACH
Eddy Santoso, nicknamed Coach Hok Swie by many, is
the head coach for Indonesia’s SEABA and FIBA Asia Under-16
Men’s teams, with unparalleled National and International per-
formance. He has led National League teams to gold medals, as
well as trained Indonesia’s best players in the Under-24 National
team. His expertise with younger ages is clear, having successfully
brought East Java’s adolescent team to consecutive gold and sil-
ver medals. He also coached the Under-16 Men’s team, bringing
them to their bronze medal in the SEABA championships. With his
skill, Coach Hok Swie is the best possible coach for the FIBA Asia
National team.

Vendy Tantono. Despite being small in years,
his experience with building and coaching
Under-16 men’s and women’s teams is un-
precedented. Additionally, an unsurpassed
harmony with the head coach is certain.
Therefore, he has been chosen as Indone-
sia’s Assistant Coach for 2015’s SEABA and
FIBA Asia Under-16 Men’s championship.
