Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder ( Fasd )
Introduction
Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) is a general term consist disabilities when a mother consumes alcohol during her pregnancy. The medical
prognosis of FASD includes: Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), Partial Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (PFAS), Alcohol Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder
(ARND) and Alcohol Related Birth Defects (ARBD). Moreover, teratogen is a harmful agent that can interrupt the development of an embryo. For
instance, alcohol is teratogen. As per Health Canada, FASD is a leading cause of a completely avertable developmentaldisability but it still affects
approximately one percent of the Canadian population (Batshaw, Roizen & Lotrecchiano, 2012). However, there are many alterations to the disabilities
and the development of sub–groups. Thereby, the term FASD is introduced to ensure the incidence of all the characteristics (mental, behavioral and
physical) associated with prenatal exposure to alcohol. The exposure to alcohol during the pregnancy places the infant at the risk of developing
problems such as abnormal appearance, low body weight, poor coordination, low intelligence, facial abnormalities, neuropsychological deficits, central
nervous system deficits and growth delays (Riley, Infante & Warren, 2011). As the paper progress, we will discuss the characteristics, causes and the
epidemiology of FASD. In addition we will all focus on the mental disorder such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) associated with
FASD and a

THE AMERICAN DREAM 2000 WORD ESSAY
Nathan Houghton pd 3
The Declaration of Independence grants the pursuit of happiness to all Americans. While at that time it might have been just for rich white men, the
American dream has been spread out to all Americans no matter what race, religion, sexual orientation, or wealth. The United States is a huge melting
pot of different races and ethnicity and if you work hard enough you can become successful. Although that path may not be easy, the outcome will be
great. The American Dream means equal opportunity for all Americans and it is indeed still alive. The American dream consists of the ability to come
from a foreign country and be able to become a successful business man or woman. In...show more content...
As long as you try your best you will have some success in your life. But if you do not, the dream will not be achievable. As Kevin Bacon once
said, "There 's this American dream to put enough away that you can golf and build a birdhouse or just be in a Barcalounger watching football all
day. I 'll never be that guy. And I 'm not really sure the people who have that are all that happy. Our desires as a man are to work, plow ahead, and
overcome conflict". What he means when he says this quote is that you can do and become whatever you want in America and nobody can say a
thing about it. It is very likely that you or your ancestors came from another country to start a new life or to escape hardships in their country.
When people immigrate from one country to another they work an insane amount of hours to try and make it in life in their new home. But if you
don't work hard enough you will not make it and it will be tough to become successful in your life. The American Dream consists of hard work and
"elbow grease" as the clichГ© goes. But it is true and relevant when it comes to this subject. But no matter how much it is used it works and helps
people achieve their dreams.Having a partner to help fund you can be very helpful, especially if you need a kick–start if you're making a new company.
Likewise, people will always make excuses for failing because they don't want to admit that it was themselves who caused them to fail. On the T.V.

Social Issues Of A Materialistic Society
1.We as individuals live in a very materialistic society. Some individuals buy material items because they think having material possessions gives them
a higher social status and makes them happier. In most cases, when individuals have materialistic items, they have a tendency to redirect their focus to
getting more stuff. Sadly, for some, the more they have the more they want to get. Possessions do not equalhappiness! In fact, there are a lot of social
issues in a capitalistic society that go hand–and–hand with a materialistic lifestyle. According to the research journal, Personality and Individual
Differences, "materialistic people find it more difficult to be grateful for what they have, which causes them to become miserable". For example,
those who are very materialistic have higher rates for suicide, nervous breakdowns, or mental illnesses compared to a person who is not (1).
Unfortunately, some individuals go through life with the mindset "without materialistic items I cannot thrive and become who I really am". Ultimately,
while incorporating Gerald M. Nosich's elements for critical thinking I will be using a wide variety of examples and research to explain the definition
of happiness, why everyone should believe that possessions cannot supply one with long–term happiness, and the secret for one to experience
everlasting happiness.
2.Happiness... For many, it is simply being able to live freely and do whatever, whenever without having any restrictions that may

2000 Word Essay on Disrespecting an NCO by SPC BUTLER On November 21, I received a negative counseling for disrespecting a Non
Commissioned Officer, though it was warranted by a series of events I didn't agree with I should have found a more appropriate way to voice my
concerns. The online dictionary defines disrespect as an expression of lack of respect and a fashion that is generally disrespectful and contemptuous.
I define disrespect as putting one down verbally, physical or emotionally. In this essay I will be talking about the research I did on article 88 and 91 of
the uniformed code of military justice. Disrespect and insubordination in the army affects the ability of a unit to maintain discipline and order. The

It could also cause the soldier not to have a chance to exceed or grow as a soldier or a leader such as go to schools, warrior leaders' course, or even
the promotion board. Disrespect also could be viewed by jumping the chain of command or the NCO support channel. Non Commissioned
Officers are literately the backbone of the military even as it says in the NCO creed. The NCOs do countless jobs that are not totally
acknowledged. Sometimes non commissioned officers help soldiers in many ways and sometimes do not require acknowledgement except to see
the soldier strive to success. The NCO corps has to demand respect from everyone lower then them. Because they are the leaders they have to
increase moral and to motivate soldiers to do their best. We all have a job to do and we as soldiers we have to know what we are doing and willing
to do it. So the moral of the soldiers is important otherwise nothing would ever get done. And with that the NCO also motivates the soldiers. And
motivation drives the soldier to do their best and get the task, job, mission done proficiently and in a timely manner. No matter the circumstance,
whether you agree or not, you are not allowed to talk back, physically fight back, or question judgment. The importance of maintaining correct protocol
and military bearing on and off duty is essential because to show disrespect to an NCO when in uniform could cause disrespect among civilians about
the military in general. Any

Reaction Paper On Abortion
Part One My topic is abortion and what makes this topic interesting to me is my aunt, who is a gynecologist. She has a lot of patients and I was
interested in Athena's life a lot. Athena comes from a close and strict family, they did not want their daughter to date or even talk to someone who
does not want to marry her. She was only 18 when started talking to a guy named Ali. Ali had psychological problems and never said anything to
Athena about it. She didn't know that she is falling in his trap by going to his house. When she woke up the day after she was on the floor with
lots of bruises and cuts on her hands her body was hurting so much and there was blood everywhere; she could not remember anything because of
the drugs he gave her that night. She went to the doctor and they confirmed that Ali raped her. After 2 months, she found out that she was pregnant.
She could not say anything to her parents because they would kick her out of the house and never talk to her again. The only logical thought was
abortion because she did not want to have a baby from a guy who raped her. She had an abortion when she was only 18 years old and never said
anything to her parents about it. I felt really bad for Athena because abortion is one of the hardest decisions that a woman can make. I personally do
not wish to be in this position, though I do think women should have a choice. Abortion is one of the biggest controversies going on all around the
world and currently women all around

The Marketing Strategy Of Business Strategy
The research program started in 1984 by MIT Sloan School of Management studies the influence of IT on organization (Morton, 1991). Results include
IT application needs changes in organizational and management structure as well as organizations are required to go through necessary transformation
to compete globally. That findings lead to the MIT90S framework. Another study looked at the IT's responsiveness to business strategy creation (Tan,
1995). Here, the responsiveness is defined as the degree to which information technology is exactly considered in the formulation of business strategy.
The key finding is that the prospector business strategy is more IT–strategy responsiveness than analyser and defender. In other words, IT is more

to determine the strategic vision and to handle the problems of implementation. According to figure2, in contrast, in the MIT strategic model of change

environment and to manage the internal resources to meet that alignment (Miyamoto, Kudo and Iizuka, 2014). In terms of strategic change, the
business strategy is being shaped gradually and is an outcome instead of a driver. In terms of IT, IT becomes an integrated part of a firm's key business
process. To be more specific, the story begins with the increasing and tactical adoption of technology in order to catch up with the performance of the
competitors. Then, it becomes the driver of changes in individual roles, management process and corporate structure, which constituting

Aristotle on Justice
In this paper, I shall address two central contemporary criticisms of Aristotle's conception of justice. These criticisms of Aristotle's account of specific
justice have focused on two central problems. First, Aristotle's insistence that all specifically unjust actions are motivated by pleonexia Pleonexia can
be understood as the desire to have more of some socially availablegood, and is usually translated as greed or acquisitiveness.
Close . Second, Aristotle does not identify a deficient vice with respect to justice. This violates his "golden mean" doctrine with respect to virtue.
Without the identification of the deficient vice with respect to justice, then justice must not be a virtue of character. Due to considerations of...show

Defending one's home, fighting against invaders, when they are attacking the state to preserve one's family and friends is an example of the
application of these qualifications on the virtue of courage. Considering how this action affects the overall well being of others, we are considering
how the action is generally just. In sum, the distinction being made here is that the same virtue can be seen all by itself, as a part of the character of
an individual only, and where the virtue is in relation to another person in a particular political community, and its effects on the well being of others
in that political community. We have the same state considered from different perspectives. Aristotle says that justice is spoken of in two ways: as
lawful and as fair. I will discuss general justice first in order to distinguish it from specific justice. Generally speaking, general justice is concerned with
the common good of the community. In the Politics, Aristotle refers to justice as being a communal virtue. "Similarly, then, we shall say that virtue has
a just claim in the dispute, since [general] justice, we say, is a communal (koinoniken) virtue, which all the other virtues necessarily accompany"
(Pol.1283a36–39 trans. Reeve [modified]). This communal or relational aspect of justice shows up both in general and specific justice. I shall discuss

The Era Of The Cold War Essay
The era of the Cold War was a tumultuous time where conflicts arose in many aspects of American culture and international wars waged to prevent the
spread of Soviet influence over other nations. U.S. foreign policy would see much intervention, where nations were used to engage in proxy wars. The
United States' domestic politics would see much panic among congress and many senators, where the looming fears of Soviet influence and communist
spies altered how politicians and lawmakers conducted themselves and how laws were passed. The influence the cold War held on American society
would have many civil liberties violated and ignored, tensions would erupt consequently leading to protests which see the fabric of society tear as

"[B]oth sides had seen, in a sad scrawl of broken earth and murdered men, the answer to the question....Neither race had won, nor could win, the War.
The War had won, and would go on winning."1 These are the words of Edmund Blunden, a British soldier who survived the Battle of the Somme, who
came to the realization that nobody could claim victory in the twentieth–century mass warfare, because both winners and losers paid a high price. The
new type of warfare launched in the twentieth–century had a great impact on the modern world that went beyond the immediate cost of casualties.2

Increasing numbers of thinkers and writers expressed their somber views about the new reality of life. Paul ValГ©ry argued that "the best of life
is behind us, that fullness is behind us, but disarray and doubt are in us and with us."8 People didn't know what to expect anymore. Great numbers

still we can reasonably fear it."9 The storm in this case was the war which left people in such a shock that they looked upon the future with great
apprehension and uneasiness. The soldiers that served in the war were hit especially hard by the horror of war. Erich Maria Remarque, a German

My Love Story
When I was younger I would make conversation with any breathing personage. As I grew older just the thought of having to interact with someone I
did not know was mortifying. Therefore, signing up for a full week of a Young Life camp was one of the hardest decisions I have made. Trying to
back out the night before, I wandered on to the bus at six in the morning. A forty–five minute drive and forced to scarf up my cell phone. Arriving at the
camp we were greeted by a thousand smiling faces. Settling into our cabin, I was a little more relaxed until I heard the bell. Curiously, we walked
out onto the porch to see everyone running. Our cabin quickly followed into the chaos. I Pushed and scraped my way through everyone, and made my
way to the front row of the club room. I thought to myself how idiotic it was, I was already a Christian. What else is there to learn about God? Little did
I know. That night was the first time I had been introduced to God on a deeper level. I saw him as intimidating and loving instead of a fictional
character in my head. I felt comfort and at peace for once. July twenty–fourth, two thousand and sixteen is the day that changed my life forever. I heard
the greatest love story of all time. Most people know what it feels like to be loved by a family member, friend, or a spouse. However, nobody can
grip the thought of someone loving them as much as Jesus. He could have stopped the Roman soldiers at any given point. However, without His mercy
and grace we

Solar Power And Solar Energy
Solar Energy On one bright sunny day in July, as Victor was walking through the town where he was vacationing, he noticed something he had never
seen before. Grid–like panels on top of a house sparked his curiosity. After returning to the hotel he was staying at, Victor asked to use the business
center. He browsed the internet as he tried to figure out what the curious panels were. He eventually came across Solar panels in his search and he
began to take an interest in the subject. Victor soon found out why he had never seen the solar panels before; they were used minimally in today's
world and were a small percentage of all energy sources in the United States. Victor didn't know why this was, because in his quick research, he
learned there were many benefits to solar energy compared to how little of disadvantages there were. He decided he would look into solar energy
more when he got home and consider obtaining a solar energy system. He figured from the advantages, solar energy will start to become more
present. Solar energy is increasingly emerging as an energy source that can compete with fossil fuels. Solar cells, or Photovoltaic (PV) cells, are cells
that convert sunlight into energy for everyday needs. PV cells can be used for electricity in homes or businesses, heating water for a home, or even
heating a house directly through large windows and dark furniture, floors, and walls. The Bell Telephone company discovered the photovoltaic effect
("Solar Photovoltaic").

Sigmund Freud Theories
Sigmund Freud's Theories in Relation to Brave New World
One might imagine, what could truly constitute "A brave new world?" What parameters must that world fall within? What decisive mind is manning
the ship headed toward this utopia? Certainly, this world has seen innumerous attempts, heard the many strident voices, which barreled forth and
propelled society toward that image. One of those voices belonged to Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, and even, perhaps, a deity of this
brave new world.
Sigmund Freud was born May 6th, 1856, in Frieberg, Moravia to a textile dealer named Jacob Freud (Chiriac, Jean, "Sigmund Freud's Childhood").
He was one of eight children, five sisters and three brothers. The family lived in Frieberg until Sigmund was four years old, when the family then
moved to Vienna where Sigmund would remain for the vast majority of his life. By 1873, Freud would go on to study medicine at the University of
Vienna. Freud went get engaged in 1882, to a women who would bear him six children. The relationship has been largely considered and happy,
prosperous union (Thornton, Stephan).
In 1938, shortly after the Annexation of Austria, Freud's home in Vienna was raided by Nazis. Any of Freud's works written before May of 1933 were
burned for their flippant destigmatization of sexuality ("Sigmund Freud and the Holocaust"). With a minimal understanding of the who and the why of
Sigmund Freud, one can move in to comprehending the true girth of his discovery

Article one: The hidden aspects of International Negotiations
Nations have faced enormous increase in international negotiations from 20 years ago. In an increasingly globalized world, more businesses are trying
to go beyond the borders. It is obvious that negotiations preceded all cosmopolitan commercial transactions such as a product sale, formation of a joint
venture, merger or acquisitions of companies, or the licensing of the business to or from a foreign firm. Negotiations are unavoidable when an essential
outcome is impossible to achieve unilaterally without incurring undesirable political, authorized, or cost–effective consequences. Hence, global

Gibbs Reflective Cycle Analysis
Introduction
The overall objective of this essay is to choose an event and reflect on the dignity of the patient and how dignity was maintained throughout the event.
According to Kozier, Harvey and Morgan–Samuel (2011) dignity is treating an individual with respect, worth and value. The event I have chosen
involves a patient who we found unconscious and had a 'Do not attempt resuscitation' (DNAR) order in place so therefore, died. To reflect on my
chosen event, I will be using Gibbs Reflective Cycle (1998), I have chosen this cycle due to using this reflective cycle successfully in the past when
working in a care home to thoroughly reflect on my experiences. Reflection is important in healthcare because it helps us to learn from our past

I have learnt that even though a patient has died; communication, dignity, respect and advocacy is still fundamental. I have also learnt that last
offices are carried out differently depending on the individual's religion. Before this experience, I assumed that it would be carried out the same, I
now know to make sure to check the patient's notes and research their religious belief on last offices in the future. I have realised that the care given
to individuals of different religions may also differ during all aspects of care not only after death.
Action plan
In the future, I would approach this situation a little differently. I believe that after experiencing this event I now have the confidence and
experience to maintain a patient's dignity as best as I can during and after death. As I have now experienced a death and have participated in the
performance of last offices, If I was to see a dead individual again I would not be as scared as I was this time and would be able to take charge of the
last offices instead of shying away and leaving someone else to take the patient through the steps by communicating with the dead body.

Henry Hill, Lorraine Bracco as Karen Hill (Henry?s Wife), Robert Dc Niro as James Conway and Joe Pesci as Tommy DeVito.
The film begins with one of the most horrific and sickening moments to appear in a film, the murder of Billy Batts. At this point the viewer knows

The purpose of the narration is to smooth over the various jumps in the story. Throughout the film sub–stories change quickly, narration is the device
that covers the holes. Without narration the viewer would become lost very quickly, and may not fully understand events. At the beginning of the
film, Henry is shown as a young boy looking out of his bedroom window admiring the lifestyle of the local ?Wiseguys?. Here follows a very quick
succession of events that show how his character gets involved with these people and what he does to earn more respect from them and eventually be
accepted into their group. The narration explains why he admires them so much, ?They did whatever they wanted?, why he wants to part of their
group and why he does what he does, ?It was about being somebody in a neighbourhood of nobodies?.
Within the film there are four main characters; Henry Hill, Karen Hill, Tommy DeVito, and James Conway. Henry and Karen are the only characters
that are followed throughout the film. On the whole, character development is kept to a minimum. For instance, many characters are introduced to the
viewer during a walkthrough steadicam shot of a bar. Most of these characters will be seen later on in the film, but will only in the background of
various scenes. The viewer may recognise these characters but they still know no more about them. Even with the main characters there are large gaps

2000 Word Essay on Being a Team Leader
Non Commissioned officers are a vital part of the United States Army which is why they are often referred to as the "back bone of the Army". Non
Commissioned officers play several key roles in the army, everywhere from the lowest Sergeant or Corporal as a team leader to the First Sergeant
working as advisory and counter part to a Captain in charge of a Company, to a Command Sergeant Major, responsible for anything fro a battalion to

Making the right choice and acting on it when faced with an ethical question can be difficult. Sometimes, it means standing your ground and
telling your supervisor you think their wrong. If you think an order is illegal, first be sure that you understand both the details of the order and its
original intent. With all these things in consideration it is clear that being a non commissioned officer is a job that holds absolute importance in
the army. In a field environment the job of a non commissioned officer is to lead their soldiers into combat and issue orders commanding their
team, squad or platoon. A team leader in specific is tasked with possibly the most difficult job in the army. They deal with their small group of

most junior position as a non commission officer it holds the most difficult task which does a lot to break in a new non commissioned officer. If a
team leader fails to do his job its will usually hold the biggest consequences. If a team leader fails his soldiers in a combat situation soldiers can be
wounded or killed. Although this is the most extreme outcome a team leader must work hard to learn his position and embrace his duties as quickly
and responsibly as possible. Being a team leader in a garrison environment is also very difficult but also a very good

A Study Of Terrorism And The Terrorist
The study of terrorism and the terrorist is not something belonging to any particular discipline. What does forensic psychology have to offer?
In the present political climate terrorism is a grave and growing concern for the national security of many countries. While it is important to
acknowledge that acts of terrorism date back through centuries of recorded history, it is nevertheless apparent that today, the threat of terrorism is as
dire, if not more so, than ever before. Terrorism dominates public and media attention compared to other types of violent offending (Ruby, 2002b), and
9/11 and the 7/7 London bombings have demonstrated the devastating capabilities attributable to successful terrorist acts. Thus, understanding terrorism
and 'what makes someone a terrorist', with a view to predicting terrorist attacks and behaviour, is a concern shared by many domains, including
forensic psychology (FP), criminology and political science. While Borum (2004) notes that FP does not provide the sole analytic framework with
which to understand terrorism, it is important to recognise the contributions FP has made, and is still making, to the subject. Therefore, the present
essay will discuss what FP has to offer in the study of terrorism with reference to past, present and potential directions for future research.
Contributions of Forensic Psychology
FP focuses on terrorism from an individual perspective. As Taylor points out: "individuals commit terrorist acts" (Taylor, 2012,

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder ( Fasd )

  • 1. Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder ( Fasd ) Introduction Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) is a general term consist disabilities when a mother consumes alcohol during her pregnancy. The medical prognosis of FASD includes: Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), Partial Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (PFAS), Alcohol Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder (ARND) and Alcohol Related Birth Defects (ARBD). Moreover, teratogen is a harmful agent that can interrupt the development of an embryo. For instance, alcohol is teratogen. As per Health Canada, FASD is a leading cause of a completely avertable developmentaldisability but it still affects approximately one percent of the Canadian population (Batshaw, Roizen & Lotrecchiano, 2012). However, there are many alterations to the disabilities and the development of sub–groups. Thereby, the term FASD is introduced to ensure the incidence of all the characteristics (mental, behavioral and physical) associated with prenatal exposure to alcohol. The exposure to alcohol during the pregnancy places the infant at the risk of developing problems such as abnormal appearance, low body weight, poor coordination, low intelligence, facial abnormalities, neuropsychological deficits, central nervous system deficits and growth delays (Riley, Infante & Warren, 2011). As the paper progress, we will discuss the characteristics, causes and the epidemiology of FASD. In addition we will all focus on the mental disorder such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) associated with FASD and a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. THE AMERICAN DREAM 2000 WORD ESSAY Nathan Houghton pd 3 The Declaration of Independence grants the pursuit of happiness to all Americans. While at that time it might have been just for rich white men, the American dream has been spread out to all Americans no matter what race, religion, sexual orientation, or wealth. The United States is a huge melting pot of different races and ethnicity and if you work hard enough you can become successful. Although that path may not be easy, the outcome will be great. The American Dream means equal opportunity for all Americans and it is indeed still alive. The American dream consists of the ability to come from a foreign country and be able to become a successful business man or woman. In...show more content... As long as you try your best you will have some success in your life. But if you do not, the dream will not be achievable. As Kevin Bacon once said, "There 's this American dream to put enough away that you can golf and build a birdhouse or just be in a Barcalounger watching football all day. I 'll never be that guy. And I 'm not really sure the people who have that are all that happy. Our desires as a man are to work, plow ahead, and overcome conflict". What he means when he says this quote is that you can do and become whatever you want in America and nobody can say a thing about it. It is very likely that you or your ancestors came from another country to start a new life or to escape hardships in their country. When people immigrate from one country to another they work an insane amount of hours to try and make it in life in their new home. But if you don't work hard enough you will not make it and it will be tough to become successful in your life. The American Dream consists of hard work and "elbow grease" as the clichГ© goes. But it is true and relevant when it comes to this subject. But no matter how much it is used it works and helps people achieve their dreams.Having a partner to help fund you can be very helpful, especially if you need a kick–start if you're making a new company. Likewise, people will always make excuses for failing because they don't want to admit that it was themselves who caused them to fail. • 3. Social Issues Of A Materialistic Society 1.We as individuals live in a very materialistic society. Some individuals buy material items because they think having material possessions gives them a higher social status and makes them happier. In most cases, when individuals have materialistic items, they have a tendency to redirect their focus to getting more stuff. Sadly, for some, the more they have the more they want to get. Possessions do not equalhappiness! In fact, there are a lot of social issues in a capitalistic society that go hand–and–hand with a materialistic lifestyle. According to the research journal, Personality and Individual Differences, "materialistic people find it more difficult to be grateful for what they have, which causes them to become miserable". For example, those who are very materialistic have higher rates for suicide, nervous breakdowns, or mental illnesses compared to a person who is not (1). Unfortunately, some individuals go through life with the mindset "without materialistic items I cannot thrive and become who I really am". Ultimately, while incorporating Gerald M. Nosich's elements for critical thinking I will be using a wide variety of examples and research to explain the definition of happiness, why everyone should believe that possessions cannot supply one with long–term happiness, and the secret for one to experience everlasting happiness. 2.Happiness... For many, it is simply being able to live freely and do whatever, whenever without having any restrictions that may Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. 5000 word essay 2000 Word Essay on Disrespecting an NCO by SPC BUTLER On November 21, I received a negative counseling for disrespecting a Non Commissioned Officer, though it was warranted by a series of events I didn't agree with I should have found a more appropriate way to voice my concerns. The online dictionary defines disrespect as an expression of lack of respect and a fashion that is generally disrespectful and contemptuous. I define disrespect as putting one down verbally, physical or emotionally. In this essay I will be talking about the research I did on article 88 and 91 of the uniformed code of military justice. Disrespect and insubordination in the army affects the ability of a unit to maintain discipline and order. The uniformed code of...show more content... It could also cause the soldier not to have a chance to exceed or grow as a soldier or a leader such as go to schools, warrior leaders' course, or even the promotion board. Disrespect also could be viewed by jumping the chain of command or the NCO support channel. Non Commissioned Officers are literately the backbone of the military even as it says in the NCO creed. The NCOs do countless jobs that are not totally acknowledged. Sometimes non commissioned officers help soldiers in many ways and sometimes do not require acknowledgement except to see the soldier strive to success. The NCO corps has to demand respect from everyone lower then them. Because they are the leaders they have to increase moral and to motivate soldiers to do their best. We all have a job to do and we as soldiers we have to know what we are doing and willing to do it. So the moral of the soldiers is important otherwise nothing would ever get done. And with that the NCO also motivates the soldiers. And motivation drives the soldier to do their best and get the task, job, mission done proficiently and in a timely manner. No matter the circumstance, whether you agree or not, you are not allowed to talk back, physically fight back, or question judgment. The importance of maintaining correct protocol and military bearing on and off duty is essential because to show disrespect to an NCO when in uniform could cause disrespect among civilians about the military in general. • 5. Reaction Paper On Abortion Part One My topic is abortion and what makes this topic interesting to me is my aunt, who is a gynecologist. She has a lot of patients and I was interested in Athena's life a lot. Athena comes from a close and strict family, they did not want their daughter to date or even talk to someone who does not want to marry her. She was only 18 when started talking to a guy named Ali. Ali had psychological problems and never said anything to Athena about it. She didn't know that she is falling in his trap by going to his house. When she woke up the day after she was on the floor with lots of bruises and cuts on her hands her body was hurting so much and there was blood everywhere; she could not remember anything because of the drugs he gave her that night. She went to the doctor and they confirmed that Ali raped her. After 2 months, she found out that she was pregnant. She could not say anything to her parents because they would kick her out of the house and never talk to her again. The only logical thought was abortion because she did not want to have a baby from a guy who raped her. She had an abortion when she was only 18 years old and never said anything to her parents about it. I felt really bad for Athena because abortion is one of the hardest decisions that a woman can make. I personally do not wish to be in this position, though I do think women should have a choice. Abortion is one of the biggest controversies going on all around the world and currently women all around Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Results include IT application needs changes in organizational and management structure as well as organizations are required to go through necessary transformation to compete globally. That findings lead to the MIT90S framework. Another study looked at the IT's responsiveness to business strategy creation (Tan, 1995). Here, the responsiveness is defined as the degree to which information technology is exactly considered in the formulation of business strategy. Firstly, the company develop a business strategy. Secondly, the company choose an appropriate structure. Thirdly, the firm design the management process. Finally, there is a need to align Information Technology (IT) with the business strategy. IT here is treated as a 'back –office support' (Allen & Morton, 1994). In addition, employees will be trained and their functions are designed specifically. As a result, the most important issue in this model is to determine the strategic vision and to handle the problems of implementation. According to figure2, in contrast, in the MIT strategic model of change and fit, an "emergent perspective", the components are more interrelated. The strategic fit attempts to align the organization with its external environment and to manage the internal resources to meet that alignment (Miyamoto, Kudo and Iizuka, 2014). In terms of strategic change, the business strategy is being shaped gradually and is an outcome instead of a driver. In terms of IT, IT becomes an integrated part of a firm's key business process. To be more specific, the story begins with the increasing and tactical adoption of technology in order to catch up with the performance of the competitors. Then, it becomes the driver of changes in individual roles, management process and corporate structure, which constituting Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Aristotle on Justice In this paper, I shall address two central contemporary criticisms of Aristotle's conception of justice. These criticisms of Aristotle's account of specific justice have focused on two central problems. First, Aristotle's insistence that all specifically unjust actions are motivated by pleonexia Pleonexia can be understood as the desire to have more of some socially availablegood, and is usually translated as greed or acquisitiveness. Close . Second, Aristotle does not identify a deficient vice with respect to justice. This violates his "golden mean" doctrine with respect to virtue. Without the identification of the deficient vice with respect to justice, then justice must not be a virtue of character. Due to considerations of...show more content... Defending one's home, fighting against invaders, when they are attacking the state to preserve one's family and friends is an example of the application of these qualifications on the virtue of courage. Considering how this action affects the overall well being of others, we are considering how the action is generally just. In sum, the distinction being made here is that the same virtue can be seen all by itself, as a part of the character of an individual only, and where the virtue is in relation to another person in a particular political community, and its effects on the well being of others in that political community. We have the same state considered from different perspectives. Aristotle says that justice is spoken of in two ways: as lawful and as fair. I will discuss general justice first in order to distinguish it from specific justice. Generally speaking, general justice is concerned with the common good of the community. In the Politics, Aristotle refers to justice as being a communal virtue. "Similarly, then, we shall say that virtue has a just claim in the dispute, since [general] justice, we say, is a communal (koinoniken) virtue, which all the other virtues necessarily accompany" (Pol.1283a36–39 trans. Reeve [modified]). This communal or relational aspect of justice shows up both in general and specific justice. I shall discuss the communal or Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The Era Of The Cold War Essay The era of the Cold War was a tumultuous time where conflicts arose in many aspects of American culture and international wars waged to prevent the spread of Soviet influence over other nations. U.S. foreign policy would see much intervention, where nations were used to engage in proxy wars. The United States' domestic politics would see much panic among congress and many senators, where the looming fears of Soviet influence and communist spies altered how politicians and lawmakers conducted themselves and how laws were passed. The new type of warfare launched in the twentieth–century had a great impact on the modern world that went beyond the immediate cost of casualties.2 The psychological, social, economic and technological effect these wars had on those who survived earned this type of conflict a new name: total war, which...show more content... • 11. My Love Story When I was younger I would make conversation with any breathing personage. As I grew older just the thought of having to interact with someone I did not know was mortifying. Therefore, signing up for a full week of a Young Life camp was one of the hardest decisions I have made. Trying to back out the night before, I wandered on to the bus at six in the morning. A forty–five minute drive and forced to scarf up my cell phone. Arriving at the camp we were greeted by a thousand smiling faces. Settling into our cabin, I was a little more relaxed until I heard the bell. Curiously, we walked out onto the porch to see everyone running. Our cabin quickly followed into the chaos. I Pushed and scraped my way through everyone, and made my way to the front row of the club room. I thought to myself how idiotic it was, I was already a Christian. What else is there to learn about God? Little did I know. That night was the first time I had been introduced to God on a deeper level. I saw him as intimidating and loving instead of a fictional character in my head. I felt comfort and at peace for once. July twenty–fourth, two thousand and sixteen is the day that changed my life forever. I heard the greatest love story of all time. Grid–like panels on top of a house sparked his curiosity. After returning to the hotel he was staying at, Victor asked to use the business center. He browsed the internet as he tried to figure out what the curious panels were. He eventually came across Solar panels in his search and he began to take an interest in the subject. Victor soon found out why he had never seen the solar panels before; they were used minimally in today's world and were a small percentage of all energy sources in the United States. Victor didn't know why this was, because in his quick research, he learned there were many benefits to solar energy compared to how little of disadvantages there were. He decided he would look into solar energy more when he got home and consider obtaining a solar energy system. He figured from the advantages, solar energy will start to become more present. Solar energy is increasingly emerging as an energy source that can compete with fossil fuels. Solar cells, or Photovoltaic (PV) cells, are cells that convert sunlight into energy for everyday needs. PV cells can be used for electricity in homes or businesses, heating water for a home, or even heating a house directly through large windows and dark furniture, floors, and walls. The Bell Telephone company discovered the photovoltaic effect ("Solar Photovoltaic"). Get more content on HelpWriting.net

What decisive mind is manning the ship headed toward this utopia? Certainly, this world has seen innumerous attempts, heard the many strident voices, which barreled forth and propelled society toward that image. One of those voices belonged to Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, and even, perhaps, a deity of this brave new world. Sigmund Freud was born May 6th, 1856, in Frieberg, Moravia to a textile dealer named Jacob Freud (Chiriac, Jean, "Sigmund Freud's Childhood"). He was one of eight children, five sisters and three brothers. Gibbs Reflective Cycle Analysis Introduction The overall objective of this essay is to choose an event and reflect on the dignity of the patient and how dignity was maintained throughout the event. According to Kozier, Harvey and Morgan–Samuel (2011) dignity is treating an individual with respect, worth and value. The event I have chosen involves a patient who we found unconscious and had a 'Do not attempt resuscitation' (DNAR) order in place so therefore, died. To reflect on my chosen event, I will be using Gibbs Reflective Cycle (1998), I have chosen this cycle due to using this reflective cycle successfully in the past when working in a care home to thoroughly reflect on my experiences. I have realised that the care given to individuals of different religions may also differ during all aspects of care not only after death. Action plan In the future, I would approach this situation a little differently. I believe that after experiencing this event I now have the confidence and experience to maintain a patient's dignity as best as I can during and after death. As I have now experienced a death and have participated in the performance of last offices, If I was to see a dead individual again I would not be as scared as I was this time and would be able to take charge of the last offices instead of shying away and leaving someone else to take the patient through the steps by communicating with the dead body.
