SimFWD provides to customers integrated design and engineering services
in Maritime / Offshore and Shipbuilding projects of different types and size.

service and continues through life-cycle service as maintenance, repair and
conversion.
We have the ability to address all steps of the Ship Design and
engineering processes with high quality. Concept Design is the starting
point of the project where we define main characteristics with the aid of
state of the art software and statistical databases. Basic Design is then
developed according to national and international rules and verified by
advanced engineering analyses. Detailed Design comprises all engineering
and construction documentation for the Shipyard. Finally, Engineering
Management services include supervision, management, budgeting and
operational works of the project assuring quality and schedule.

As FEM consultants, we also offer a wide range of services in the field of
Computer Aided Engineering (CAE). In a recent webinar on 26th October
2016, SimFWD Engineering Services, Greece presented Computational
Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations of a modern Ropax bare-hull-form
resistance. The main goal is to assess the resistance reduction in the most
efficient and reliable engineering CFD workflow. The work performed is a
meticulous examination of the mechanics of running NUMECA
FINE™/Marine simulations in an Uber Cloud software container and to
assess the performance of the cloud compared to resources currently used
by SIMFWD. The benchmark is analyzed on local hardware, on virtual
instances in the cloud, and on the bare-metal / container cloud solution
offered by cloud provider CPU 24/7 and UberCloud.
The webinar put forward a process that ensures seamless, quick, easy-to-use workflow
in your ship design providing high performance & accurate output and a considerable
reduction of engineering and development time and cost.
SimFWD also has several years of experience using LS-DYNA for Static and Dynamic
Analyses with special expertise in the field of Passenger Safety in Crash Simulations.
