Philadelphia has a segregated population with different racial groups concentrated in distinct areas of the city. Racial segregation raises issues about equality of access and opportunity for children of different races who are separated into different neighborhoods across the city. While people are different, addressing problems caused by segregation could help bring the community together in a more equitable way.
