This two-page document provides a guide for traditional and federal resume formats. A traditional resume is one to two pages and is scanned for keywords to match experiences to job descriptions, while a federal resume uses a structured USA Jobs builder and is reviewed in detail by human resources. The federal resume includes more personal information like address and security clearance and displays experiences with details on responsibilities, accomplishments, supervisor contact information, dates of employment and hours/salary. Sections typically included are objective, education, experience, and other optional sections to highlight qualifications.
