This document discusses the development of an automated loom machine by Hayleys Fibre PLC. It aims to reduce labor costs and increase efficiency over traditional hand-woven methods. The project team analyzed the technical, economic, legal, operational, schedule, and organizational feasibility of developing an automated loom machine. Over four weeks, the team designed, built, and tested a prototype machine. Their analysis found that the machine could save on labor costs and increase production efficiency. The market research also suggested there is demand for more efficient weaving technology.
