3. Fear conditioning:
Is when someone is taught to be scared of something.
Consequence:
Whatever we are taught at a young age to be afraid of we will more than likely be
scared of it forever.
4. Little albert
Was an experiment done by some crazy cool guys. Little albert was once not scared
of rats and could just hang out with them all day, until one day he was taught they
would harm him. After he was taught they were not his friends albert would cry
every time he saw a rat.
This just goes to show everyone that we have to be taught to be scared of basically
everything.

6. This play is based during world war II on a south pacific island .
There is two love stories happening during the movie .
One of the main characters falls in love with a man on the same island. The nurse
finds out the man she has fallen in love with has had a previous relationship with a
native and had children together.
This brings all her background prejudice to the for front.
7. The other part of the love story is somewhat similar. A man on the island falls in
love with a Tonkinese girl and faces some of the same prejudice that the other
main character deals with.
The man that falls in love with a Tonkinese girl goes out to fight and he ends up
dying . This teaches the first main character that race shouldn’t matter and that
she needs to love with out any restrictions . ( made me think of the song “ it’s a
love with out end amen”)
8. During the play there is a song by the name of Carefully Taught .
This song talks about how people are taught to dislike certain things in life .
Song :
“You’ve got to be taught to hate and fear, You’ve got to be taught from year to year,
Its got to be drummed in your dear little ear you’ve got to be carefully taught.
You’ve got to be taught to be afraid of people who's eyes are oddly made and peoples
who's skin is a different shade, you’ve got to be carefully taught. You’ve got to be
taught before its to late before you are six or seven or eight, to hate all the people
your relatives hate . You’ve got to be carefully taught”
9. In this song learning to hate happens very early in life, before you have a chance
to intermingle with many others. which means your family and relatives is
determined to how you relate to other people.
Fear and hatred has to be reinforced over and over again. You don’t just encounter
something once and automatically hate it.
10. At least two of the things that we are taught to fear are people of different race
and people who do not look like us.
This is was has happened to many people in todays world and is why we have fear
of each other and what may happen.
We cant tell the difference between white blood and black blood. So there is truly
no reason to be scared of one another just because we were taught that at a young
age .
We should be teaching our families to love and not fear.
