Which events does Chick-fil-A sponsor on a national level?
Chick-fil-A corporate supports numerous events and programs that reflect the
company’s core values. These events and programs are as follows:
Chick-fil-A Bowl Game – The second longest bowl after the Rose Bowl. Chick-
fil-A Bowl game is the longest-running rivalry between the ACC and SEC for
college football. The game raises millions of dollars for charities each year.
Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge – The Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge is a celebrity golf
outing held each April at Reynolds Plantation Resort outside of Atlanta.
$520,000 is given to scholarships and any other proceeds are donated to the
Chick-fil-A’s Winshape Homes every year.
Chick-fil-A Leadercast – Chick-fil-A Leadercast is a one-day leadership
development experience. The event is broadcasted live from Atlanta to
thousands of venues. Speakers such as Jack Welch, Coach Krzyewski,
Condolezza Rice, and many more.
Chick-fil-A Kick Off Game – The Chick-fil-A Kick Off Game is a pregame before
Chick-fil-A Bowl Game begins. Chick-fil-A teamed up with ESPN to kick-start
the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Winshape Foundation – The Winshape Foundation was founded by the CEO
Truett Cathy himself. Cathy believes that leadership is a valuable trait to
succeed in this country. The Winshape Foundation has been creating leaders
from kindergarten to high school since 1984. The foundation supports long-
term foster care program, summer camps for more than 1,900 children, a
scholarship program with Berry College, marriage enrichment retreats, and
many other programs.

Chick-fil-A stands are independently operated making event sponsorships the
operator’s decision. Visit your local Chick-fil-A restaurant to give the operator
information about your event.
What is Winshape? Where can I find more information?
The WinShape Foundation started in 1982 by the Chick-fil-A founder S.Truett Cathy
and his wife Jeanette. The foundations goal is to bring families and communities
closer together and to God through various activities. The Winshape Foundation
services extend to kindergarten to college students, families, couples, business
leaders, and people in need around the world.
Does Chick-fil-A have an environmental policy? If they do, what is it?
Chick-fil-A does have a very extensive environmental policy because this
establishment is working towards becoming greener everyday. For now our efforts

2. Special blue garbage recycling bins are provided specifically for foam cups in
over 100 locations. Chick-fil-A plans to have blue recycling bins in every
location by the end of 2014.
Tray liners, napkins, and kids meal bags are 100% recycled material.

The Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design (LEED) gave a gold certificate to a Chick-fil-A in Texas in 2011 for
meeting their standards. This was the first Chick-fil-A ever to receive this
awardand now all new establishments are modeled after the original. All
pre-existing restaurants are slowly being updated to fit the standard of the
Chick-fil-A in Texas.
Is Chick-fil-A going to try and use another cup?
After numerous studies Chick-fil-A has discovered that the foam cup does less
damage then the alternative.
Over 100 locations provide customers with blue recycling bins for the cups.
Corporate is working towards having 400 locations by the end of 2013 and all
locations by the end of 2014 recycle the foam cups.
