• Is a way one chooses on how to avoid making
or getting pregnant.

community issue although it directly or
indirectly affects the community.

4. What are the difference forms &
Methods of family planning?
• When we talk about the forms, we mean the;
natural and artificial forms.
• And the methods here we talk about the different
ways the forms are administered to perfectly work.
These include;
– Moon beds, breast feeding, withdraw, etc. natural
– Use of; condoms, tablets/ pills, injector plans, jerry, etc

5. Who is qualified to use family
planning?
• Here we talk on both age and sex. Therefore,
cornering the age, all sexually active people no
matter the financial status, education status or
any other medical factor like HIV status qualifies
for family planning.
• The issue of sex is equally sensitive. Depending
on the method to be used, then the sex varies.
But both men and women equally can be
administered to family planning.
• Note;
For couples it is better to first discus the
point before administration of family planning.

6. When should one use family planning?
• The point of when is critically important. But due
the fact that some of the youths never even plan
when to have sex and with whom, anytime one
thinks of being exposed to sex i.e. willingly or
unwillingly, family planning should be used. This
may seem to hard to do but being ever prepared is
not a bad deal and culture to adopt. Hungering out
with condoms or being administered to an injection
may save you from that unwanted pregnancy.

7. Where can one get help concerning
family planning?
• Today in Uganda Kampala in particular, almost
every satisfied clinic can off one or more family
planning help. But for the youth, Naguru teenage
Center plus its other youth corners in KCCA
hospitals offer the most and youth friendly family
planning services.
• You can visit health centers, hospitals and some
creditable drug shops for any family planning
related information.
• Youth counselors are equally important to
providing the same information.

8. The aftermath/ out comes of family
planning may include?
• If used well, family planning is generally good to
all users. Therefore, despite some of the negative
outcomes of family planning, it is highly
recommended to use one of your choice.
Meaning fit for you and the partner.
• All the negative outcomes of family planning
should be reported to the health center as quick
as possible. This is because some if not
responded to may lead to future complications.
