We are all subject to emotions or feelings. Allowing our emotions or our feelings to guide us in religion can result in serious eternal consequences contrary to what our feelings intended. God gives us guidance in the Bible concerning the right place for our feelings in serving Him. This lesson deals with Emotion in Religion
In this first lesson we examine the spirit that every Christian must have. To show things that commonly weigh us down in our spiritual walk. Both audio and slides can be found together at www.cmcoc.org
Sermon by: Brian Birdow
This lesson encourages us to have the Spirit of a Christian through examples that the Bible provides. It instructs us on the type of Spirit that a Christian should show in their every day lives and reassures us of the love of God, even when things are going bad.
Kindness challenge, The spouse is unilaterally happy/dangerous/apostate, get...franktsao4
Recently, I heard some radio programs mentioning the challenge of kindness, or how to make spouses happy unilaterally, or how to promote family harmony in remarried families. These were originally based on goodwill as a start, but they all have one common thing. It is to lift a certain person or a certain group of people aloft and take their happiness, anger, sorrow, and joy as the highest goal. On the surface, it seems achievable, but if you look at it from the perspective of the Bible, this is almost impossible to reach. Because this world is not controlled by man, but God is the boss. So if man’s effort does not conform to God’s will, it will become a waste of energy.
Knowledge makes people arrogant. This concept seems to be completely different from the world’s thinking. If I learn more, then I should know the breadth of knowledge. I should be like a learned person, and I should be more humble. But why the Bible said so, if this is a truth that violates the rules of the world. In this chapter, let us carefully look for the truth of the Bible for detail analysis.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

4. FAITH ON CAMPUS
(SIX THINGS)
• 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the
branch cannot bear fruit by itself,
unless it abides in the vine, neither can
you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the
vine; you are the branches. Whoever
abides in me and I in him, he it is
that bears much fruit, for apart from
me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5
RY Nott Meeting / Faith in God by P. 'Labi / 23-10-2019
5. NO COMPROMISE
• Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For
what partnership has righteousness with
lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with
darkness? 2 Corin. 6:14
• So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to
do it, for him it is sin. James 4:17
• You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly
Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48
• Psalm 1: 1-3
RY Nott Meeting / Faith in God by P. 'Labi / 23-10-2019
6. GUARD YOUR HEART
• And I will give you a new heart, and a new
spirit I will put within you. And I will remove
the heart of stone from your flesh and give you
a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26
• 21 For from within, out of the heart of men,
proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications,
murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness,
deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy,
pride, foolishness: Mark 7:21
• Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it
flow the springs of life. Proverbs 4:23
RY Nott Meeting / Faith in God by P. 'Labi / 23-10-2019
7. COMMUNICATION
• And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you;
seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be
opened to you. Luke 11:9
• Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell
you great and hidden things that you have not
known. Jeremiah 33:3
• Watch and pray that you may not enter into
temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the
flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41
• Matthew 21:22
RY Nott Meeting / Faith in God by P. 'Labi / 23-10-2019
8. THE WORD OF GOD
• For the word of God is living and active, sharper
than any two-edged sword, piercing to the
division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of
marrow, and discerning the thoughts and
intentions of the heart. Heb 4:12
• 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I
might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:11
• Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my
path. Psalm 119:105
RY Nott Meeting / Faith in God by P. 'Labi / 23-10-2019
9. BE LED BY THE SPIRIT
• But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the
Father will send in my name, he will teach you
all things and bring to your remembrance all
that I have said to you. John 14:26
• Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For
we do not know what to pray for as we ought,
but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with
groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26
• 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall
not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16
RY Nott Meeting / Faith in God by P. 'Labi / 23-10-2019
10. BE ALERT
• Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary
the devil prowls around like a roaring lion,
seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
• Watch and pray that you may not enter into
temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the
flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41
• ….to that end keep alert with all perseverance,
making supplication for all the saints, Eph

by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and
your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under

pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness
to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11

reproof is stupid. Proverbs 12:1
