To Whom It May Concern:
I write in highest recommendation of Ms. Jessica Gilbert-Fagley. As principal of Wilson
Middle School, I have been amazed at the wonderful work she has done for us. Ms.
Fagley is creative, dedicated, hard-working, organized, and a superior manager.
Ms. Fagley joined us this semester as our After Schools Program Coordinator for our
YMCA programs. The programs were in need of assistance – the kids were marginally
supervised, there was no structured curriculum that I could see, and paperwork was
behind. Ms. Fagley arrived and we saw immediate results. She instilled discipline and
structure for the students and the staff, she pulled the snack program into compliance,
brought paperwork up to date, and most importantly established a programmatic
curriculum that was based around leadership skills, academics, confidence-building,
and planning for the future.
Within a few days of her arrival at our school, Ms. Fagley took charge of the YMCA
room, which had been haphazardly cared for. She transformed it: materials were
organized, cabinets and shelves were neat, the environment was rearranged for
maximum efficiency, and it was clean!
In addition, while it is a fact that Ms. Fagley is petite, pleasant, and polite, she is no
push-over. She manages not only her age-twenties-something male staff with finesse,
but she is in charge of the forty mid-schoolers in the program – which if you’ve ever
worked with youth that age, you will recognize as no simple task.
In summary, Ms. Fagley possesses the knowledge, managerial skills, and “people skills”
to be successful in almost any endeavor. What she does not know for your position, she
will quickly learn. Do no hesitate to phone me to further discuss Ms. Fagley’s many
strengths.
Sincerely,
Ann Piper, Principal
