4. Flood
For this task I have chosen the word flood as I
believe it will be easy to illustrate. I have repeatedly
used the word flood getting higher up the page to
demonstrate the word meaning. You can tell by the
design I have not used any guides as I wanted to
experiment and be able to place the text freely.
Untidy
Secondly I have used the word untidy to
demonstrate the meaning through typography. This
time I have scattered the letters on the page with
different fonts and angles. this gives a clear and
straight forward explanation of the word. Unlike the
first design I placed the text on a horizontal line but
with the word untidy I thought it would be a good
way to be creative by using a range of sizes, fonts
and angles.
Bounce
With the word bounce I have kept the same font, but
have selected a style which is round. This indicated
that round objects are more likely to bounce as they
have no angles. With this experiment I have
illustrated the word by using the letters at different
levels, some that are low and some that are high
which demonstrates bounce in a clear way.
Balance
Finally I have chosen the word balance and used a font
that was basic and had no style. I have used the word
vertically and the word horizontally placed on top but have
angled it to one side to illustrate the word balancing within
itself.
