FACTS ARTICLE XVII of the 2012 DSI Constitution states “…no part shall be amended or annulled except by written ballot sent to all Members.” ARTICLE VII of the DSI Constitution states that the Board includes one representative elected by each Regional Subdivision and an equal number of Vice-Presidents elected at Large. The 2012 DSI Constitution includes 9 regionally elected Vice-Presidents and 9 At Large Vice-Presidents elected by the entire DSI membership. In December 2012-January 2013, the Decision Sciences Institute, Inc. (DSI) held electronic balloting to amend the 2012 DSI Constitution without amending ARTICLE XVII to permit electronic balloting and without placing ARTICLE VII on the ballot. The balloting was conducted by sending e-mails to Members on the DSI e-mail list in which Members were asked to follow a link to a “Survey Monkey” ballot. After the ballots were cast, Survey Monkey closed automatically without giving Members a way to preserve copies of their ballots or access copies of their ballots in electronic form. Members are required to give their physical addresses but not their electronic addresses for privacy reasons. There are18 fewer Members on the DSI e-mail list than on the official DSI written membership list and several Members reported that they did not get to vote because their junk mail filters sent their electronic ballots to trash. About 500 of about 1,400 members cast ballots, but there is no information on how many members actually received ballots. Citing the 2013 balloting results as its authority, the DSI Board removed nine duly elected Vice Presidents from the Board before they had an opportunity to serve the second year of their two-year terms of office. Over the past 40 years the Regional Subdivisions have served the professional development needs of about 68,000 faculty members in their annual meetings while the Institute has served the professional development needs of about 44,000 Members in its Annual Meetings. Unfortunately, the unilateral actions taken by the DSI Board have caused many Members to resign and the Regional Subdivisions to reconsider their allegiance to the Institute. Members have called you in as a consultant and you are now being asked to determine the legality of the balloting and the ethical issues raised by the Board’s actions. The parliamentary elections in 2016 indicated that one of the most problematic issues was related to determination of which party was entitled to the supplemental funding of GEL 300,000 for creating a parliamentary faction. Due to lack of clarity, the CEC provided wrong interpretation of applicable regulations and as a result, Industry Will Save Georgia received GEL 300,000 while it failed to pass the electoral threshold of 3%, received only 0.78% of votes and was able to secure only a single majoritarian seat in parliament.1 In addition, even if such ambiguity didn’t exist we believe that the principle of providing funding to a party for creating a faction is inherently wrong. Creating a parliamentary faction should not be viewed as an additional accomplishment of a party, as this is automatically related to the party’s entry into Parliament and therefore, a party should not be receiving an additional funding for creating a faction. The funding has nothing to do with compensation of faction expenses as these expenses are already covered by the parliamentary budget.

He consumes several beers after work during the week “to maintain.” He has also been using methamphetamines, specifically “crystal meth” several times weekly. Anthony’s girlfriend ended their relationship as a result of his increasing substance use and ongoing difficulties. Anthony feels depressed and anxious about his current life situation, especially now that he realizes that he has no job and may be homeless because of his substance use. He is also feeling down about the loss of his relationship. He researched a few outpatient treatment programs to help him stop using both alcohol and methamphetamines, but is ambivalent about entering treatment. Anthony has considered the need to stop using substances to improve his life and relationships with significant others, though fears that he will lose his friends and miss partying with them if he stops. The program serves a wide range of age groups (ages 4 through 17) and demographic backgrounds. Students should design a program that can appropriately address the needs of the various learners. This final project should include a program foundation, program description, research proposal, and self-reflection.
The final product represents an authentic demonstration of competency because it requires students to apply classic theory in order to compose an original program based on advanced developmental principles. The project is divided into
four milestones
, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in
Modules Three, Five, Seven, and Ten.

a narrative/essay format that will describe the main concept of the program (prevention, education, intervention) and if the program will focus on a specific topic (math, English, drugs, bullying, coping skills for stress or anxiety, peer pressure, or your choice). This foundational narrative will provide citations that link the program concept to at least two of the classical theories presented in this course (Montessori, Piaget, Vygotsky, Bandura, Bronfenbrenner). FACTS ARTICLE XVII of the 2012 DSI Constitution states “…no part shall be amended or annulled except by written ballot sent to all Members.” ARTICLE VII of the DSI Constitution states that the Board includes one representative elected by each Regional Subdivision and an equal number of Vice-Presidents elected at Large. The 2012 DSI Constitution includes 9 regionally elected Vice-Presidents and 9 At Large Vice-Presidents elected by the entire DSI membership. In December 2012-January 2013, the Decision Sciences Institute, Inc. (DSI) held electronic balloting to amend the 2012 DSI Constitution without amending ARTICLE XVII to permit electronic balloting and without placing ARTICLE VII on the ballot. The balloting was conducted by sending e-mails to Members on the DSI e-mail list in which Members were asked to follow a link to a “Survey Monkey” ballot. After the ballots were cast, Survey Monkey closed automatically without giving Members a way to preserve copies of their ballots or access copies of their ballots in electronic form. Members are required to give their physical addresses but not their electronic addresses for privacy reasons. There are18 fewer Members on the DSI e-mail list than on the official DSI written membership list and several Members reported that they did not get to vote because their junk mail filters sent their electronic ballots to trash. About 500 of about 1,400 members cast ballots, but there is no information on how many members actually received ballots. Citing the 2013 balloting results as its authority, the DSI Board removed nine duly elected Vice Presidents from the Board before they had an opportunity to serve the second year of their two-year terms of office. Over the past 40 years the Regional Subdivisions have served the professional development needs of about 68,000 faculty members in their annual meetings while the Institute has served

Unfortunately, the unilateral actions taken by the DSI Board have caused many Members to resign and the Regional Subdivisions to reconsider their allegiance to the Institute. Terms (a) The fiscal and tax year of the Institute is from July 1 through June 30. (b) The membership term is from July 1 through June 30. (c) The officer term is from April 1 through March 31. (d) The President shall serve for one year and automatically become Past President. (e) The President- Elect shall serve for one year and automatically become President. (f) The Secretary and Treasurer shall serve two- year staggered terms. (g) Vice Presidents shall serve two- year terms, with the terms of office of the Vice Presidents
- 3. elected by the Regional subdivisions staggered, and the terms of office of the Vice President elected at-large staggered. THE STATUTE OF FRAUDS. The Statute of Frauds requires that any contract for services that cannot possibly be completed within one year must be in writing to be enforceable.
