A fantastic, economic and profitable addition to any natural health related business or service with such a growing topic in today's fast pace world!
The document discusses the importance of electrical safety and preventing electrical hazards. It notes that electricity is ubiquitous but also dangerous, causing thousands of deaths annually. It outlines various electrical safety practices and controls that can help reduce risks, such as proper equipment installation, insulation, guarding of energized components, grounding, bonding, using GFCIs, overcurrent protection, and establishing safe work practices. Adopting these electrical safety measures and complying with relevant standards can improve occupational safety when working with electricity.
Unleashing the limitless possibilities of electricity in technological applications requires proper caution and care. Handling vast amounts of energy—in any form—comes with significant hazards. When energy is released in an undesired way, the results can be devastating. One only needs to consider some manifestations of unwanted energy release in nature such as lightning strikes or earthquakes, to realize that handling energy requires due care.
Fortunately, the manifestation of energy in the form of electricity can be controlled—and thus can be made safe—relatively easily. Since its discovery, numerous methods and systems have been developed for harnessing electricity. This has enabled the benefits of electricity in everyday use and avoided its hazards.
The first section presents the most important and common hazards associated with the use of electricity, along with some basic concepts on hazard, risk, and risk reduction.
The second section gives an overview of common and standard design solutions, with a focus on the safety aspects of the particular techniques cited.
This report summarizes research on occupational injuries from electrical shock and arc flash events. It reviews literature on electrical injuries in the workplace and their costs. It also analyzes trends in fatal and non-fatal electrical injuries between 1992-2013 using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Key findings include that the leading causes of fatal injuries were contact with overhead power lines and wiring/electrical components. The number of non-fatal injuries decreased between 2003-2010, especially in construction. The report discusses research into the causes of electrical injuries and reviews select OSHA investigations of workplace electrical incidents.

Introduction
The electrocution construction hazard is one of the four categories of hazards that have been identified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to be associated with almost 50% of accidents that are experienced on construction sites. According to OSHA, out of 50%, electrocution contributes to 8.6% of the total accidents. It is important to note that electrocution results when an individual is working at the construction site and is exposed to a lethal amount of electrical energy. Therefore, an electrical hazard may be referred to as a severe construction site hazard, which tends to expose workers to a danger that may be fatal (Gales, 2019). In other words, electrocution can be defined as death by electric shock, which is specifically caused by exposure to fatal amounts of electrical energy. It must be noted that electricity usually flows via wires as well as power lines that are usually referred to as conductors. These conductors create a path to the electricity flow or even completes a given circuit. When the human body comes into contact with such exposed electrical wires, the body tends to act as a conductor, leading to electrocution. Comment by Fuller, Barb A.: Citations for the statistics? Comment by Fuller, Barb A.: Where does AKOSH actually state this?
Common Causative Factors of Electrocution Hazard
Direct Worker Contact with an Energized Power Line
According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), of all the Americans who are exposed to electrocution hazards, almost 28% are as a result of direct worker contact with an energized power line. An energized power line has electricity flowing through it in the form of electrons. When a worker comes into contact with it, his or her body acts as a conductor. This causes the electric current to travel through the worker's body. This ends up causing electrocution since the flow of electric current through the human body ends up interfering with the normal electrical signals between the human brain as well as muscles, an action that possesses the potential of making the heart stop beating (Babaei, Jabbari, & Babaei, 2018). Comment by Fuller, Barb A.: Citation? Comment by Fuller, Barb A.: The issue with electrocution is not that it interferes with brain function and control. Where in the article from the Iranian Journal of HSE is this stated?
Direct Worker Contact with Energized Equipment
This is a factor that is the cause of 21% of all electrocution hazard victims, according to NIOSH. Just like being in contact with an energized power line, if a worker comes into contact with energized equipment, he or she has the possibility of being electrocuted. This especially happens when the equipment is not adequately earthed. Therefore in such a case, the electrons tend to flow through the worker's body to the ground. The document discusses electrocution hazards in construction. It identifies four main causes of electrocution: direct contact with energized power lines (28% of cases), direct contact with energized equipment (21%), contact between a boomed vehicle and power lines (18%), and contact with improperly installed or damaged equipment (17%). It provides recommendations to reduce risks, including maintaining a 10-foot distance from power lines, having qualified workers repair equipment, regularly inspecting wires, and turning off power before replacing damaged insulation. However, many of the citations provided do not directly support the claims and recommendations in the text.
An automatic system for detecting voltage leaks in houses to save people's l...nooriasukmaningtyas
This document summarizes an automatic system for detecting voltage leaks in houses to save lives. The system was designed using Arduino components like a voltage sensor, buzzer, display, and relay module. It works by continuously sensing voltage in water networks and walls every second. If a high voltage is detected, it sounds an alarm, cuts power to the house for 10 minutes, and displays the voltage. The system aims to warn homeowners and cut power in the event of unexpected electrical leaks from devices into water systems or walls, which can cause fires, injury or death. It was tested successfully and provided satisfactory results in detecting and responding to simulated voltage leaks.
This document discusses electromagnetic fields (EMF) and their impact on health. It begins with an introduction and overview of EMFs, their sources such as power lines and radio antennas, and how they are measured. It then addresses 13 common questions about EMFs through a question and answer format. The questions cover what an EMF is, its sources, its measurement, potential health effects, and concerns specifically regarding mobile phones and relay antennas. While some studies have found biological effects, no causal health effects have been proven. Children and pregnant women may be more vulnerable groups.

Study of Static Electricity Effect on Work StressIRJET Journal
This study examined the effects of static electricity on worker stress and efficiency. Workers in an engineering industry were divided into two groups - one wore normal clothes, the other wore antistatic clothes. Tests measured the electric field on workers' bodies and asked about health and stress. Results showed those wearing antistatic clothes experienced less fatigue, pain, and stress and had greater work efficiency, showing that dissipating static electricity improves worker health and performance. The study demonstrates that providing antistatic clothing and properly grounding workers reduces the negative impacts of static buildup.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.

Factors affecting the electrical safety in the 20 residential buildings in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City
1. Chapter 1
The Problem
Introduction
Background of the study
Electricity is essential to our lives. It is
through it we can utilize the things and/or
technologies we have right now. Most of our basic
needs literally uses electricity, just like our
cellphones, air-conditions, washing machines,
etc. Electricity helps our lives more comfortable
and efficient. The presence of electricity is
widely needed in our world today especially we
are facing this COVID-19 pandemic were our health
safety is at risk.
According to Bahman Zohuri (2016), our daily
routine of our lives rely heavily on the use of
electricity. From the time we wake up in the
2. morning until we hit the pillow at night. Almost
everything and every necessity we have revolves
and/or uses electricity.
Electricity is used in many ways such as
lighting, cooling, heating and it is use to power
or drive electrical equipment and machines.
Electricity helps to facilitate economic
development and it is a well-known fact that
electricity is essential to everyday life,
without it life will be boring both at home and
at the work place. Electricity passes more easily
through some materials than others.(Bakshi, and
Bakshi, 2009). That is why electrical safety must
be considered by the people since it is helpful.
But whether we like it or not, those who
gives relief in our lives, would also give
something dangerous in return if not properly
used and/checked like electricity. It can be a
cause of accidents like fire and worst, it can be
a cause of death.
3. Safety isn’t expensive, it’s priceless,
Jerry Smith (1986), this proves that no matter
what we do, our safety would always be our top
priority. All of our dreams, aims and goals in
life will not come true unless we put effort unto
it and above all, our wellness, our safety.
Statement of the problem
This research was conducted to identify the
factors affecting electrical safety in the 20
residential building in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro
City. Specifically, this study aims to determine
the following:
1. What are the factors affecting electrical
safety in 20 residential building of
Bulua, Cagayan De Oro City?
2. How do the factors affect electrical
safety in the 20 residential building of
Bulua Cagayan De Oro City?
4. 3. What is the extent of risk of the factors
of electrical safety to the 20 residential
building of Bulua, Cagayan De Oro City?
Hypothesis
There is no significant risk of the factors
of electrical safety to the 20 residential
building of Bulua, Cagayan De Oro City.
Conceptual framework
This study is anchored with the study of
Saba, T.M. et al (2014) entitled “The Level of
Awareness on Electrical Hazards and Safety
Measures among Residential Electricity User’s in
Minna Metropolis of Niger State, Nigeria” which
stated that the electrical safety of the
residential buildings must start with the
awareness of the electrical hazards and the
danger it can give to the electricity users.
According to New York Engineers (2020) in
their article entitled “Common Electrical Safety
5. Hazards in Homes and Businesses” they stated that
to ensure your building is a safe space at all
times, you must pay attention to all items
connected to the electric power and observe
electrical hazards like damage wiring, outdated
electrical panels, etc.
In the study of Sahbi Boubaker et al(2017)
entitled Assessment of Electrical Safety Beliefs
and Practices : A Case Study”, they found out
that the more aware of the electrical safety
practices the people are, the less accidents like
fires occur.
The factors affecting the electrical safety
in the 20 residential buildings in Bulua, Cagayan
De Oro City conceptual frame work is shown in
