Licenses and Info
The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), regulates flying and civilians using aircraft are required to follow the rules
and guidelines involved in the FAA. First and foremost, I would recommend you reading this before getting any training
to become a civilian pilot in Los Angeles, California. We have two licenses, which you would have to work up on by
attending trainings that are held every week or so. The first license anyone would get is a Recreational Flying License.
The Recreation Flying License allows you to fly any civilian type helicopters that are available. The second license is the
Advanced Flying License. The Advanced Flying License allows civilians to fly civilian class planes. If you have both of
these licenses, you are NOT allowed to fly military produced/owned aircraft. That is against the laws of the FAA to have
a military standardized aircraft in your possession as a civilian and to be flying it around without consent of the FAA.
The only people that are allowed to be flying military based aircraft are Air Show License holders, which will not have a
lot of people apart of. This conducts Licenses and Info.
Requirements
Requirements won’t be so very strict but we would like to keep this department mature and not full of griefers and people who
are un-educated of what an aircraft is capable of and how to use them.
1. You must have experience of flying either in GTA Online or other servers, we wouldn’t like people crashing.
2. You must be 15 or older to be apart of the FAA (IRL AGE) to ensure maturity through training and communication.
3. You must know the rules and regulations and what you are required to do when operating an aircraft.
4. You must have responsibility when operating an aircraft, and you will have consequences if any rules are broken.
5. You must know right from wrong when operating in the cockpit and what to do and not do.
Now that you know the requirements to be a pilot apart of the FAA, let’s get into the Rules and Regulations.
Rules and Regulations
1. When operating an aircraft, you MUST have your license with you at all times
2. When in a Helicopter, you MUST maintain an altitude of 70 or above while airborne.
3. When in a Plane, you MUST maintain an altitude of 120 or above while airborne.
4. Before taking off, you MUST go into the ATC Channel and log when you are taking off and landing.
5. Always keep your eyes in the sky to prevent mid-air crashes or a bird strike.
6. Know every gauge in the cockpit to ensure the safety of yourself and passengers while flying.
7. Make sure you know the NATO Alphabet when communicating with your callsign.
8. Pay attention to your surroundings while taxiing to the runway.
9. Do NOT fly low. Flying low puts civilians of California in danger.
10. You may NOT do barrel rolls or any stunts while in a Civilian/Commercial Aircraft.
WARNING: Failure to abide by these rules may cause your license to get suspended or a costly fine.
Communication in ATC Channel
In order to communicate in the ATC Channel, you must follow this format in order to log Takeoffs and Landings.
When taking off, navigate to the ATC Channel and use the following format:
| Takeoff | Callsign | Aircraft | Location | Intentions |
When landing, navigate to the ATC Channel and use the following format:
| Landing | Callsign | Aircraft | Location |
Intentions are not needed in the landing format because while you were in the air, you already performed those
intentions that you said.
Extra Information
