The development is strategically divided into four distinct zones. Each of the four zones
in Downtown Jebel Ali will be a complete urban quarter – they will encompass the full
range of services, from jobs to housing, transit station, streetcar line and retail hub.
Zone 4, like every other zone, is located between freeway interchanges and will have
it’s own light rail station and internal street car system. In addition, each zone will have
three defined districts - Urban Centre, Trellis and Medina. The identity of each district
will be based on the intimate details of its plazas, streets and greens. Each one will be
individual, interconnected and up-to-date.
The highlight of this district is the central plaza, located at
the light rail station, will feature a range of cafes, restaurants
and shops. Surrounded by the district’s tallest residential and
