Exterior Architecture is committed to creating strong, legible, and innovative landscape designs that enhance the health and well-being of the environment. They recently visited the New Zealand Garden located in Windsor Great Park, which was inspired by the director and features over 3000 rare and endangered native New Zealand plants. Members of Exterior Architecture also visited Prior Park Landscape Garden in Somerset for design inspiration, which contains an 18th century landscape garden designed by Alexander Pope and features the stunning Palladian Bridge and Serpentine Lake with a Sham Bridge.

Park Landscape Gardens just The Design Museum
outside Bath. Created from 1784 www.designmuseum.org
onwards by Bath Entrepreneur
and philanthropist Ralph Allen,
with advice from Alexander Pope,
this 28 acre 18th century landscape
garden lies in a sweeping valley
with the stunning city of Bath
set high on the surrounding hills,
and is a great example of the
English Landscape Movement.
Of particular significance is the
Palladian Bridge, allegedly one
of only four in the world. Also
the Serpentine Lake which
features a Sham Bridge, giving
the appearance to a pool of
water of a bridge with a stream
running beyond. Its definitely
recommended as a place to visit.
