DOWNLOADING AND UNPACKING THE VIRTUAL MACHINE
1. Make sure you have the virtualization software to open our virtual machine. Please see
the FAQ section for information about how to obtain this software.
2. Go to the Web Browser settings and turn on the option Ask where to save each file before
downloading using the following path: Settings > Advanced > Downloads.
(for Chrome, for other browsers, the download option menu commands can be a bit different)
3. Create the following folders for your future training VM on your computer:
• Archive
• VM
4. Make sure that you have enough space on the disk where you are going to create the Archive
and VM folders. Please see below.
5. Download the *.exe file and all *.rar files one by one using the provided link and save them to
Archive folder.
If you have a stable Internet connection, you can download the whole OVA file (from the OVA
file subfolder), which is approximately 25-30 GB in size.
Note: Download all files to the Archive folder. This will require approximately 25-27 GB.
Once you extract all files via the link, the OVA file becomes available to you which is
approximately 25-30 GB in size. The launched OVA file requires approximately 45-50 GB.
5. ABBYY FlexiCapture 12. Credentials and VM Installation 5

8. Select the parent folder created in step 2 for the OVA file unpacking.
9. Wait until the process is finished. Then you will see one OVA file in your destination folder.
10. Now you can delete the Archive folder, freeing up disk space.
11. Select the OVA file and open it using any virtualization software product. Please see
the screenshot below.
Note: The OVA file format is supported by a range of virtualization software products, such as
VMware Workstation Player or VirtualBox (relevant links can be found at the end of these
