“Explore, Reinvent & Innovate” –
TEDxFCCollege
Nov 30, 2012 By Komal Feroz No Comments Posted Under: TEDxFC College
TED is a nonprofit organization which started as a fourday
conference 25 years ago in California. A conference that has devoted
itself, since, to spreading ideas, “believes passionately in the power
of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world (hence
they) offer free knowledge and inspiration from the world’s most
inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage
with ideas and each other.”
TED started a program of local, self organized events to provide a TED-like experience to all, called
TEDx (where x = independently organized TED event). This program inspired the International
Affairs Society (IAS) at the Forman Christian College (FCC) in Lahore to host their second TEDx
event and provide a platform to share cultures and experiences among different individuals again.
The theme behind their event is “INNOVATION – Harnessing The Hidden Revolution.” They
“strongly believe that innovation drives growth, resuscitate mature industries and opens up new
opportunities for a better tomorrow.”
The TEDxFCCollege program comprises TED Talks videos and live speakers. They have invited
speakers from all spheres of life and success: Mr. Ali Raza, Founder and Director of YES Network
Pakistan; Mr. Amin Hashwani, President of the Charter for Compassion Pakistan; Ms. Mashal
Peerzada a Screenwriter & Director; Mr. Muhammad Adeel, Corporate Communications Lead at
InVitro Vogue; Mr. Najib Jutt, CEO/Principal of EnCorbus; Mr. Zeeshan Zafar Hashmi, Associate
at Bhadari, Naqvi & Riaz and Ms. Zehra Ali, Founder & CEO of Ghonsia – a dynamic panel of
speakers indeed.
So join the TEDxFCCollege Team at Armacost Building S-009,Forman Christian College on
December 8th, 2012 from 3pm-7:30pm as they celebrate the harnessing of the hidden revolution.
”The tools of the hidden revolution are innumerable and varied. For TEDxFCCollege, it is a matter
of highlighting who is using them, and how.”
