will require careful planning for teacher readiness with primary focus on technology competence and

“Magic Boosed” an elementary school geometry textbook with marker-based augme...
Recently media that is used on mathematic study is just board and printed book. Usually teacher uses, modelling tool to visualize study objects like geometry, but students must be in alternatively to fulfill that demand requires application which can deliver 3-dimension geometry to emphasize students understanding of volume and surface area. This research will implement based tracking marker method on textbook and develop geometry study application based on augmented reality, it is called “Magic Boosed”. The existence of AR combination technology, then geometry which will be taught by teacher to elementary school student will be more interesting and make students are easier to learn shape and geometry formulas, this is evident from data analysis test on student learning improvement using kolmogorov-smirnov testing.

Before teaching in Second Life be a student
Only if you have been there like a student you will consider some aspects not only to improve user engagement if not to enrich the experience and to design the learning activity and, one of the most important things, to research new ways for learning.
As student you will realize the importance of a previous support to obtain an idea about the activity (aims, details and methodology) that you are required to make into Second Life. You will consider some values and needs to be explain before using, for example, communicative tools from Second Life. Should you explain what is a notecard before using it in your class? Should you give a roadmap about what kind or Slurls or land could be useful to visit for the learning activity? So, would you explain how to use the map and the search before? And maybe you wonder how would you determine the level of knowledge about Second Life of your students and, if doing that how to design the learning activity because Second Life has to be a tool for teaching not the subject of your learning activity.

189 higher education teachers were surveyed to explore perceptions on adopting VR. Findings revealed
the adoption of VR vectored on teachers perceived readiness confidence in technology skill and belief that
VR has potential to benefit student learning. Moreover, understanding students cognitive experience in the
immersive VR environment remains underdeveloped and may influence teacher’s perception of readiness
to adopt VR for teaching. However, there is an opportunity to influence educational models by providing a
VR approach to knowledge creation centred around cognitive processes students use to make sense of the
real world. But there remain perceived challenges centered around costs, technical issues, content
availability, and pedagogical integration. This study concludes any successful adoption of VR for teaching
will require careful planning for teacher readiness with primary focus on technology competence and
pedagogical matters. Although more research is needed to understand teachers’ readiness, VR is likely
forthcoming and has potential to be an important resource in the educator’s toolkit.
