Introduction
Emotional intelligence is an attribute related to emotional information and individual’s emotions; it is not only beneficial to an individual in terms influencing interpersonal relationship, but is also applicable in group settings such as in work environments. Due to its importance, a number of researches have been conducted relating emotional intelligence to leadership and management. Drigas and Papoutsi (2019) describe emotional intelligence-EI as the evaluation, perception, and management of individual’s and others’ emotions. The concept of EI connects cognition, emotion, and metacognitive processes; it is more important in the work places now than it were before due to the high interconnection of the world economy thanks to globalization. That means in work environments, employees with high emotional intelligence are valued than those without because of their ability to cope with a different people from different cultures and lifestyles. In leadership and management positions, EI is attractive because of the many demands and enhanced competition faced today. Summarily, EI creates the needed skills framework and responsible behavior that help people succeed at work. Whereas emotional intelligence is a human attribute, organizations also adopt the concept. Drigas and Papoutsi (2019) note that emotionally intelligent organizations attract talents to their workforce and address challenges effectively; in such organizations the leaders and managers cooperate, influence others and find creative and faster ways of finishing tasks. Notably emotions that are properly managed enhance trust, commitment, and faith. That means the innovations, productivity, and success of organizations, groups, or individuals arise in situations where emotional intelligence is high (Zeider, Matthews, & Roberts, 2004). Due to the importance and applications of emotional intelligence at different levels, the paper explains whether EI is an art or a science.

As highlighted above, emotional intelligence is associated with success; as such, leaders and managers value EI because of its importance in their various responsibilities. Emotional Intelligence and Effective Leadership

Abstract
Emotional Intelligence has become increasingly popular as a measure for identifying potentially
effective leaders, and as a tool for developing effective leadership skills. There is little empirical
research that substantiates the efficacy of emotional intelligence in these areas. The aim of the
present paper is to explore the relationship between emotional intelligence and effective
leadership to evaluate the tendency of emotional control of the working class both male and
female at a managerial level in a private and public sector of Pakistan mainly Banking sector. A
survey of 50 people is conducted by distributing. Random sampling technique is used to answer
the instrument of the study. SPSS software was used to analyze the data collected based on
descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, percentage. The result indicates that the
relationship between leadership style and Emotional Intelligence is positive and significant.

One of the most applied constructs which emotional intelligence has been associated with
is that of leadership. The leadership literature has produced countless theories outlining which
characteristics compose the most effective leader, however, current academic research in the area
describes two distinct types of leaders: transformational and transactional (Mandell&
Pherwani,2003). Transformational leader stimulates interest among colleagues, inspires a
different outlook on the work, generates an awareness of the goals of the organization, develops
others to higher level of ability and motivates others to consider the interests of the group over
their own interests. Along these lines, transformational leadership is said to be comprised of the
following four dimensions: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation
and individual consideration (Bass &Avolio, 1994). Alternatively, the transactional leader is one
whom rewards (or disciplines) staff on the basis of their performance. They emphasize work
standards, task completion and employee compliance while relying heavily on organizational
rewards and punishments to influence employee performance (Bass &Avolio, 1994).
Researchers investigating the effects of transformational and transactional leadership
have found that transformational leadership predict higher ratings of effectiveness and
satisfaction (Hater & Bass, 1998), higher group performance (Keller, 1995) and higher amount
of effort on the part of subordinates (Seltzer & Bass, 1990) compared to transactional leadership.

Management theories are ideas and rules that are designed to help in managing the organization. They facilitate proper management planning, organization, leadership, and control. Definition of management states that goals are set and achieved “by exercising of related functions planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling.” Managers everywhere perform management functions, but how they are executed is determined in part by organizational influences and the individuals’ involved (Plunkett, Allen, & Attner, 2013, p. 17). Management theory and practice stresses the need for effective planning, organizing to ensure that organizational goals are reachable and obtained.
Psychologist Elton Mayo emphasized the behavioral aspects of workers. Beginning in 1924 Mayo and the National Academy of Sciences conducted five studies. The studies heightened management’s awareness of the social needs of workers and showed how an organization’s social environment influenced productivity. He discovered that when employees were treated with dignity, in a way that showed concern for their welfare and individuality, commitment and productivity increased (Plunkett, et al, 2013, p. 44).
Behavior management theory effectively paved the way for modern-day employees-assistance programs: such as substances abuse intervention and day care for children, and innovations in communications involving subordinates and peers, individually and collectively (Plunkett et al, 2013, p. 45). Behavioral schools can help managers identify their roles and skills to improve their organization. Employees are the most important asset to an organization with the proper training managers will increase productivity among them. Therefore, a manager who
have the knowledge, experience, motivation, commitment, and skills that implement this
knowledge can better serve their organization (Plunkett, et al, 2013, p. 44).
Management who can motivate employees to increase their performance and productivity are more successful. Employees that are rewarded for accomplish to the success of the organization is a way that management can encourage employees to achieve goals set. Money invested to train and develops talent returns to the business many times over. Only by enlisting the creativity and diverse contributions of all employees can an organization expect to achieve its goals (Plunkett et al, 2013, p. 57). Primal leadership requires dealing with stress in a way that does not negatively impact others and relies on building trust through emotional intelligence. The art of reflective conversation is important for understanding others' perspectives and ensuring positive outcomes.

Management Theory and Practice
Management theories are ideas and rules that are designed to help in managing the organization. They facilitate proper management planning, organization, leadership, and control. Definition of management states that goals are set and achieved “by exercising of related functions planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling.” Managers everywhere perform management functions, but how they are executed is determined in part by organizational influences and the individuals’ involved (Plunkett, Allen, & Attner, 2013, p. 17). Management theory and practice stresses the need for effective planning, organizing to ensure that organizational goals are reachable and obtained.
Psychologist Elton Mayo emphasized the behavioral aspects of workers. Beginning in 1924 Mayo and the National Academy of Sciences conducted five studies. The studies heightened management’s awareness of the social needs of workers and showed how an organization’s social environment influenced productivity. He discovered that when employees were treated with dignity, in a way that showed concern for their welfare and individuality, commitment and productivity increased (Plunkett, et al, 2013, p. 44).
Behavior management theory effectively paved the way for modern-day employees-assistance programs: such as substances abuse intervention and day care for children, and innovations in communications involving subordinates and peers, individually and collectively (Plunkett et al, 2013, p. 45). Behavioral schools can help managers identify their roles and skills to improve their organization. Employees are the most important asset to an organization with the proper training managers will increase productivity among them. Therefore, a manager who
have the knowledge, experience, motivation, commitment, and skills that implement this
knowledge can better serve their organization (Plunkett, et al, 2013, p. 44).
Management who can motivate employees to increase their performance and productivity are more successful. Employees that are rewarded for accomplish to the success of the organization is a way that management can encourage employees to achieve goals set. Money invested to train and develops talent returns to the business many times over. Only by enlisting the creativity and diverse contributions of all employees can an organization expect to achieve its goals (Plunkett et al, 2013, p. 57). The ability to set meaningful goals will help steer your employees towards the objective you are trying to reach. Realistic goals, with the appropriate tools to reach them, will make everyone feel a part of the department's success (Ten Steps, 2004).

Week 2: Ethical Relativism
Ethical Relativism is the claim that moral views are relative to the culture in which one lives or to the individual (also called Subjectivism). Many people declare themselves to be ethical relativists, but very few actually believe it to be true in practice. Often people are simply trying to avoid getting into an argument when they say that their ethical positions are just opinions. If it was true that you should avoid arguments about ethical issues, you would have to believe that there are good moral or possibly prudential reasons for not getting into arguments with others, that it was good for everyone to avoid conflict about controversial issues, which means that it is simply correct to be tolerant, making you opposed to relativism. Since you would be claiming that tolerance is a virtue that everyone should accept. In other cases, you may be concerned with ethnocentrism, the practice of imposing your views on others. But then, you would have to believe that being ethnocentric is morally wrong and that there are good moral reasons for not being ethnocentric. All of the people in the class took tolerance to be a moral virtue, some claiming that it is a result of cultural relativism. But you can’t derive a universal value from cultural relativism. Intuition plays a vital role in expert decision-making as described in Welch's theories, which emphasis on the analysis of different phenomena (Jerad H.Moxley, 2012). Intuitive decision making can be explained as a process in which acquired information through associated learning and kept in long term memory can be accessed unconsciously to form fundamental decision or judgment. Thus, the way in which experts come up with intuition and using it effectively in the organization may influence effectiveness and practices of the organization significantly. The roles of intuition in the decision-making process are discussed below. Intuition in the decision-making process plays a vital role in the strategic thinking level (Henning Plessner, 2011). Strategic thinking is a method of synthesis that makes use of creativity and intuition in order to integrate the vision and future of the company. It is essential to use intuition as it creates more opportunities in obtaining a comprehensive solution more so when dealing with complex and challenging situations. Furthermore, intuitive potential inactive top-level leaders are among the essential abilities required in decision-making and play a significant role in improving managerial effectiveness. Some managers may underestimate their potential intuitiveness hence making wring decisions. Elimination of restrictions on
