The document is an open letter to Viktor Orbán, the Prime Minister of Hungary, criticizing his authoritarian actions. It accuses Orbán of dismantling Hungary's democratic institutions and consolidating power by arbitrarily rewriting the constitution to allow any actions by the government. The letter warns that Orbán has effectively made the constitution meaningless by declaring all past court rulings unconstitutional and inserting dead laws into the new arbitrary constitution. It predicts Orbán will soon introduce more feudal and undemocratic policies now that he faces no constitutional limits.

’Governor! You are powerful and your Emperor is mighty. You can kill us all
and you still cannot put this thing into our Temple. You cannot do it for one
simple reason. Wherever you put it, it is not a Temple any more.’
How does it come here? We’ll see it in a minute.
In present-day Hungary, the situation is very similar to the situation in Rome
and in one of Rome’s provinces, Palestine in the 1st century CE. However, the
details vary a great deal since You, Exorbitant Pry Minister re-arranged the
plot from ancient to post-modern, and the casting has worked out according
to the Hungarian reality.
In the casting you gained quite a few roles. You play the Dictator and you play
it really authentically. And as for all real dictators, you have all the rights, and
you will have all the responsibility. Congratulations.
You also play the post-modern equivalent of the Governor who seemingly
sympathizes with the subdued locals. I must tell you frankly that you play this
role a great deal less authentically than your main role. For some, including
me, you are absolutely incongruent in this role.
And, very importantly, you have to coordinate the Parliamentary Group, i. e.
the Button-Pusher Semi-Skilled Workers Brigade, to push those buttons really
semi-skillfully.
Plot: we are in Hungary in the 3rd year out of 4 years of Fidesz Rule. The last
but one, if you ask me.
The story-line has also changed a tiny bit. You have pulled down the 21st
century equivalent of the Old Temple, the Constitution, and have built your
New Temple, the Arbitrary Constitution.
This New Temple looks more like a morgue or a mausoleum than a real
temple since you hoard all the laws and acts and decrees there that the
Constitution Court declared dead. By the way, with this you have changed the
function of the Constitution Court to that of the Coroner.

2. If it is your own Arbitrary Constitution, you can put into it whatever you
want, no limits, and from now on you can do practically anything since it will
always make you perfectly (arbitrarily) constitutional.
With this, the role of the Chief Rabbi becomes so complex that it has to be
played by multiple actors like the Opposition, some of the Trade Unions,
university, college, and secondary school students, the High Brass of the
Council of Europe, the High Brass of the European Parliament, Diplomats
from Germany, Denmark, the Netherland, and the US, the Homeless,
Religious Minorities, and the few survivors of the neutral or oppositional
media that are few and far between.
They have all been warning You, Exorbitant Pry Minister not to put those
dead laws and acts and decrees into your Arbitrary Constitution but a Decent
Dictator would not listen to such agents.
These agents have been telling you that all these acts are unconstitutional
but I think they are wrong.
These acts are all perfectly (arbitrarily) constitutional. They are because you
have changed the Constitution for your taste and liking thus turning it into
your Arbitrary Constitution. We all should be prepared for the introduction of
the Right for the First Night, the Ban on Free Mobility, the Ban of the
Opposition out of Parliament, and other feudalistic beauties in the near
future.
All these acts are constitutional according to the Arbitrary Constitution that is
in, but they are perfectly and disgustingly unconstitutional according to the
Constitution that is out.
Because of this, everybody who is not You, Exorbitant Pry Minister should
focus on Hungarian Democracy rather than being or not being constitutional,
as long as your Arbitrary Constitution is in vogue. Let’s see how it goes.
