Mr. Iacovides is the Owner/President of Epsilon Consulting Ltd in Nicosia, Cyprus.
He has 30 years of experience as an economist and management consultant with
expertise in small and medium enterprise (SME) management consulting, marketing
research, techno-economic feasibilities studies, small business training, and
environmental and socio-economic impact assessment.
As Principal of Epsilon Consulting Ltd (EPSCY, www.epsilon.gr), he supported
CSA with legal, regulatory, and socio-economic information on Cyprus in the
preparation of EIA-related documents. Furthermore, as a subcontractor to CSA,
EPSCY contributed to the preparation of the Permitting Plan for an onshore liquefied
natural gas (LNG) Plant for liquefying and exporting LNG from Cyprus. EPSCY also
organized the LNG Permitting Study Workshop to optimize the characterization of
the necessary permits and complying with existing and future laws and regulations.
In addition to the preparation of the socioeconomic and regulatory sections of EIAs
to support Noble Energy’s drilling program in Cyprus during the past four years
(2011 to 2016), he has been involved in the preparation of a permitting study for
offshore facilities, and EIAs for oil and gas projects. Mr. Iacovides has also been
involved in consulting small and medium enterprises in Cyprus, and in providing
economic analysis and business strategy advice in the context of several research
projects funded by the European Union (the latest two being “Smart Islands” and
“smeSpire”).
Mr. Iacovides established Epsilon Consulting in 1997 in Nicosia, Cyprus. He
currently teaches Operations Management at the University of Cyprus (Department
of Mechanical Engineering). Previously he taught Innovation and Entrepreneurship
and Management Consultancy in the MBA Programme of Kingston University in
Cyprus and International Marketing (in Greek and in English) at the Mediterranean
Institute of Management.

assessment/management expert ; interim manager/director assignments

EXPERIENCE
1997 to Present: Epsilon Consulting Ltd – Owner/President
Co-founded Epsilon Consulting Ltd (EPSCY), a SME management, environmental, and
public policy consulting and training firm.
Designed and implemented several project feasibility and market research studies, among
them a dead animal incinerator plant feasibility study for the Cypriot Ministry of Agriculture, an
urban taxi passenger demand determination study for the Cypriot Ministry of Communications
and Works, and several techno-economic feasibility studies for roads.

Contracted (2001 to 2003) to set-up, organize, and manage the National Resource Centre
for Guidance (Euroguidance Centre Cyprus) as an Advisor to the Department of Labour
(Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance). The Euroguidance Centre is co-funded by the
Leonardo da Vinci Programme and the Government of Cyprus. Mr. Iacovides secured the
maximum possible funding for the Centre for Years 2002, 2003, and 2004. Mr. Iacovides also
prepared the Activity Plan for 2004 to 2007, and the Subsidy Request for 2004 to 2005, and
secured funding for EURES Cyprus by DG Employment and Social Affairs.
Taught (since 1997) in English and in Greek International Marketing, and Innovation and
Entrepreneurship at the post-graduate level (MIM Programme of the Cyprus Productivity
Centre, and MBA Programme of Kingston University of the UK in Nicosia).
Advised several Cypriot SMEs (in the context of EU funded programs) on all aspects of
SME management and development (1997 to present).
Established himself as an opinion leader in Cyprus in the field of stock market and general
economic commentary through daily and weekly newspaper columns, and weekly TV
appearances since 1999 (he hosted a weekly TV current economic and business affairs
programme for 5 years, 2001 to 2006).
Involved in several EU-funded research projects in the areas of water and environmental
policy, and location-based services.
1995 to 1996: Market Behaviour (Hong Kong) Ltd (now TNS, www.tns-global.com – Senior
Researcher
Designed and implemented several quantitative and qualitative market research and overall
feasibility studies for Hong Kong, Chinese, European and American companies planning to
expand their activities in Asia.
The products and services researched included fast-moving consumer goods, soft drinks
and juices, telecommunications technology, alcoholic beverages, financial services, crop
protection chemicals, etc.
Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Iacovides also lived and worked in Vietnam, Thailand, and
Taiwan.
TNS is the second largest market research organization in the world, with over 14.000 full-
time employees in 70 countries across the world.
1993 to 1995: Procter and Gamble Saudi Germany – Senior Planning Manager
Responsible for market research for key strategic categories (diapers, oral care) and major
geographical area (Europe).
Planned and coordinated market research projects to examine the overall feasibility and
profitability of the launch of new products, the relaunch of existing products, and the expansion
of the company’s operations in new countries.
Designed, implemented and coordinated all types of marketing research projects for key
oral care brands in Germany and across Europe.
Analysed research results and presented them to Management.
1991 to 1993: Procter and Gamble Saudi Arabia – Planning Manager
Played a key role in setting up the Market Research Department, and in making it a
valuable and respected source of tactical and strategic management information.
Responsible for market research activities aimed at strengthening major established
product categories (diapers and catamenials), which accounted for about 40% of the
company’s volume and profit.

profitable categories (fruit juices).

companies, and parastatal organisations. This represented 9% of the Bank’s loan portfolio.
The Department comprised 3 Account Managers and contributed 15% of the Bank’s profit.
