1. HSE Working Experience
A) Joannou & Paraskevaides (Oman) L.L.C in Oman, from April 2014 – to Date
Health, Safety, Security and Environment Manager (HSSE)
Responsible for all the matters concerning Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) of the
Company's Projects, Offices, Plant Department, Storehouse, Workshops and Camp.
These include:
• Liaising with regulatory bodies on HSE subjects;
• Cooperate with subcontractors/suppliers.
• Promote Safety at work place.
• Organizing and leading HSE training
• Advising Management on new HSE developments/ requirements;
• Preparing HSE Plans, Programmes, Construction Environmental Management Plans,
Waste Management Plans, HSE related inspection forms
• Carrying out HSE and Quality audits, supporting the implementation of Quality, Environment and
Health and Safety standards of the Company;
• Participating in Management safety audits and workplace inspections;
• Conducting Noise, Humidity, Dust, COx, Nox, Sox measurements and preparing reports
• Preparing the Company’s Policy documentation on HSE matters;
• Identifying known and potential hazards and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Managing of HSE Committees;
• Developing accident investigations and reporting system including records and statistics;
• Evaluation of HSE programmes, setting of targets;
• Ensuring adequacy of Company’s HSE training level and Environmental awareness
including subcontractors.
• Evaluating risk assessments, method statements, HSE plans, emergency plans provided by
subcontractors.
• Conducting Safety Induction course for new Staff.
• Organising and performing all kinds of HSE drills related to each constructions' site needs.
Projects being involved as a HSE Officer
• April 2014 to date: MC12 – Design and Construction of MRO and Cargo Facilities at Muscat
International and Salalah Airports (Value €550m)

Projects being involved as a HSE Manager
• March 2012 to April 2014: VTT Vasiliko Oil Tanks and Jetty at Vasiliko. The project includes the
construction of 34 No. Oil Storage Tanks and 1 No. Oily Water Tank of total of 630 m3 net capacity
and a jetty extending 1.5 km in to the sea, relevant topside facilities with all associated pipe work
and Civil Works involved.(Value €198.22m) From June 2013 up to April 2014 I have been the Site
HSE Manager.
Projects being involved as a HSE Officer
• May 2011 to April 2014: FBME BANK Head offices Nicosia: A six floors Building complex (value
EUR€15.4m)
• April 2010 to June 2013: Design and Construction of Limassol Marina. (Value EUR€272m)
• February 2010 to January 2014: Construction of 3No Villas at Theraland in Limassol.(Value
EUR€1.76m)
• December 2009 to May 2010: Gladstonos Development. Construction of a residential
building block (Value CY£4m).
• December 2009 to December 2010: Makedonitissa Development ‘’Makedon’’. 4 No
reinforced concrete residential buildings(value CY£3,5m).
• December 2009 to September 2011: Construction of the civil works for Vasilikos Power
Station Phase IV (value £C8.9m)
• June 2008 - November 2009: Upgrading of Yermasogia Roundabout. The project consisted of
the construction of two parallel flyover main bridges 304m long 12m wide, the construction of two
bridges 75m long 12m wide, a post tensioned voided slab bridge 16m long, 35m wide two
pedestrian underpasses and relevant works for installation of public utilities. (Value CY£17.02m).
• June 2008 - June 2011: Construction of 12No. new buildings at, Demolition of seven (7) existing
housing accommodations and Refurbishment of 2 No. existing single living units Episkopi and
Akrotiri (Value EUR€50.4m)
C) Anaplasis Business Consultant Ltd, Cyprus, from December 2007 – May 2008
HSE Business Consultant
Responsible for the preparation of studies, plans and advising services concerning Environmental,
Health and Safety issues; Conducted internal inspections at several Hotel Units and concrete
factories; Studying and implementation of standards (ISO 9001:2000, ISO
14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007); Training and participating on noise, brightness,
temperature, humidity CO and CO2 measurements to workplaces.
