The dissertation focuses on developing an innovative talent assessment initiative called "Master Craftsmen" to identify high-performing employees in the housekeeping department of Vivanta by Taj hotels. The dissertation includes chapters on identifying the problem of high attrition in housekeeping, reviewing relevant literature, describing the research methodology and pilot study conducted, analyzing the impact of the pilot study, and providing conclusions and recommendations. The pilot study developed and tested a multi-stage talent assessment process at Vivanta hotels in Bangalore and Goa to evaluate housekeeping employees' skills, behaviors, work performance, and identify the top talent.
