This document provides a self-evaluation of a group's project to create a factual fiction news report based on Little Red Riding Hood. It discusses both the process of writing a newspaper article on the topic and creating a video news clip. Some specific challenges mentioned include coming up with an original storyline, gathering actors, and ensuring settings and dialogue seemed realistic. Areas for potential improvement include spending more time on the newspaper title, improving actors' line delivery, choosing better filming locations, and adding more action to engage viewers.

1. Evaluation.
Creating this short clip on factual fiction news report was a difficult and had to
be a well thought out. First we had to come up with a story line but it had to be
based on a fairy-tale or nursery rhyme of our choice with a twist. We came up
with the idea of little red riding hood that got charged with animal cruelty and
did it for money.
However, writing an article was much easier than creating a clip. The setting
had to be realistic to a news report and we had to gather various people to
play the role of the neighbour that found the grandmother in the basement
and the public opinions.
In my opinion I think that my
newspaper article was a success, I
like the photoshopped photo I
created using images from the
internet and then putting Elishia’s
face. Also the title Little Red Lying
Hood was a good idea.
It includes all the things a
newspaper has expect a caption
bellow the picture. The little
advert and other story at the
bottom worked really well and
make the paper more realistic… if
we lived in a fantasy world.
In addition to, if I could do this
again I would spend more time
and thought on the title of the
newspaper as it isn’t very original and lacks creativity.

2. We had to create a script that a real news reporter would use if they were
reporting this case.
The only improvement I
would make is that
some of the actors
didn’t get their lines
right and said things
that didn’t make scene
and often ended their
speech with an
unfinished sentence.
If I could improve or change things, I would change the first location of the first
scene: Where Elishia is walking and talking behind a building that does not look
like a court place. Using a school to film a crime sort of clip is hard.
I would also add
some background
noise of the public
speakers to make
it more realistic.
The shot of the
neighbour scene
wasn’t the best
camera skills. It
didn’t get all his

3. face and meaning to zoom out it zoomed in. The put on accents seemed fake
and therefore made the clip less serious.
If I was to do this again I would include more actions as it lacked any real
enthusiasm and the viewer could easily get bored.
