PROJECT PROPOSAL ONSCHOOL FOR ORPHANS
Introduction:
In our project area number of Orphan, Semi Orphan and Street Children are found. The
problem of orphan / street children is acute due to urbanization and industrialization. Due
to the deaths of HIV/AIDS affected persons, Re-marriage of deserted / widowed /divorce
women, absence of love and security in the families, Family disputes, Unwanted pregnancy
of Trafficking / Sexually exploited girls; these orphan and street children are left withoutcare and support. These children are involved inmetal scrappick
g; pick pocketing and
participating in anti social, criminal activities. Therefore, we envisage mainstreaming these
children in the national building by providing care, support and protection in our SCHOOL
The document discusses the Shannon and Weaver model of communication. [1] It was developed by engineers Claude Shannon and Warren Weaver to maximize efficiency of communication channels like telephone cables. [2] The model views communication as a linear process involving an information source, transmitter, receiver, and destination with a message being sent through a channel. [3] While simple, it neglects feedback, the active role of receivers in interpreting meaning, and how context shapes communication.

The document discusses the importance of studying nonverbal communication. It defines nonverbal communication as any communication that is not spoken or written. Some key types of nonverbal communication discussed include kinesics, facial expressions, paralanguage, touching, personal presentation, proxemics, time, and appearance. The document also outlines nineteen ways to use nonverbal communication to connect with others, such as smiling, shaking hands, being punctual, and leaving on a positive note.
The document discusses three models of communication:
1) The Continuous Loop Model is the earliest and simplest model, showing the basic parts of the communication process including sender, message, channels, receiver, and feedback. However, it assumes continuous communication.
2) The Shannon and Weaver Model was developed in 1949 based on a study of telephone conversations. It includes a sender, transmitter, receiver, noise, and how noise can alter the message.
3) Berlo's model was intended to be all-inclusive but was never tested. It is therefore considered a theory rather than a true model, showing elements like content, code, and characteristics of both the sender and receiver.
Communication involves a sender encoding a message and transmitting it through a channel to a receiver. The receiver then decodes the message and provides feedback to the sender. For successful communication, the message must pass from the sender through the channel without noise distorting the transmission from the encoding to the decoding.
Written and oral communication are both important skills for business. Written communication provides a permanent record but is time-consuming, while oral communication allows for interaction but lacks permanence. To develop effective communication skills, it is important to consider the audience, choose an appropriate tone, and convey information clearly and concisely. Both written and oral communication have advantages and disadvantages for business situations.

The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive function. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms for those who already suffer from conditions like depression and anxiety.
The document discusses the communication process and its key elements. It defines communication as the passing of information from a source to a receiver. There are two models of communication: the linear model, which involves one-way transmission of a message without feedback, and the interactive model, which allows feedback from the receiver to the sender. The main elements of the communication process are the sender, encoder, message, channel, decoder, receiver, feedback, and noise.
The document provides an overview of communication concepts, theories, models and processes. It discusses definitions of communication, different types including intrapersonal, interpersonal, group and mass communication. Key communication theories are outlined such as the hypodermic needle theory, two-step flow of information, agenda setting theory, reinforcement theory, and uses and gratification theory. Models of communication are also summarized including Aristotle's model, Lasswell's model, Shannon and Weaver's engineering model, and Schramm's interactive model.

St.mark nursery Day care center and primary school.
1. etails
St. Mark Institute of Health sciences which is running a project of a Day care centre and a Nursery school
is located in kyengera Masanda zone Wakiso district Uganda. A number of children have increased from
92 children from previous year to 218 children this year. With our local contributions, we have managed
to feed children at school, bought teaching materials for children, bought books and pencils for children.
Some children cannot afford to buy food, pencils and pens. So the day care centre depends on well
wishers and friends locally to help these vulnerable children. We have other challenges like; lack of
sitting materials, such as chairs and bunches, desks, lack of enough teaching blocks (classrooms), some
children sit down on the floor while lessons are being conducted. Some others study in sessions because
the space is not enough. Currently we have two classroom blocks each accommodating 100 children and
yet next year, we hope the number of children will increase from 218 to 600 children. We are trying to
make some bricks in our new land but we don’t have building materials like; cement, roofing materials
and funds to hire a civil engineer to help us in construction. We intend to build six classroom blocks each
costing 2000 dollars.
