3. Little Tracey Character Analysis
The book is taking place in community in Australia. It s about a group who friends who sit
waiting for the bus at the bus shelter. At the bus shelter they play a game. The game being that
they make up stories and they keep it going. One day one of the characters, whose name is Anna,
tells a story in honor for another character, whose named Little Tracey, about a girl. Not just any
ordinary girl, but the daughter of Adolf Hitler. The name of the girl in the story who is Hitler s
daughter is Heidi. In Anna s story Hitler doesn t really like the fact his daughter isn t of perfect
race . His definition of perfect race would be blue eyes, blond hair, tall children who could run
and jump and conquer the world, however; his daughter was small like him, and dark, and her
face was marked like an iron had burnt across it, and she limped. (French 11) In Anna s story
Heidi did not have a mum that she must ve died because Heidi never met her either.
Throughout Anna telling the story Mark (a friend from the group) becomes more interested in her
story. He continues to ask questions that he has about the specific part that Anna is telling about in
her story. Questions pertaining to the relationship between Heidi and her father; Hitler. Questions
like how can Heidi want someone like Hitler, her father, to love her if he is so cruel. Asking Anna
how can Heidi not know about the concentration camps that her father had when she was his
daughter that she must know everything about him. The

HAITI : A GOVERNMENT OF THIEVES PRESIDENT WANTS POLICE BRASS FIRED!
Haitian President Jovenel Moise, a political novice sought to sag 14 high officials of the Haitian
Police Department. This news comes on the hill of an attack on the President s motorcade in the
north side of Haiti a few days ago where the people threw rocks at the president s motorcade a la
Maduro. The chief of the police, Mr. Michel Ange Gedeon was summoned to the Haitian National
Palace in Port au Prince accompanied by two aides. Mr. Gedeon was received by President Moise
flanked by Wilson Laleau and Ardouin Zephirin, two of his senior advisors. The Chief of the
Police was presented with a list of people the president demanded that he fire immediately, or else
he would ask the Haitian Senate to terminate him. The president reportedly told the chief: I control
the majority of the Senate and I will see to it that you are gone pronto.
This political faux pas by Jovenel Moise has raised eyes brows among international observers
especially members of the CORE Group, (a de facto caretaker of the Haitian Government) whose
members sought clarification from the President. Not since the fall of the Duvaliers that ... Show

1.Introduction
1.1 Aim
During the 6 hands on individual labs before this mini project, we have learnt the design and
implementation of filter and oscillator, together with applied characterization of different
components. The objective of Mini Project was for students to demonstrate their innovative design
skills and implement knowledge learnt in lectures to real life product design. Therefore, we aimed
to integrate what we learnt in individual labs into one single product, which is a Voice
Disguiser that can solve practical problems of witness protection.

2.2 Microphone Unit
The microphone was implemented to allow the user to transmit speaker s voice as analog voice
signal from the audio socket. The analog voice signal captured by the microphone is then needed to
pass through an amplifier circuit. The amplitude of this voice signal can be amplified from
millivolts to volts so that the signal becomes easier to for us work with in following
implementations. As figure 2 shown, this amplifier circuit is built by firstly connecting the
microphone input through the positive input terminal of the LM358 chip. Secondly, a feedback
loop is built through the output and negative terminal. Then the analog voice signal captured by the
microphone is, therefore, amplified.
Figure 2: Schematic Of Microphone Unit
The resistance values of R4 and R3 is purposely chosen for an amplifier gain of 5.7. As shown in
Figure 3, a significant amplifying effect of the microphone voice signal can been seem afer passing
through the amplifier.
Figure 3: Waveform Of Voice Signal Before (Blue) And After (Yellow) Amplifier
Based on oscilloscope detection, the peak to peak value of microphone voice signal before
amplifier is 220mV, while the one after the amplifier is 1.28V. The actual amplifier gain is
6. therefore 5.8 (1.28/0.22), which is very close to the designed value of 5.7.

10. Man s Search For Meaning Victor Frankl
In Man s Search for Meaning, Victor Frankl describes lessons for spiritual revival and his
personal experiences inside the Nazi concentration camps. Frankl disagreed with Freud, a
philosopher who believed that life is a quest for power, and Alfred Adler, who believed that life
is a quest for power; instead, Frankl agreed with Nietzsche who stated that He who has a Why to
live for can bear almost any How. (Page IX.) The three most significant factors that Victor Frankl
wrote about that gave life meaning were work, love, and courage during difficult times. Frankl
describes that the prisoners found meaning in work during their time in the concentration camps.
The prisoners viewed their work for the day as a goal to work toward, which helped them cope
with the arduous labor. In order to receive enough food for survival in the concentration camps,
one would have to perform work, so their life rested in the work they did. Their experiences of
working could... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Frankl describes how suffering gives man opportunity to expand his spirituality beyond himself,
and how inward strength may rise against outward fate. He states that if a person does not
struggle to save their self respect, they will lose the feeling of being an individual: a being with
a mind, personal value, and inner freedom (page 50.) In a way, man is always free because
everyone has the choice to maintain their dignity by choosing their attitude during difficult
circumstances; each person is free to choose how he will respond to a situation (page 66.) Man
has a choice of action and can preserve his independence of mind and spiritual freedom even in
times of physical and mental stress because he is free to choose how he will respond to a situation

This ratio makes Lake Winnipeg more susceptible to excessive nutrient levels, leading to massive
algal blooms and lake wide eutrophication. Nutrient entry points include the Winnipeg River from
the east, The Saskatchewan River from the west, the Red River from the south, and precipitation.
The largest source of total phosphorus (68% total phosphorus load) and nitrogen (34% total
nitrogen load) to Lake Winnipeg is the Red River, followed by the Winnipeg River as second
largest. Approximately 60% of phosphorus and 54% of nitrogen that enters the lake through these
tributaries and precipitation is retained. The only major outflow point is the Nelson River from the
northeast. The Nelson River allows approximately 2500 tonnes of phosphorus to flow out of the
lake, and has been used for electric power generation since 1976 (LWF, 2011). Elevated nutrient
concentrations at the southern end of Lake Winnipeg are most likely a result of the nutrient rich
inflow of the Red River, with phosphorus concentrations being almost three times higher in the

13. The Stages Of Negotiation
Negotiation: Negotiation is a method by which people settle differences. It is a method by which
the concession or agreement is reached, while avoiding controversy and controversy. In any
conflict, it is understandable that people aspire to achieve the best possible outcomes for their
position (or perhaps an organization they represent). However, the principles of equity, seeking
mutual benefit and maintaining a relationship is the key to a successful outcome. Stages of
negotiation In order to achieve a desirable outcome, it can be useful to follow a structured
approach to negotiation. For example, in a work situation it may require a meeting to be agreed that
all the parties involved can come together. The negotiation process includes the following stages:
Preparation This stage involves ensuring all the relevant facts of the situation are known to clarify
their own position. Work in the previous illustration, this would involve knowing the rules of the

14. Analysis Of Amy Chua s Battle Hymn Of The Tiger Mother
The Tiger Mother Way
Amy Chua s book Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother brings up much room for debate and
controversy for arguments whether Chinese parents do a better job than their Western counterparts.
Chua s parenting methods are most commonly described as stereotypical way every Chinese child
is raised. She explains in further detail how she raised her two daughters Sophia and Louisa and
why she believed in the tiger mother way. Although Chua s children became successful adults, she
made both good and bad parenting decisions. She was unfairly harsh and critical; however, she is a
successful parent in the aspect that she did teach her children many useful life skills such as not
giving up easily and how to excel academically.
Amy Chua was very harsh on her daughters. Chua not only once refused to let her daughter
Louisa eat but also to take a bathroom break(PC) during their music recitals (Chua 62). This is
most certainly by far one of the most overbearing(voc) and extreme parenting techniques Chua
practices on her children, Chua has very little tolerance for mediocracy and would turn away a
home made birthday card her very own daughter made for her if she thought they had not put
enough effort into it. This shows that she has a cold and very bold stance against weaknesses and
lackluster effort. Amy Chua by nature is a competitive person and everything is compared to or

16. Subsidy
Background.
What this paper endeavours to illustrate is that government funding is sometimes necessary for
the sustainable functioning of the economy and society from a holistic perspective. Firstly, let
us define the term subsidy , and how this fits in an economic context. Oxford Dictionary defines
subsidy as follows: a sum of money granted by the state or a public body to help an industry or
business keep the price of a commodity or service low (OED Add. Ser. Vol. 3, 1997). Subsidising
industry is anathema to the concept of free trade as the very foundation of free trade, as we know,
is built on the cornerstone of laissez faire capitalism and a limited role for government inasmuch as

This approach will provide for us a rounded view of how one symptom of a potential short fall in
the market may lead to the development of more symptoms and impact the economy in a more
noticeable way.
If we loosely adopt the progression as depicted in the vicious cycle diagram on the left, and begin
from the initial action of the closure of SPC, there is an immediate impact on the market by way
of equity (i.e., Coca Cola Amatil s share holders are affected), companies relying on SPC will find
it difficult to adapt to the new business conditions as they will now have to adjust for the loss of a
significant client, strain will also be placed on competitors as they may need to facilitate for greater
supply in order to satisfy the growing demand (thus placing unprecedented pressure on the business
and potentially increasing their over heads and capital outlay). Furthermore, certain communities
and townships may have flourished due to the inception or establishment of an industry or business
(in this context, the Shepparton, Victoria community where the canning facility is based) may now
experience difficulty and major adjustments that will effectively impact other areas of operations in
the market. It s almost impossible to quantify the level of impact on the market without an actuarial
investigation, but if we can assume that the local currency is affected, this may greatly affect other
businesses that rely on imports. When the purpose of business is to make

18. The Gulf Of Mexico Dead Zone
The main problem this paper intends to discuss regards the Gulf of Mexico dead zone. This dead
zone, which for the most part encompasses the water off the coast of Louisiana, becomes depleted
in dissolved oxygen. The dead zone is an outcome of nutrient runoff into the Gulf from urban areas,
wastewater treatment plants, and from atmospheric deposition, however, the majority comes from
fertilizers used in agriculture around the Mississippi River Basin. The increase in nutrients has
been affecting the Gulf of Mexico ecosystem by forming difficult conditions in which organisms
live. Another consequence that is directly related to the ecosystem damage is the effect on the
fishing economy in in the region. In the paper I will address the questions, how has the dead zone
specifically caused damage to the ecosystem of the Gulf of Mexico and how has that damage
affected the economic productivity of the fisheries? Furthermore, what policy solutions exist to
solve the dead zone problem? Dead zones develop due to excess nutrients getting into water causing
eutrophication, which means over enrichment. River runoff deposits these nutrients, which come
from upstream, a large amount from agriculture of the Midwest. Nitrogenand phosphorus, the
primary excess nutrients, are limiting nutrients to primary producers, such as phytoplankton, that
live in the surface oceans. Since those elements are limiting nutrients, an elevated influx of them
will cause an explosion of productivity called an

Sociological Analysis on Leadership Communication
This paper will break down how leadership communication and leadership meetings play out
sociologically. Within Banner leadership is made up through Bureaucracy, which within this
company is made up of predominantly females. As you may imagine, leadership meetings are made
up of many social statuses, roles, and leadership styles. The most sociologically interesting part is
that the meeting is made of many different factors, yet throughout the entire meeting the group
continued to have the corporate culture in mind, and always pushed towards the end goal in a way
that would reflect the company s mission and vision statements. The social context of the meetings
were always geared towards the development and growth in a large healthcare corporation. When
the high level ranked employees would speak to implement new policies they took a more direct
approach, which came across more stern. There was also a more open approach when there was
open discussion to come up with solutions or ideas on ways to better enhance the company. With
the open discussion it was much more enthusiastic and encouraging within the room. The people
affected by leadership and their meetings are patients who are seen within Banner, and all of Banner
s employees. Trends that can be seen throughout leadership and their meeting are bureaucracy,
social status, roles, educational degree, teamwork, curiosity, and social integrations. The

of attempt to commit suicide. The provision not only introduces a presumption of severe stress,
though not a conclusive one, in favour of persons attempt to commit suicide but also directs
government to take appropriate measures to rehabilitate them and to prevent the recurrence of it. It
shows that greater attention is being given to psychological aspects of these kind of issues.
Although, the anti suicidal provision has not been done away with, the current development needs
to be seen as a primary step in that direction.
Suicide is the second leading cause of death globally among 15 29 age group. In India more than
one lakh persons (1, 35,455) commit suicide in the year of 2012 alone. 2002 2012 decade has

many, including depression, family problems, illness, poverty, drug abuse etc. It needless to stress

27. Borrys Monologue
playing cricket outside. I pitched the ball to Borys, with a loud crack the ball went soaring.
Roman was a much better pitcher than I, but still I was not bad. Borys was the best hitter of us
all, and he made it known. He always made a point to make actions when he was up like the
people The once so clear and blue sky was filled with ashes and smoke. The bright shining sun
was covered by a sheet of grey. The warmth that radiated from the sun moments ago came so
much more from the blazing fire now. As the buildings were devoured by flames the cloud of
smoke grew ever more. The grey shadowed the city and swallowed the light.

The boys talked about cricket and friends, which wasn t unusual. My mom said something about
being grateful for her amazing kids. Probably for us more than her. A lot of the time she would

thought I had already gone to sleep I heard her up, talking to him. This was pretty normal but
that night my mother sounded more frantic than usual. She was babbling about some drill at the
power plant the next day. My mother worked at the big power plant in our city. Now I suppose
that big power plant is all anyone even remembers about where I lived. Before the accident
though, our town thrived. People were constantly walking on the streets, visiting the beach and
my favorite, riding the ferris wheel. We lived in the city of Chernobyl. My mother went on about
how one of the reactors in the plant didn t seem right to her. She was worried about the test

28. I Have For My Remix Project
For my Remix project, I have done the blog kind of think that helps the students what they
should do while they are in college. I have seen so many students in Michigan State
University(MSU) who feel pretty stressed out about their studies. I think that is because so
many people do not do the things that they suppose to do. The other reason I have selected this
topic to do the remix on, is that I have seen one of my friends go though this, I mean he was
about the drop out of the college, but he changed his life style totally. Like, he started going to
class and taking notes and all other things. I have used Storify, which is one of the best platforms
for writing the blogs. I have used this website because I was familiar with it and I knew how to use
it.
For this remix project, my audience was the group of people who want to do well in college like
high school students, and other group of people who are thinking about dropping the college or
even feeling stressed out (I also consider some international students too). I tried to make the blog
as funny as I can. I mean the reason for that is if you go online and try to find this type of article
that talks about the same topic as mine, you probably end up with boring article. The article that
I used to do the remix on was the most boring article and it also talks about this type of topic
which clearly makes it much more boring that is why I decided to add some pictures and some
GIF things so that I can attract number of people.

30. Casement Replacement Windows Vs Six Room Analysis
For New Jersey and New York Metro homeowners thinking about upgrading their homes with high
performance, custom built replacement windows, choosing a style may be the easiest decision
they make, or the hardest. Some people are happy with the way their home looks, but are tired of
the drafty corners and high heating and air conditioning bills. Simply replacing their existing
double or single hung windowswith a modern, better functioning windowunit of the same style
could be the perfect solution. Other homeowners want to make a more dramatic change, perhaps
replace some operable window with fixed windows, or go back with a beautiful bay window to
replace the picture window.

A Recap: Pros and Cons of Crank Style Replacement Windows
Crank style windows are terrific in tight spaces and where you would normally have to climb a
ladder to raise a window, or where you have to reach across a counter. Both awnings and
casements really bring in a ton of fresh air, but you can only open an awning window on a rainy
day, unless you don t mind cleaning up water off the floor. Casement windows are often better
than awnings in upper floors and neither style is a great fit if you have shrubbery close to the
house, or want to place furniture close to the house on your patio.

31. A Humanist Society Of New Mexico
What is a humanist? Many people do not think about what defines a humanist. Kurt Vonnegut put it
shortly: Being a Humanist means trying to behave decently without expectation of rewards or
punishment after you are dead. Though it isn t what anyone will find in Webster s Dictionary, it is a
simple statement that informs the world of what these individuals believe. Humanists feel very
strongly about the importance of humanlife and the utilization of the time you spend on Earth.
Fredric March, President of the Humanist Society of New Mexico, describes his opinion of the
humanist social agenda as: ...freedom of religionand freedom from religion... (March 19). He later
states that they feel strongly about social equality, secular democracy, and the health of our
ecosystem. March also describes investigation of religion. He believes that cognitive science
explains all questions unanswered while individuals question what the believe in. While they
depend on cognitive science for some religious inquiries, humanists see fault in our political
motives and actions (March 16). Nigel Tubbs feels that Capitalism abates the value of each
humans life, and stirs greed causing desecration of the natural environment. He believes that
citizens are dehumanized by the non secular government and the needs of of those who are
supposed to be served are replaced (Tubbs 478). So how do humanist react to society and other

Our history classes can only cover so much, yet one of the most important ancient traders of the
Ancient World is left out of our curriculum, Zheng He. Originally of Muslim descent, Zheng He
was taken from his home and put into the army at a young age, where he quickly rose through the
ranks, making his way quickly to the top of the military hierarchy. Diplomacy and peace are
necessary when interacting with others, and Zheng Heis the only trader/explorer to spread this
type of unity between countries. You may go the way of the heavenly kingdom, strictly abide by

On Zheng He s 5th voyage, he made it all the way to Africa, opening a whole new world of
materials (such as rare gems, coral and amber) for China and earning him a place in China s
history. From the east coast of Africa, a giraffe was brought all the way back to China, and was
used as proof that the Ming dynasty was in the favor of the gods because it was similar to the
mythical Chinese animal, a Qinan. Envoys and diplomats to almost all of the kingdoms on his
expeditions were sent with Zheng He and he brought back several foreign envoys to China,
where there were treated like royals. In a few cases, the king of a country would be sent as an
envoy. Once the envoys were brought back to their home countries, they would spread the news
of China s prosperity and the Ming dynasties success in turning the land into something great
once more. In addition to transporting envoys, they also granted titles onto local leaders, which
made the locals respect the Ming emperor and made them want to serve him more. Zheng He
was also sent on a mission to eliminate all the pirates who were causing mayhem in the Indian
Ocean and the surrounding seas. Because of his success, all the towns and villages that Zheng He
visited gained a favorable view of China, which is exactly what the Yongle emperor wanted. This
rise in popularity was great for China s international life, as it made them seem like a wealthy and
generous country that inspired others to take after their views and government. Yet once the
Mongols began invading once more at the Northern walls it became clear that there was only so
much money that could be spent on popularity. The voyages used up more money than they
received profit. With the lopsided logic of the tribute and envoy system, China was actually losing
money in the process. This was enough reason to shut

34. John Wycliffe And The Lollards Function
The writings of John Wycliffe and the Lollards function as sort of a prequel to the protestant
reformation that would sweep through England and Europe in the sixteenth century. It is clear that
the Lollards were not all perfect representations of Wycliffe s beliefs. Furthermore, just like the
many divisions of Protestantism, Lollardism was made up of many groups of differing opinion. It
was not a monolith. However, there are numerous discernible similarities in belief between
Wycliffe, and his varied followers, and the eventual English Reformation. The writings of John
Wycliffe were a significant precursor in the political and religious developments of the English
Reformation. One of the primary concerns of Wycliffe was the temporal power of the clergy.
His first works, including the De Civili Dominio, focused on the unwelcomed intrusion of the
pope and his clergy into secular affairs. This was not a view unique to the fourteenth century.
Kings had often vied against the Pope for power throughout the Middle Ages. The extent of the
Pope s influence and power in foreign realms was certainly not a settled issue in England or the
rest of Catholic Europe. The De civili dominio suggests that it is the responsibility of the state, and
its secular rulers, to judge the morality of the church. Wycliffe begins the De civili dominio by
establishing precedent for his ideas by referring to the ancient magi, or three wise men that visited
Jesus upon his birth. Wycliffe states a long held

36. The Gun Laws And Banning The United States
Amar Redzepagic 10/3/15
The gun laws and bans in the United States are not helping to make things better or decrease our
crime rate or solve anything instead we need better background checks to make sure we are not
giving guns to the wrong people. A study published in the Harvard journal of law and public policy
discovered that the nations with more guns tend to have a lower crime rate (Snyder, Michael. N.p.,
12 Aug. 2013. Web. 26 Mar. 2015.). This proves that people tend not to commit a crime if they
know that people around them are armed and ready to fire also they know that if they go to a
country with a lower percentage of gun ownership they are not taking as much risk because there
aren t that many guns in the area.
Are all these bans and laws really necessary? The nine European nations with the lowest rate of
gun ownership have a murder rate that is three times higher than the nine European nations with
the highest rate of gun ownership (Snyder, Michael. N.p., 12 Aug. 2013. Web. 26 Mar. 2015), I
think guns are actually helping us, overall guns are used eighty times more to prevent crimes
rather than used in them. In the United States about 200,000 women protect themselves against
sexual assault using guns every year. (Snyder, Michael. N.p., 12 Aug. 2013. Web. 26 Mar. 2015).

пѓћ9 Ways artificial intelligence and virtual reality will change education and healthcare.
Today we are going to discuss the ways in which artificial intelligence and virtual reality will
change education and healthcare globally. But first what do we mean by the word artificial
intelligence and virtual reality, both of them have really captured the attention of education sector as
well as the health sector. They have realized the great potential artificial intelligence and virtual
reality have in their sectors.
Artificial intelligence is intelligence portrayed from machines that are capable of undertaking tasks
that usually require human intelligence while Virtual reality is a computer generated simulation of
our environment in a 3 dimensional image using modified electronic equipments.
Artificial intelligence and virtual reality are revolutionizing the education and healthcare system.
Day by day the technology being used keeps on advancing so as to better serve the students in the
classroom to help them improve in their education. And also in hospitals to improve the medical
services offered.
The adoption of artificial intelligence and virtual reality in schools and hospitals is on the rise,
doctors are looking for ways to solve the patient s problems through artificial intelligence and
virtual reality and also teachers are looking for ways to improve their student s grades and make
learning enjoyable and fun through the use of artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

years earlier, it has been said that in 1917, Canada was transformed from colony to nation on the
slopes of Vimy Ridge. Less well recognized is the important service of Canadas legal professionals
in that part of our history. This year will be different.
In April, Canadians will commemorate the uncommon service and sacrifice of the soldiers,
sailors, and airmen who left their families and occupations to serve in WWI generally and at
Vimy in particular. For the first time, in recognition of the remarkable service and leadership of
Canada s legal professionals, the Chief Justice of Canada and the Judge Advocate General of

40. The Importance Of Code Switching In Society
The way in which we talk to people is a defining factor in our lives. For example, if we know how
to use the right words around people, such as talking in a professional way for an interview, we
know that we have a better chance of being accepted by the group of people, or community, that
we are interacting with. Life is about connecting with others and the more efficiently we can
code switch, the more success we can have whether it be in a romantic relationship, interacting
with friends, or even talking to parents. Code switching is about the art of changing language to
conform to social situations. Changing language is not just about changing the verbal dialogue
in a situation. It is also about facial expressions and nonverbal cues as well. If someone is a
master at code switching, ultimately someone can prosper in life because they can easily
acclimate to the community they are conversing with. On a more personal level, I frequently code
switch between two different communities: my friends and my parents. With my parents, I talk in
a formal and polite type of way and when I am with friends, I talk more in slang. Both my parents
and my friends have unique characteristics that are part of a diverse community. Throughout my

42. St. Athanasius s On The Incarnation Of The Word
St. Athanasius is a notable Bishop of Alexandria, who wrote an Orthodox classic work named On
The Incarnation of the Word. This book s purpose is to clarify the legitimacy of the Incarnation of
Christ to non believers. He uses various scriptures, and teachings to further prove his argument.
Essentially, this classic work proved to be recognized by many groups of people, because of its
meticulous detail and explanations on the righteousness of Incarnation. St. Athanasius provides
clarification about Incarnation, and creates a defense against critics of Incarnation. He explains the
significance of mankind s creation and the original sin s effect on creation. St. Athanasius states that
humans were created in the Image of God to be aligned with God s will, and remain incorrupt.
Furthermore, man was created with a unique and special grace from God. However, mankind s
relationship with God was broken through the Fall, and death was the penalty. St. Athanasius
argues that because of the original sin, the Word took on human form in order to rescue mankind,
and grant salvation, so that death was no longer the penalty for sin. Out of God s love, he rescued
humanity from being corrupted. For example, this quote demonstrates his ultimate love, Naturally

(5) Printing The earliest printing in China was the block printing method in the first Century B.C.,
where the individual sheets of paper were pressed against wooden blocks that had text and
illustrations carved into them. This process could print hundreds and even thousands of copies,
this technology played a significant role in promoting the spread of culture. A block carver named
Bi Sheng made movable types with clay during the period from1004 to 1048. This method each
type was carved with one character and the types could be set independently according to contents
of different articles. After printing, the movable types could be reused and this improved
technology is called movable type printing. (LAN, 2008) (6) Row Planting
The Chinese also invented the way to grow crops by placing them in rows sometime in the 6th
century BC. This allowed the crops to grow faster and stronger. This was not instituted in the
western world for another 2200 years. Master Lu wrote in the Spring and Autumn Annals : If the
crops are grown in rows they will mature rapidly because they will not interfere with each other s
growth. The horizontal rows must be well drawn, the vertical rows made with skill, for if the lines
are straight the wind will pass gently through. This text was compiled around 240 BC. (Stevenh,

As stated there are many letters said to be written (ascribed) Paul, but were not. There are two
major categories: the undisputed letters of Paul and the disputed pseudonymous letters. Scholars
look at the style of the letter to determine if Paul wrote it. In order to decide whether the letter
was written by Paul or not you must look at history during the time of Paul s letters and compare
letters ascribed to Paul with letters written by others of the same time. According to our class
lecture, The Jewish War happened just as the letters of Paul were beginning to circulate and the
gospels were being written down. Therefore, an understanding of the Jewish war is essential to
understanding the New Testament. Scholars as well as Iliff students... Show more content on

The author of Colossians has experienced the resurrection of Christ. How can this be since the
undisputed letters indicate believers have not experienced the resurrection of Christ. Colossians
was written after the resurrection of Christ, therefore Paul did not write it (Ehrman, 444).
According to Ehrman, even more scholars are convinced that Ephesians was not written by Paul
just as Second Thessalonians and Colossians were not written by Paul. The primary issue with
Ephesians is the letter is written to the Saints in Ephesus (Eph1:1). When reviewing the best Greek
manuscripts of the letter it appears that scribes added this later. The original was to the saints who
are faithful. The change was so that those in Ephesus would think the letter was written directly to
them (Ehrman, 445). Undisputed One key characteristic of Paul s letters was they were written to
deal with different situations. On example is the disputes at Corinth. If you look at the undisputed
epistles, Paul is addressing issues in those churches. Those issues are wide ranging. Some of the
issues are theological issues and others of practical problems encountered during that day and time
in the church. Paul appears to write with an urgent need to address each one of

lt; Fried Kim chi gt;
There are some images associated with Korean food, but the most well known Korean food is
absolutely Kim chi. Kim chi is a traditional fermented Korean food. According to the Health
Magazine, Kim chi is one of the top 5 healthiest foods in the world. It has full of Vitamins A, B
and C. But since it is a fermented food, its biggest benefit is their healthy bacteria which are called
lactobacilli.(health.com) So, Kim chi by itself is just a pack of lots of good stuff and we can see
our ancestor s wisdom of keeping their body healthy from food. From the early stage that Korea
has been settled down, Kim chi has been served on Koreans ... Show more content on

So, if I make the fried Kim chi with the Kim chi from a market, it is just not tasty as much as the
one that my mom made. Yet, however the taste of it, every time I eat Kim chi, it reminds me of
my mom s caring for me and the fact that I am Korean. Because when she tried to make me eat
Kim chi, she always used to say like oh, Koreans should eat Kim chi. By that time, however, what
she said did not really come across my mind. Since all the people around me were Korean, I did
not really know what being Korea means. But now I am in America, and being Korean becomes
one of the unique characteristics that represent me.
Another reason why I pick specifically fried Kim chi instead of raw Kim chi is because of its
similar characteristics as mine. Fried Kim chi and I share similar contents in some ways. Fried
Kim chi is a transitional version of raw Kim chi. We can also say it has been a little bit
westernized since people put butter, cheese or whatsoever in it. For me, I have the similar
characteristic as it is since I have been living in western country for several years, and so have been
mixed with Korean culture and western culture at the same time.
The Last point that why Kim chi represents my cultural identity is because it is a side menu. Yes,
Kim chi is a side menu, not a main menu mostly. However even if it is a side menu, it is definitely
a must have dish for Koreans when they have meals. To talk about the America s Society for a little
bit,

46. Mystery Of The Mary Celeste
Mystery of The Mary Celeste
What Happened to Her Crew The Mystery of the Mary Celeste has been talked about for
centuries. Historical scholars have debated the events that lead to her crews mysterious
disappearance. Many books both non fiction and fiction have been written about her. Did an
explosion caused by her precious cargo cause her crew to abandon ship? Was there a violent sea
quake that made her immobile? Maybe the captain thought her hull was filling with water and
sinking after days of violent weather? Looking at each theory gives clues as to what really
happened to the Mary Celeste. The Mary Celeste began its fateful journey on November 7, 1872,
with her Capt. Benjamin Spooner Briggs, his wife, the couple s 2 year old ... Show more content on

The explosion theory; although far fetched, seems to be one very realistic cause of The Celeste s
abandonment. The main purpose of the Celeste s voyage was to deliver 1701 barrels of alcohol to
Genoa, which was used to fortify wine. Lee explains in his article for the ULC News that:
It seemed highly possible that the leaking alcohol caught light, sending Captain Briggs into a
panic and prompting the dreaded cry: Abandon ship! It was a plausible explanation but has
always been discounted because there was no sign of fire, or explosion. A blast of sufficient
magnitude to persuade an experienced captain to take the last resort of abandoning ship would
surely have left at least a few scorch marks on the wooden barrels, or in the hold (1). New
scientific techniques have been used to solve the great mystery. An experiment, conducted by a
scientist at UCL for a Channel 5, shows that an explosion may indeed be the key to the fate of
the brigantine and her crew (1). The experiment was conducted by a chemist from The University
of Los Angeles, California. Dr. Andrea Sella [UCL Chemistry] built a replica of the hold of the
Mary Celeste. Using butane gas, he simulated an explosion that would have been caused by the
leaking alcohol in the hull of the Mary Celeste.
He did not use wood barrels, instead he used cubes of paper. A huge blast was caused after he set
light to the gas; which sent a ball of flame upwards (1).

47. Race In Fellowship Of The Ring
In J.R.R Tolkien s novel The Fellowship of The Ring he demonstrates his use of hierarchy of
race causing the main character to be looked down upon and thought of as weak. Frodo is a
hobbit, known for their love of plant life and food. Frodo lived in the Shire with Bilbo, Sam, and
all the other hobbits. The entire Shire are a friend of Gandalf, as he finally arrives for Bilbo s
eleventy first birthday. As the party draws to a close Bilbo slips on a magical ring and vanishes
in front of everybody. Frodo returns to his home discovering the ring had been left to him.

the ring. Gandalf researches this ring and discovers it is the ring

48. Pure Econom Ic Loss And Consequential Economic Loss
There is a fundamental distinction between Pure Econom ic Loss and Consequential Economic
Loss, as Pure Eco nomic Loss occurs independent of any physical damage to the person or
property of the victim. What is common to both types of claims is that in order to successfully
claim or even have a leg to stand on there must be proof of a duty of care having been broken. As
long as you can show the defendant has breached their duty of care and you have suffered
foreseeable damage then you can recover. The problem with Pure Economic Loss is that the
classes of people who can recover is very limited. The Courts have tried to keep it this way in
order to keep the number of claimants as low as possible. The fear is that if claims for purely
economic loss are allowed then it would encourage more claims of this type. Chief Justice
Cardazo from America stated Recovery of economic loss in the absence of physical damage or
per sonal injury would expose defendants to liability in an in determinante time to an
indeterminante class. This general rule applies in Scotland, meaning that if there is no liability
for causing Pure Economic Loss, this is be cause of the Courts reluctance to open the floodgates
to an infinite number of claims. The rules for how the Courts respond to these claims are set out
in Common Law which has evolved over the years, where patterns have formed and have now
established one of the vital legal frame works for Delict Law in Scotland. A crucial case

49. E Business Vs. E Commerce
Introduction Today, it is hard to find a software that does not have some sort of access to users
information; going from their name to their credit card information. In fact, with the evolution of
technology (most importantly the increase in access to the internet), E business or E commerce
has been pushed to a new level. Today, customers want to be able to access services at anytime,
anywhere. This has led to the development of applications that can be executed on distributed
environment or in real time such as Web based applications or a Client server application. Hence,
secure software development is not an option but a must that software engineers have to put in
practice so that data integrity can be guaranteed to users. The... Show more content on

As a consequence, an increasing number of users and organizations have expressed the need of
more robust systems and applications. Hence, this fact implies incorporating an effective security
stage into the development life cycle in order to be able to efficaciously assess security issues.
Secure software development cycle not only encompass the development and the implementation of
a software but, also the processes that guaranty that a piece of software meets its requirement while
minimizing expositions to malicious threats that could expose users and minimizing the cost of
development (Microsoft.com) Planning and requirements Requirement analysis is probably the
most important and more complex process in the Software Development Life Cycle framework. In
Secure software development, senior developers, together with stakeholders, not only discuss the
fundamental of the SDLC such as project planning, assessing product feasibility studies and
management requirements, but also define set of activities to formalize the security requirements
for a specific product release (SafeCode source). These activities are defined using use cases,
strategic company security policies, defined security improvement goals and customers inputs. This
implies identifying functional and non functional requirements and applying a high risk assessment
on them in order to determine security risks and to prioritize security requirements as per threat and
risk

50. Taking a Look at the Western Shoshone Nation
Traditionally the Western Shoshone Nation s ancestral land covers an area spanning from southern
California, clear through Nevada, and barely touching southern Idaho. Within this scope of land is
the previously mentioned Yucca Mountain, but also Mount Tenabo, a mountain in the Cortez
Range of Northern Nevada, which is currently subject to mining. This large area of land is know as
the Great Basin, where the habitat is dependent on the rain and snow melt water which comes off
the high mountains, feeding the creeks which keep the living, living. Mount Tenabo is one such
mountain; however it also holds a place in Shoshonecreation stories, and is the site of ancient
burials causing it to be of great importance to the entire nation of the Western Shoshone. The people
of the Western Shoshone Nation still use the mountain to gather medical plants from these sacred
places of their ancestors, and hold ceremonies. In 1863 the elders of the Western Shoshone agreed
to the Ruby Valley Treaty, which recognized the Western Shoshone as the owners of the land,
though allowed non native Americans to use the land by payment of royalties to the nation.
However, by the 1900s this treaty was not respected by the Americans, and the Government took
over the land, and marked it for public use. The Western Shoshone have been pursuing legal action
against the United States government for the right govern their own land, and in 1976 a settlement
of $26 million was offered to the nation. This money

51. Senators Should Be Elected
Ruaa 9W
Oct.30 /2016
Senators should be Elected When they call the roll in the Senate, the senators do not know whether
to answer present or not guilty (Theodore Roosevelt/Google Images.) The Senate plays an
important role in the Canadian government. Canada s Senate today is made up of a variety of
backgrounds such as different cultures and religions. It also includes both men and women. The
Senate looks at the different issues that individuals or groups might have. They look at the
children, veterans, the poor, the elderly and much more. Senators look at issues in more depth.
When the House of Commons passes a bill, it must also pass a vote in the Senate before it
becomes a law. Canada s Senate consists of one hundred five politicians, ... Show more content on

People believe that senators should be elected not appointed. In Canada, the members that work
in the Senate are all established by the Prime minister. This system has been going on for many
years but Canadians think that the senators should be elected because many of the members lack
their jobs and many don t put their best effort into it. The Senate is run differently than the
House of Commons. In the Senate, there is no time limit for when the bill is do which gives
senators the freedom to take as much time needed to study the bill but sometimes senators take
advantages of that by not spending enough time on the bill and by not doing the best work. If
senators get elected they would be representing the people which means have bigger
responsibilities toward the people. Senators would want to do really good and work more
efficiently because they would want to be elected again in the next election. Senators jobs are
based on the different groups in society senators take a look at issues and bills that come from the
House of Commons in more depth. Canadians think that if senators were elected their main goal
would be pleasing the people which mean that they would work harder and more
