Essay on The Doctrine of the Lord s Supper
The Doctrine of the Lord s Supper
Introduction
I think that no doctrine inside Christianity was as arguably and problematic as the doctrine of the
Lord s Supper (Eucharistic). Not only that century old fighting s is going on around the text: This is
my body (1.Cor.11:24) between Roman Catholics and Protestants, but there is nonconformity
regarding the question among Protestants themselves. The first notification of the Lord s Supper
set a division among Christ s disciples, as they were shocked when Christ told them about the
suffering that He must go through, so they said: This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it? (John
6,60). The cause of this fighting is based on a question of understanding the nature of Christ s
presence in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The church itself, which participates sacramentaly in making individuals into Christians, realizes its
own being as church in the Eucharist.
To this statement I would add the words of professor Janos Pasztor: The sacrament of Lord s
Supper is not only an addition to the Church, but it is an energy of the Church that binds a
humanity with the Kingdom of God that will come.
In order to understand the meaning of Lord s Supper when we talk about Eschatology we will
talk about the Passover because Lord s Supper lies on its grounds. We will see what was the goal
in Christ s choosing the Passover to establish the Lord s Supper. First part of this paper will talk
about Passover in the Old Testament (its establishment, celebration and meaning) and in the New
Testament. In the second part we will talk about the Lord s Supper, its establishment, meaning,
names and connection with the Kingdom of God. Since the relationship between Lord s Supper
and Kingdom of God is faintly investigated, it would require much more space then we are able to
use in this paper, so because of the limited space we will concentrate on the, in my opinion, most
important elements.
The Passover in the Old Testament
The Passover is for the first time mentioned in the Bible in Exodus 12. In this chapter one event
is described which is placed before the Israelis coming out from the Egyptian bondage. In the Bible
we read (Genesis 46) that Jacob on a call of his son Joseph came to Egypt and

The Scratching Essay
It was was Chad s parent s anniversary so they went out for dinner and left Chad at home. They
told him he couldn t have any parties or get togethers , which was what he usually called his
parties, but they said he could have one person over, but no more than that. So he called his best
friend, Nick. They watched a movie, listened to music, did some homework, and watched the
news because there was nothing else on. There were a couple stories that caught their attention: a
shortage of cocoa beans which means there ll probably be less chocolate this Halloween, an
orangutang that spelled his own name using a tablet, strange stories of four people being killed on
separate occasions up by Lookout Ridge without leaving evidence as to what... Show more content

Let s go to Lookout Ridge and watch the sunset and the lights turn on. We haven t done that in a
while Nick pleaded. He was willing to do anything but go back home and do absolutely nothing.
Let s do it. I used to like going up there every Friday with your dad when we were in grade school
replied Chad, thinking about those days when Nick s dad would take them to ice cream and then
take them to that clearing on that cliff that overlooked their small town. They would watch the sun
set, and then all the street lights turn on in the city at their scheduled time. After half an hour of
country music and discussing their favorite football team and how much better they are than last
year, they pulled into the best park at Lookout Ridge. It was kind of hidden and surrounded by
trees without leaves, their branches stretched out over the car, forming what some would say looks
like a single car garage. There they sat and waited for the sunset. The temperature outside dropped
dramatically and clouds poured into the sky. They watched the sun hide itself behind the mountains
on the other side of the small valley that housed their town. Then, at the precise scheduled time, the
street lights scattered around the town turn on and light up the quickly darkening air. After
admiring the view for a long while, it started to rain, so they decided it was finally time to leave.
Chad put the car in reverse and started backing out. The car

Sleepless in Seattle a Film Directed by Nora Ephrons
There are times in life when love is taken for granted. People fall in love for many different
reasons, some for money, some for convenience and others simply because their family approves
of the marriage. Then there are those who fall in love because they truly are in love and have
found the love of their life. Does that only happen once in a lifetime? Most believe so, but for
some lovecan happen more than once. They say that, People who have truly loved once are more
likely to love again. (Fieldstone) For Annie Reed and Sam Baldwin searching for true love
becomes a journey that neither one are prepared for, but both blindly engage without realizing
where they are headed. Annie proclaims, What I really don t want to do is end up... Show more

Annie s transition begins while she is driving in the car and a talk show comes on. She finds
herself totally consumed by a young boy who has lost his mother and his father who is so
desperately grieving. She listens to Jonah and Sam on the radio and is taken up in the moment.
The writer uses many words repeatedly in this film all of which are an indication to what is
happening to the character. As she is listening to Sam speak about meeting his wife for the first
time, he says, I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like ...magic.
(IMDb) This word strikes a chord in her because she has heard this word before, when her
mother was speaking about meeting her father for the first time. She is beginning to see a
pattern. She mutters the word, Magic the same time Sam does. The seed is planted and now
will begin to grow. Sam sits on the bench with the phone next to his ear and speaks to Dr.
Fieldstone. Jonah has begun this conversation with his phone call into the radio station, however
now he sleeps on his father s lap. Sam continues to spill his heart out for all of America to hear.
Dr. Fieldstone asks Sam what was so special about his wife. He continues, Well, it was a million
tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were supposed to be together...
and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her.

The Horror Genre Essay
The Horror Genre
The horror genre is a topic that can be written or filmed about. In this essay, I will be
concentrating on films, and how the horror genre is included in them. The main ingredients in a
horror film are music, sound effects, lighting, camera trickery special effects and most importantly
a clever, catchy, scary script. But to make horror what it is, a director will include many other
things that create suspense and the eerie atmosphere of the scene, or simply make us cringe. The
prop are not just there to fill space, the costumes aren t chosen because the character had to wear
something or the film done at night because the filming finished late. I will explain the reasons these

The viewer will feel sorry for the victim, and feel hatred towards the murderer, getting him or her
involved in the film how often have you been watching a film and the person sat next to you
starts saying Yes! Yes! Kill him! or Don t be stupid! It s obvious he s guilty! I certainly have
(usually my mum). If the victim is female, she is often attractive, making male viewers like her
and then angry when she is killed, again getting angry with the murderer. Once a person has started
getting involved in a film, they won t want to stop watching it they ll want to see the guilty
murderer get caught, or killed.
Of course, in a horror film not all characters are real and nor are the events. Camera trickery,
special effects and make up add to the realism of a good horror film. The lighting adds emphasis
to make up, a character s personality or a frightening scene. If something surprising happens, such
as a hideous monster jumping out on someone, up lighting will be used. This is when the lights are
shone from the floor, up onto something, e.g.. under someone s chin. This causes no shadows on
the person s face, making it seem big and bright, thus often scary. This usually makes a person
jump, increasing the thrill of the film. Otherwise, down lighting can be used to make a person

Comparing The Logger Pro Software And Lab Pro Interface
Objective: The objective of the lab is to become familiar with the Logger Pro software and Lab
Pro interface in order to collect data. This lab will teach how to average constant data and find the
standard deviation, as well as how to use the Statistics and Linear Fit tools. It will also introduce
using Excel to create tables and graphs.
Theory: A thermometer, a device used to measure temperature, was used in this lab to collect data.
The thermometer works by reaching thermal equilibrium with the object that is being measured.
Heat transfers from the object with a higher temperature to the object with a lower temperature,
which causes the temperature reading on the thermometer to change. This can be described by
Newton s Law of Heating and Cooling, which states that the rate of an object s temperature change
is proportional to the difference between the object s temperature and the temperature of its
environment. This predication can be seen in the equation: О”T/О”t= k (T T0) (Equation 1) О”T
/О”t is the change is temperature over the change in time, and T0 is the temperature of the object.
The temperature will continue to change until a thermal equilibrium is reached. In this lab, the
temperature of the air (T0=Tair) and the temperature of a hand (T0=Thand) will be measured.
Procedure: A digital thermometer is connected to the Lab Pro interface, which allows the Logger
Pro software to collect data and show the readings on a graph on the computer. Room temperature is

Racing In The Streets Analysis
this essay will analyze Bruce Springsteen s, Racing in the Streets. The narrator opens with a
description of his sixty nine Chevy, also referred to as she . He uses fancy mechanical jargon to
do so, saying she has fulie heads and a hurst on the floor. His use of this language, though
unusual to a reader with an average knowledge of cars, is easily justified by his role as a racer
which is identified in the title, as well as later on in the stanza. In this first stanza, there is also
the image of the narrator, his partner Sonny, and the car which we learn they built straight out of
scratch. He says that he and his partner run for the money got no strings attached, and gives the
impression of being prideful at this. He also declares We shut em up and then we shut em down,
referring to any competition they face. There are very macho vibes here, and we get the feeling
that the narrator is someone who does not need to be tied down to anything or anyone, especially
in saying there are no strings attached. Having no strings attached could be the result of the fast
paced... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The more distressing parts of his life have been laid down bare for us to see, and as a result we
are prone to sympathize with the narrator as he moves to repair the damage that has been done.
He mentions that what is soon to follow is for all the shut down strangers and hot rod angels, the
people who won and those who lost. My baby and me we re gonna ride to the sea, and wash
these sins off our hands. Here the song has reached a climax of sorts, where the narrator reaches
out to the girl to undo what has been done and reestablish their relationship. They drive out
together to the sea, which arguable could have a religious connotation, a baptismal purification and
opportunity to start new. There is an open end here, for we know the sins of the narrator, him
ignoring his girl, but we don t have concrete evidence of her

Plato s Ideal City
The Ideal City In Plato s book Republic he describes what he thinks would be an ideal city, for
this city to be ideal it would have to be just. In his just city there are three classes of people; gold,
silver, and bronze/iron; known as the National Division of Labor. The guardians of the city are
placed in the gold category, the auxiliaries in the silver, and the farmers and craftsmen are in the
bronze/iron category. Plato argues that the National Division of Labor reflects the requirements of
nature and produces a harmonious whole. Wisdom, courage, moderation, and justice are the four
virtues that this ideal city must have to be just. The guardians, also known as philosopher kings,
being in the gold class of the city, are wise,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The city wouldn t be able to exist without the bronze/iron category; the farmers and craftsmen
grow all the food and make every product that is needed. If I had to choose which category I
would like to be in I would choose the bronze/iron category. I wouldn t prefer to be in the gold or
silver category because I wouldn t want my life completely controlled and not be able to have
any privacy. Having my life all about the rest of the city and having my life planned out isn t
something that I would enjoy, I would want to make my own decisions and not having them
made for me. Sure you could say that that is selfish and unjust but that is what would truly make
me happy. Plato says that to truly be happy that you have to flourish and thrive as opposed
having pleasure. I think that if I was in the bronze/iron class that I would flourish and thrive
because in that class I have more opportunities to succeed in different areas of life. In the bronze
/iron class you are able to live your own life, the life you want to live instead of being told what
to do and how to live every day. In this ideal and just city, everyone: the guardians, auxiliaries,
and farmers and craftsmen, have to do their own task, otherwise it wouldn t be just. The people in
these three classes all have to flourish and thrive in whichever class they are in. The guardians can

Chapter Guide for Twilight of Atheism
Justin Segovia
Fr. Denniston
Faith and Critical Reasoning
Chapter 1
The French Revolution was one of the first instances were the ideas of atheism were made public.
The Revolution led many of the clergy to be expelled from the state or killed.
After the Fall of Berlin Wall, atheism declined in popularity.
Russian Revolution continued what French Revolution started. People began to speak of atheism
outside of their own homes.
The classical version of atheism is vastly different than the atheism that is known today.
Some consider modern atheism as one of the greatest achievements of human intellect.
Immortalization in Greek myths meant infinite extension of existence, not the infinite projection of
moral ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A.C. Swinburne was more avant garde and aggressive in his approach to spreading atheism. He
visualized god as a birch wielding tyrant that oppresses humanity.
Swineburne believed that only the rejection of God would open the way to human self fulfillment.
By the middle of the Nineteenth Century Jesus was seen as a moral sage, or as a role model.
George Tyrrell was appalled that Jesus was seen as less captivating, but conceded that the Christ
was a pale reflection of his biblical self.
Chapter 6
Dostoyevsky was a Russian novelist that wrote on a fictional Russia that turned to atheism to solve
its problems.
While he showed attractive of that choice, he also presented some of its more troubling features.
His criticisms were directed more toward the world God supposedly created, more than critiquing
God himself.
Nietzsche emphasized that the belief in the Christian God became unbelievable.
Nietzsche admits that the realization that God is dead will travel slowly because it is just too
unthinkable .
For nihilism, a religious worldview is oppressive because it insists that we will be held accountable
for our actions.
In a nihilistic view, there are no sins, because nothing matters in the end.
Albert Camus argued that human life is rendered meaningless by death, which prevents the
individual from making sense of existence.

Fox News Article Analysis
Summary: I read two articles for this assignment; one was from The New York Times and the
other from Fox News. The New York Times is a mainly liberal news site, while Fox News is
very openly conservative. The subject of each of these articles focused on Ahmed Mohammed, of
Irving, Texas, a boy who built a functioning clock and brought it to show his engineering teacher,
and was later on in the day arrested for it by another teacher who suspected that it might have been
a bomb. This topic has been circle the news currently and Ahmed has gained support from Barack
Obama, Hillary Clinton, Mark Zuckerberg, and many other big names in power, politics, and
science. Reflection: Just as Americans in present day hold suspicion and stereotypes towards...

Fernandez and Hauser use many direct quotes from Ahmed Mohamed, Barack Obama, Josh
Earnest, Ahmed s father, and many others involved in this case. This source is very credible as
it is written by two authors, so it isn t hugely biased in anyway as it contains two individual
perspectives (however they are very similar perspectives). Because the story contains direct
quotes from different perspectives (i.e. the Irving police chief versus Josh Earnest) it shows the
whole story and not just one side of it. I initially chose this article only because I thought it was
such a pure and credible source. However I then decided to choose a source that was quite the
opposite so that I could obtain a better understanding of different perspective. The Fox News
article used many quotations from political figures and sources trying to condemn Ahmed. Some
of their quotes were very illogical and didn t have much to do with the situation. Former Alaska
governor Sarah Palin blasted Obama over his involvement in the clock controversy on Saturday,
saying in a Facebook post his remarks were about as presidential as a selfie stick. (Fox News). I
think that it s important to analyze two different perspectives regarding an issue, and all though
the article in the New York Times was far more credible, I learned more about the issue by reading

Gay marriage persuasive essay
Gay Marriage in the United States
The debate between whether gay marriage should be legalized or not has been a controversial
topic recently. In the past twelve years, equal marriage rights have been legalized in 6 states of the
U.S.. Eighteen states do not allow gay marriage and do not recognize civil unions. The other
twenty six states allow civil unions, and some are debating legalizing gay marriage. Gay marriage
should be legal across the United States.
Not allowing gay marriage in any state is unconstitutional. If one state is to allow gay marriage,
then the people that get married in that state are supposed to be legally married in all other states of

I, for one, would love to be there when the proponent of such an argument is to explain to his
post menopausal mother or impotent father that since they cannot procreate, they must now
surrender their wedding rings! That would be fun to watch! Again, such an argument fails to
persuade based on the marriages society does allow routinely, without even a second thought.
Same sex couples aren t the optimum environment in which to raise children. That s an
interesting one, in light of who society does allow to get married and bring children into their
marriage. Check it out: murderers, convicted felons of all sorts, even known child molesters are
all allowed to freely marry and procreate, and do so every day, with hardly a second thought by
these same critics. So if children are truly the priority here, why is this allowed? Why are the
advocates of this argument not working to prohibit the above categories of people from raising
children? The fact is that many gay couples raise children, adopted and occasionally their own
from failed attempts at heterosexual marriages. Lots and lots of scientific studies have shown that
the outcomes of the children raised in the homes of gay and lesbian couples are just as good as
those of straight couples. The differences have been shown again and again to be insignificant.
Psychologists tell us that what makes the difference is the

even stronger. Blood stained the wooden steps leading to basement. The walls had scratches all
up and down them. Some even contained what looked like human fingernails sticking out of
them. They made their way further down the steps. When they reached the bottom a faint light

were everywhere. Rats and other small rodents were running around on the blood stained floor.
Disappearing and reappearing through little holes in the walls. This doesn t feel right what so

silence filled the room. The only thing able to be heard was Joe and Jackie s faint breathing.

amounts of federal caseloads we need to adapt to a similar approach like the one specialized
federal courts use when deciding which cases to hear. According to Neubauer Meinhold (1991),
These courts are called specialized federal court because they are authorized to hear only a limited

How Was The Delian League Successful
Explain how successful the Delian League was.
The Delian League, an alliance of Greek city states with Athens as the leader, was proven to be
very successful during the Persian Wars.
After Persia endured a conclusive thrashing at Eurymedon (468 BC), numerous individuals upheld
disintegration of the league. Athens, in any case, which had benefitted incredibly from the league,
contended that the threat from Persia was not over. At the point when Naxos endeavored to
withdraw, Athens, taking the administration from the gathering, constrained (c.470 BC) Naxos to
hold dependability. Before long Thasos endeavored a similar move and was in like manner
repressed (463 BC) by the Athenian general Cimon. The Athenians were so effective in their points,

How Did The Crusades Affect The World
The crusades were a series of wars mainly between the Christians and Muslims over the holy city
of Jerusalem. The Crusades lasted some 200 years. The two religions didn t see eye to eye, the
Christians saw the Islamic religion as a threat to Christianity. In the year 1095 Pope Urban II
charged a crusade against the muslims in Jerusalem. Many people went on a crusade for different
reasons. Many were strictly religious, while others were money related, some even went to avoid
imprisonment. The Crusadesstill impact the world we live in today. There are many lasting effects
that the crusades had on that part of the world and some even worldwide.
The crusades are important because they were the first time that peoples religion caused them to
go to war. People were brainwashed into thinking that what they were doing was God s will.
People were driven to do things that were one hundred percent contradictory to their religions
teachings, the bible says thou shall not kill . The holy city of Jerusalem is an important place for
multiple religions. Two of the larger ones are Christianityand Islam. These two have many things
in common, their differences are quite minimal compared to other religions. One Pope declared the
crusade to regain the city for Christianity, and it caused not only 200 years of blood battles and

Benefits And Challenges Of Having A Diverse Work Force
With so many people entering the US from different backgrounds and different countries, and
with more woman entering the workforce, and a younger generations joining the workforce, it
is important for a company to be diverse among the many people working with in it. In this
essay, I will identify the benefits, and challenges of having a diverse work force and what I
believe a company could do to overcome the challenges of employing such a diverse amount of
employees. Having a diverse workforce is very important, people of different genders, age,
religion and ethnicity may all bring something to the table in their previous work experience.
When companies focus on having a diverse work force within their company, there is more
opportunity for enhanced creativity, better ideas, and increased productivity. When people of
different backgrounds work together, they each bring a different set of eyes, opinions, and
experiences to the table. A company benefits from the teamwork that all employees brainstorm
and do together. When a company employs people of different cultures, religions and languages,
they offer their customers a wider range of employees to interact with. Customer service is a very
important part aspect of a company, and if the customers are able to build a customer service
relations ship with someone similar to themselves, the customers may feel as if the company has
more to offer them then a competitor who does not have such a diverse work force. For example, an

Negative Impact Of Video Games
Video games can sometimes get a bad reputation but due to contrary belief, video games have been
a positive impact on today s society. Both children and adults have benefitted from the use of video
games. Not to mention the ginormous community video games have brought with it. With things
like Esports, video gamecompanies, and the cognitive benefits for adults and children video games
are here to stay. So how have they affected today s society in a positive way?
If you don t know, esports are multiplayer video games played competitively for spectators,
typically by professional gamers. It is broadcast worldwide similar to any major sports
competition. The esports industry has grown significantly in the past few years. In comparison,
the national league of legends competition has 27 million viewers. Based on an article by Ben
Casselman on ESPN, in 2014 this was the second most watched event on ESPN in 2014. Video
games are growing fast. Also in 2014, the video game industry alone added $6.2 billion to the U.S.
Economy, providing approximately 146,000 jobs. The culture of eSports is like nothing else.
eSports provides a community for people who don t have one, or maybe sit on their computers and
play video games all day. eSports has turned a community of nerds into something people are
actually taking seriously. eSports and the video game industry are not just here for entertainment,
but they are boosting the U.S. Economy, creating jobs for individuals, and establishing a

Implementing A Healthcare Information Infrastructure
CPOE Implementation Challenges
Many healthcare organizations remain focused on continually improving their operations to better
align with industry and government best practices. Specifically, the improvement in quality of
healthcare has gained interest among policy makers in recent years (Carlfjord, Lindberg, Bendtsen,
Nilsen Andersson, 2010, p. 1). This is likely because healthcare policy makers strive to overcome
some of the larger scale issues affecting the industry and patient care. One of the issues that
hospitals and other healthcare organizations want to correct is how many mistakes are made by
healthcare providers, as these errors negatively impact patient outcomes and open up healthcare
organizations for possible liability.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hospitals have begun implementing Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) systems
intended to streamline and computerize the process of maintaining patient records and prescribing
medications. These systems allow hospital administrators and healthcare professionals to quickly
access clinical guidelines, recommendations, patient information, and other factors critical to
patient care all at once. It was the intention of the hospital that the implementation and expense of
this new system would reduce the number of errors detected.
However, one case study at Springfield General Hospital demonstrated how sometimes these
implementation processes fail to make measurable improvements. In fact, at Springfield General
Hospital, the overall number of these types of mistakes increased after implementation instead of
reducing it. The hospital evaluated the situation and found glaring issues after its implementation of
its CPOE.
Implementation Challenges
In evaluating why the CPOE made the situation worse, first it is important to note that the
information listed within the system was not accurate. Healthcare providers relied upon the data
within the CPOE to make decisions in terms of dosage and possible medication interactions.
However, the dosages listed in the CPOE display, however, are based on the pharmacy s
warehousing and purchasing decisions, not clinical guidelines (Spector, 2013, p. 148). The

2.0 Brief explanation of the Taylorism
In late 1800s, Frederick Taylor found the scientific management theory that suggested how to make
the workplace more efficient and maximize productivity. Since this theory applied many industries,
including Ford Motor Company, it created ergonomics (or human factors), industrial mass
production furthermore assembly lines, yet some scholars believe this theory still exists nowadays.
According to Koumparoulis and Dimitrios (2012), Taylor s management theory is still relevant
today and despite of the location of organization, it helps shape of organization. Above mentioned
scholars also suggested that, regardless of the acceptance of workers, any type of business
organization wants to increase their productivity, they often implement Taylorism into the firm s
work place.
One of the key fundamentals of the Taylorism is reduce labour cost, which is applied in Call
centre. In general, call centre is designed to make more efficient communications, provide
satisfaction, helps to reduce any type of expenses related to the business and increase operational

What Is Phineas Gage Case
The Curious Case of Phineas Gage On the date of September 13th, 1848, one of the greatest
medical miracles in history occurred. Not only was this case amazing, it was sounded too
unbelievable to most and became liken into an old folk tale. However, this was no folk tale. The
story of the living mad with a rod in his head was true and it stunned the entire medical community.
This is the story of Phineas Gage. Working on a railroad is a dangerous job even in modern times.
Thousands of people are hurt either working on railroads or being around railroads each year
(Schottenstein, 2015). Therefore, as you can imagine, injuries and deaths were happening at an
even higher rate in the 1800s. Phineas Gage was a railroad worker doing a job in Vermont... Show

Gage did, according to Harlow, retain full possession of his reason after the accident, but his wife
and other people close to him soon began to notice dramatic changes in his personality (Constandi,
2006). Brain injury can often cause this type of personality change. It has been documented in
many different cases. However, post injury personality changes also meant that we dealt with
bouts of intense anger, confusion, and unpredictable behavior (Cromer, 2012). These types of
personality can differ, however they are usually negative. This was seen in the case of Phineas
Gage. Sadly his personality and temperament wasn t the only thing that changed. Before the
accident he was considered as one of the best workers on the job site (Constandi, 2006).
However, after the injury, he could hardly work. (Constandi, 2006). His contractors, who
regarded him as the most efficient and capable foreman in their employ previous to his injury,
considered the change in his mind so marked that they could not give him his place again. He is
fitful, irreverent, indulging at times in the grossest profanity (which was not previously his
custom), manifesting but little deference for his fellows, impatient of restraint of advice when it
conflicts with his desires, at times pertinaciously obstinent, yet capricious and vacillating,
devising many plans of future operation, which are no sooner arranged than they are abandoned
in turn for others appearing more feasible. In this regard, his mind was radically changed, so
decidedly that his friends and acquaintances said he was no longer Gage. (Constandi, 2006). He
sadly resorted to using his injury as an attraction to make money. He began traveling to do
appearances so that people could see the injury and pay him for the entertainment (Constandi,
2006). He even decided to join up with the circus for a short period of time

The U.S. Free-Enterprise Economy Essay
The United States is known for having a free enterprise economy where a business can be
conducted freely without government involved. In free enterprise economies, goods and services
are traded openly and are produced depending on the demand. People who support this type of
economy believe it motivates businesses to make money and welcome new ideas. An important
part of the economy is to have full employment and low inflation. Keynesianism and monetarism
are both ways to stabilize the economy and promote growth when need. In keynesianism,
government uses fiscal policy which is a list of policies that government spending and taxing can be
used to improve the performance of an economy. The government produces stabilization by taxing

This policy is results in faster results to speed up the economy for the short term. Fiscal Policy is
later used to develop a plan of yearly actions and is a long term way to stabilize the economy. The
next idea to stabilize the economy is a theory called monetarism which is the belief that if
government did not interfere with the market economy that employment would be high and
inflation low. Followers believe the government is the reason of downturns such as the recent
recession. Both of these policies, keynesianism and monetarism are important and supported by the
citizens. These ideas of how economy should be conducted both want to ensure a stable economy
for the people. That s where comparisons end and differences began. Monetarists want absolute
freedom in the economy from government interference. They insist that Keynesianism causes the
downturns because government it so worried about stabilizing the economy and doesn t let it fully
growth. Keynestists believe government should help aid the economy and can track it s progress.
Therefore a more structured policy is in place to provide aid in keeping stability from outside
interferences. Without the government watching, numerous problem can arise such are large

Nazi Germany And Its Detrimental Effects On The Social...
When looking into the history of Germany and determining what led to the startling rise in
Nazism in Germany and its detrimental effects on the social outcasts in Europe, it can be easy to
deduce that the Nazi regime was one where Hitler walked in with his officials and took office by
force. The truth is that, while the Nazi partyis responsible for the atrocities that occurred before
and during WWII, they would have not gotten far if it hadn t been for the cooperation of the
German people themselves. Life in the Third Reich provides proof through voting, youth programs
and village life that the Nazi party rose into power with German support. In Village Life in Nazi
Germany, essayist Gerhard Wilke discusses the rise of Nazismin the small village of Korle,
discussing how with the rapid political changes in Germany from an empire to a democratic
nation also affected the power balances of small villages. Despite the efforts of the older
generations to keep some sort of semblance of the old traditions, it was their children who wanted
change and found themselves attracted to Nazism and formed the first local branch of the party in
1928. The reason for this, Wilke says is that they wanted radical solutions to three existential and
ideological problems: the survival of their generation as independent farmer, the preservation of
their political dominance, and the suppression of their enemies (The Jews and the working class).
And the youth of villages came together in

Essay on The Triangular Silas Marner
The Triangular Silas Marner
As a result of betrayal, Silas Marner of George Eliot s so titled novel becomes a man in body
without incurring any of the duties normally associated with nineteenth century working class
adults. Eliot creates these unusual circumstances by framing our title hero so it appears to his
comrades that he has stolen money. Thereby, she effectively rejects innocent Marnerfrom his
community and causes him to lose his fiancГ©. At this pivotal moment in Marner s life, just as he
is about to assume fully the role of a man, depended upon as such by his neighbors, future wife and
probable children, he is excised and does not successfully complete the transformation. Accordingly,
he moves on to a new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, I do not think that Silas Marner s endorsement of family values is nearly as
straightforward as Nunokawa makes it out to be. In fact, Eliot s stance on the family unit is three
pronged. Nunokawa s reduction of Silas Marner to a dichotomy ignores the middle ground that
Eliot ultimately recommends as the key to a life with a happy ending.
In order to demonstrate this, I must first show that none of the families in Silas Marner (with the
exception of Silas own) are totally happy. In accord with Nunokawa, I will start with the
uncomplicated melancholy of Squire Cass male only family. Eliot candidly tells her reader that
Red House [the Squire s residence] was without the presence of the wife and mother which is the
fountain of wholesome love and fear in parlour and kitchen (Eliot 22). Immediately, Eliot prepares
her reader for an unhappy, incomplete group of inhabitants. The only scene between father and
eldest son is both awkward and unkind, showing the attitude of life within the motherless house.
The one scene in the novel between two brothers, Godfrey, the eldest, and his next younger brother,
Dunsey, mocks the notion of brotherly love, depicting it as actually blackmail via brotherly
knowledge (Eliot 24).
The brother scene calls to mind the next well respected family in Raveloe, the Lammeters.

They strive best in cool climates with some moisture. They need well drained, loamy and fertile
soil to grow sufficiently. These conditions make Canadian grounds a very difficult place to grow
mustard. Since we have a climate that fluctuates between seasons, the only months that we are
able to host the breeding of mustard is in the fall seasons. This time period is not enough for
mustard to grow to its maximum potential and is far from efficient. After conducting some
research, I do not believe that Canadian farmers should continue to grow mustard because it is
putting a strain on the Canadian economy. This is because farmers who are planting mustard are
not receiving high rates of crop returns due to the unfavourable climate conditions, as a result they
are not able to supply the anticipated amounts of mustard and can not earn their maximum profit.
Canadian governments are gaining a bad reputation from the mustard shortage because the
demanded amount of mustard is not being satisfied with the scarce supply of mustard.
Consumers are also also upset because prices of mustard are higher than what it was before this
mustard crisis, therefore many want the product, but are not able to afford it. Businesses are also
angry because they now have to pay more for the price of mustard and have to compete against
other businesses for the supply of mustard and are losing consumers because they are being pushed
to raise the prices of their goods. Therefore, they are not able to meet their maximum potential
because mustard is at disequilibrium, since demand exceeds

Abstract
In here we look at Alders Individual Psychology, about what Alfred Adlermeans by Individual

Alfred Adler A Brief Look
Alfred Adler (1870 1937), was an Austrian physician, who was an early associate of Sigmund Freud
. But as years went by, he broke away from Freud because he came to a state of believing that
Freud was overemphasizing the psychosexual perspective and also that he ignored other influences.

Fixed Rate Mortgage Loans
When shopping for a mortgage loan, the first thing to consider is which type of mortgage is
right for you. Mortgage loans come in two basic categories, fixed rate and adjustable rate; but
within these two categories, there are several other possible loan types that many consumers
mistakenly don t take the proper time to educate themselves about. In this article, we will be
addressing fixed rate loans. Most people know what the terms of a fixed rate mortgage entails;
basically, the interest rate remains stable over the life of the loan. Fixed rate loans generally
come in both a 15 year and 30 year term. Recently, some lenders also began offer both 10 year
and 40 year terms as well. So which term is better? That really depends on the borrower. Shorter
terms will have a higher payment... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The payment on this loan for a 30 year, fixed rate loan would be $536.82 per month. Generally,
the shorter the term the lower the rate, so the payment for the same $100,000 loan on a 15 year,
fixed rate at an interest rate of 4.75% would be $777.83 per month or $241.01 higher than the 30
year loan. Some people that can afford the 15 year rate might opt to pay the extra $241.01 and
pay off their mortgage in half the time, the only problem with this is once you sign up for the 15
year term you must make this payment each and every month. If the extra $241.01 becomes
difficult to make no matter what the reason, the only way to reduce the payment is to refinance
the property. However, knowing this loan has no prepayment penalty in part means if you opt

The Is Not Healthcare Vending Machines
The technology promises seemingly limitless possibilities. Robots are already living among us,
controlling your refrigerator, your smart phone, your personal computer and even your car. Some
technology advancements sound far fetched to contemporary ears, and many people hesitate at
the prospect of adopting them. Nonetheless should we embrace a cyborg future in which tasks
great and small are carried out by robots? As robots are becoming increasingly common in human
environments, people will be presented with more opportunities in addition existing jobs in
healthcare may be replaced by software, humanoid robots and smart machines by the year 2025.
And there are two WORDS with various opinions on this prospect. Doctors are not healthcare
vending machines, but professionals who understand the difference between negative rights, such
as the right to refuse treatment . (Cheshire, JR., MD). Physicians, nurses and other healthcare
workers are professionals. A healthcare professional, by contrast, undergoes many years of
demanding training and sacrifice, develops a practice, and pursues a vocation for the purpose of
serving others. Professionals declare that they are competent and willing to care for the sick, and
they commit to healing as their way of life. Smart machines and robots are service providers.
Professionals are not the same as service providers. Moreover to knowledge, professionalism
consists of technical skills as well. A case in point includes the exquisite

History Of The Old West
It would be almost impossible to write the history of the Old West without giving credit to the
Hispanic people who influenced its customs, culture, towns, and lives. The contributions of
Hispanics to the evolution and success of America are woven into almost every portion of the
nation s history. To visualize America untouched by Latinos is to imagine a country without much
of its folklore and many of its achievements. The United Stateshas a rich history that goes back over
200 years. Hispanics have always played vital roles in building this country and making it a better
place. From the Revolutionary War that freed the United States from England to the Persian Gulf
War, Latinos have proudly served this country in the Armed Forces. And throughout U.S. history,
Latinos have prominently participated in building the West; in medicine and science; in
entertainment, business, education, civil rights, and politics; and in the great American pastime of
baseball. In Hispanichistory, as in every variety of Western history, one never has the luxury of
taking point of view for granted. Hispanics like Indians, Anglos, and every other group could be
victims as well as victimizers, and the meanings of the past could be seen, at times, to be riding a
seesaw ( Limerick, 257). When the colonies on the East Coast of what became the United States
rebelled against England, Hispanics played a pivotal role. As Governor of the Louisiana Territory,
General Bernardo de GГЎlvez sent

Treatment And Treatment Of Dialysis Treatment
Under normal conditions, your kidneys are responsible for multiple functions such as cleaning
blood, producing hormones, balancing electrolytes, and maintaining blood pressure in the body.
When the kidneys fail, blood pressure will rise, wastes/toxins will remain in the body s
circulation, and the body will retain excess water which can lead to inadequate production of red
blood cells (Source 6). These symptoms of kidneyfailure are a medical emergency and call for
intervention such as a kidney transplant. The wait for a kidney can be lengthy; therefore a process
known as dialysiscan be a life sustaining measure until a suitable donor is matched. Dialysis has
been found to temporarily alleviate the condition, but only for an average... Show more content on

Once the Dialysis filters the blood, the clean blood is returned to the patient through another tube
that s injected into the patient (Picture A). Even though this procedure is done under supervision
in the security of a hospital and does a more than adequate job of performing the functions of a
normal kidney, there are some disadvantages. For one, the dialysis process is a very strict and
time consuming. The schedule requires treatment 3 times a week for 4 5 hours (Source 6). This
time commitment will most likely to be very inconvenient and make the previous life style of the
patient difficult. Secondly, if proper cleansing routines are not followed, it is also possible for the
patient to receive an infection. A third disadvantage is the constant insertion of needles into the
patient which can not only cause infection/irritation if the needles are unsterile, but can lead to
stress for the patient if they have a fear of them. Another disadvantage is that patients often report
increased itchy skin, of which there has yet to be found a soothing remedy. A fifth disadvantage is
that some patients on dialysis establishing insomnia/restless leg syndrome, which can lead to sleep
apnea, headache, depression, and decreased alertness (Source 2). However, unlike the itchy skin,
the symptom of insomnia has multiple effective treatments. A final disadvantage of hemodialysis is

Andrew Niccol co wrote the script with Stephanie Meyer. His films ground rules limit the depth
and variety of possible relationships, and The Host is top heavy with profound, deep
conversations, all tending to sound like farewells. This movie really opens your eyes to how two

Margaret Atwood Film Techniques
Costume Design is one of the most important factors in the filmmaking process. A single piece of
clothing can change the audiences perception of a character. Contemporary films use costume
design in a way to create a realistic and familiar setting, while period dramas or films from
another time use it as a way to shape a character. Throughout the years, the approach to costume
design has evolved but the heart of it has never wavered. Films are affected greatly by the use of
clothingand costume design, leaving a great responsibility on the shoulders of the designer.

costumes as well with the CGI process. This meant working with oddly shaped characters and
needing to create virtual fabrics, trims, and buttons. Getting to explore and adventure into the world

Multiple Birth Research Paper
Pregnancy is a new stage in a woman s life that can involve a number of complexities, which can
affect the mother or baby, or both. Multiple birth is a complexity of pregnancy that is becoming
increasingly more prevalent in today s society. The incidence of multiple birth has a great effect on
the mother and offspring, not only physically but also socially and emotionally. These effects
include emotional instability as a result of child maltreatment, the increased risk of congenital
malformation causing emotional and social problems and a wider social impact on the health care
system.

The incidence of congenital malformations in multiple births is up to 4 times higher than that of
singleton births (Menasinkai Chiniwar, 2013). Corsello and GiuffrГЁ (2012) define congenital
malformations as single or multiple defects of the morphogenesis of organs or body districts
identifiable at birth or during intrauterine life. The whole family and their quality of life are
impacted when a child is born with birth defects, particularly emotionally. Parents of children
with congenital malformations face a unique challenge in adjusting and learning to care for them
appropriately. Post diagnosis of congenital malformation, the parents often go through the typical
stages of grief very similar to if they had lost the child. This is recognized as a part of the process
and it is normal for parents to mourn the loss of what they expected to be a healthy child
(Lemacks, Fowles, Mateus, Thomas, 2013). The parent s emotional and mental health can be
adversely impacted and as a result suffer depression and anxiety, which can have a devastating
effect on the entire family (Song et all., 2012). Siblings and parent s interaction outside the family
can be hugely affected with parents frequently being unable or unwilling to take part in particular
social activities. Grief counseling is shown to help

The Origin Of Tourism During The Twentieth Century
The tourism from its beginning has manifested itself over the centuries in different shades, but the
greatest common denominator was the movement of people to meet their needs. As claimed by
Graburn (1983, quoted in Shaprley, 2008, pp. 1 23), Tourism cannot be viewed as one monolithic,
static sort of phenomenon . The history of tourismopened with a restricted number of tourists who
could afford to travel for the purpose of leisure and pleasure, in particular during the seventieth and
eighteenth centuries with the Grand Tour and development of spas. Over the nineteenth century,
the figure of Thomas Cook laid the foundations for tourism understood as a mass phenomenon.
However with the arrival of mass tourism in the twentieth century marked the watershed between
the elitism of the previous centuries and the tourism accessible to the masses. As argued by Towner
(1995, pp. 340) tourism over the latter half of the twentieth century spreading socially from the
upper classes, down through the middle ranks and ultimately to the mass working classes . This
essay looks in particular the events that have revolutionized the make tourism by European tourist
during the twentieth century. It also looks to the influences that the trends examined had on tourist
behavior and his openness to new habits in relation to the management of his leisure time. The
impact of these innovations towards the concept of tourism in a contemporary way will be analyses

Italy s Political And Economic On Going Crisis
Question 1 Italy will be hosting a Renzi fied constitutional referendum this upcoming 4th of
December and expect their voters to decide whether they approve of altering the constitution to
restructure the legislative process by effectively reducing the upper chamber s power.
Constitutional reform, with an exact motive to deprive the Senate of power, has been a desired
goal since WW2. Italy s political and economic on going crisis has incentivized the Parliament to
implement new enactments and thus far none of these laws have been effectively executed because
of the legislatures intracameral conflict. Italy s method of navette has failed to resolve policy
differences within the legislature with a never ending shuttle back and forth and thus has held the
country captive in an ungovernable state. Ergo, Renzi believes the right path in his plan to stabilize
the government is to change Italy s 56 year old constitution.
Italy s parliament is structured under a symmetrical bicameral legislature with two chambers:
Chamber of Deputies(hereafter referred to as lower house) and the Senate of the Republic(upper
house). In order for a bill to be implemented, both houses have to approve the bill similarly,
therefore without the confidence of both houses, attempts at implementing laws will continuously
fail. Italy s bicameral system is placed in the upper left of the two dimensional chart because of the
Senate s position as a frail political actor, therefore marking its system as

Lord Byron Obstacles
During the Romantic Era, Lord Byron was figuring out how to overcome his hardships and guilt.
Byron knew people wouldn t understand his unconventional lifestyle or his depression; so he
wrote poetry that would spark people s emotions. Writing became his only hiding place from the
outside world. His poetryreflects his hardships, guilt and depression that he tried so hard to escape,
but never could. Byron s childhood, many escapades, and travels would come to influence his
poetry. It is beyond question that Byron s poetry reflected his life and emotions.
Byron had many hardships throughout his childhood. One of them being his foot. Byron was born
with a right clubfoot (Willis 7). This caused him to go through years of torment by his peers. The...

She catches your eye, and you can t believe how beautiful she is. As she walks past you, you can
t help but take notice of how dark her hair is and how it s the perfect contrast with her light skin.
She is not just a beautiful face though she radiates her happiness and innocence with the grace in
her walk. In the poem She Walks in the Beauty Byron describes his mystery women similar to
this. In the first stanza, he compares the women to the night. In the second stanza, he is
explaining how the balance of her beauty is one shade the more, one ray the less meaning that
her beauty is perfectly balanced. The final stanza shows how her beauty reflects her innocence
and goodness as a person ( She Walks in Beauty ). Byron is so intrigued by the women that he
starts to mix up his senses the line Thus mellowed to that tender light illustrates how Byron is
confusing tender and light. Byron is describing the light as tender which would be a synesthesia,
because tender is a sense of touch and light is sense of sight. In line eighteen, Byron uses her
heart to represent her as a whole person, he says A heart whose love is innocent! ( She Walks in
Beauty ). Byron is using her heart to describe how she is innocent as a person this would be a
synecdoche. The rhyme scheme is ABABAB the reason Byron did this was that the poem was
originally supposed to be sung ( She Walks in the Beauty Analysis ). The tone of this poem would
be how men

  • 2. Essay on The Doctrine of the Lord s Supper The Doctrine of the Lord s Supper Introduction I think that no doctrine inside Christianity was as arguably and problematic as the doctrine of the Lord s Supper (Eucharistic). Not only that century old fighting s is going on around the text: This is my body (1.Cor.11:24) between Roman Catholics and Protestants, but there is nonconformity regarding the question among Protestants themselves. The first notification of the Lord s Supper set a division among Christ s disciples, as they were shocked when Christ told them about the suffering that He must go through, so they said: This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it? (John 6,60). The cause of this fighting is based on a question of understanding the nature of Christ s presence in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The church itself, which participates sacramentaly in making individuals into Christians, realizes its own being as church in the Eucharist. To this statement I would add the words of professor Janos Pasztor: The sacrament of Lord s Supper is not only an addition to the Church, but it is an energy of the Church that binds a humanity with the Kingdom of God that will come. In order to understand the meaning of Lord s Supper when we talk about Eschatology we will talk about the Passover because Lord s Supper lies on its grounds. We will see what was the goal in Christ s choosing the Passover to establish the Lord s Supper. First part of this paper will talk about Passover in the Old Testament (its establishment, celebration and meaning) and in the New Testament. In the second part we will talk about the Lord s Supper, its establishment, meaning, names and connection with the Kingdom of God. Since the relationship between Lord s Supper and Kingdom of God is faintly investigated, it would require much more space then we are able to use in this paper, so because of the limited space we will concentrate on the, in my opinion, most important elements. The Passover in the Old Testament The Passover is for the first time mentioned in the Bible in Exodus 12. In this chapter one event is described which is placed before the Israelis coming out from the Egyptian bondage. In the Bible we read (Genesis 46) that Jacob on a call of his son Joseph came to Egypt and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They told him he couldn t have any parties or get togethers , which was what he usually called his parties, but they said he could have one person over, but no more than that. So he called his best friend, Nick. They watched a movie, listened to music, did some homework, and watched the news because there was nothing else on. There were a couple stories that caught their attention: a shortage of cocoa beans which means there ll probably be less chocolate this Halloween, an orangutang that spelled his own name using a tablet, strange stories of four people being killed on separate occasions up by Lookout Ridge without leaving evidence as to what... He was willing to do anything but go back home and do absolutely nothing. Let s do it. I used to like going up there every Friday with your dad when we were in grade school replied Chad, thinking about those days when Nick s dad would take them to ice cream and then take them to that clearing on that cliff that overlooked their small town. They would watch the sun set, and then all the street lights turn on in the city at their scheduled time. After half an hour of country music and discussing their favorite football team and how much better they are than last year, they pulled into the best park at Lookout Ridge. It was kind of hidden and surrounded by trees without leaves, their branches stretched out over the car, forming what some would say looks like a single car garage. There they sat and waited for the sunset. The temperature outside dropped dramatically and clouds poured into the sky. They watched the sun hide itself behind the mountains on the other side of the small valley that housed their town. Then, at the precise scheduled time, the street lights scattered around the town turn on and light up the quickly darkening air. After admiring the view for a long while, it started to rain, so they decided it was finally time to leave. Chad put the car in reverse and started backing out. The car ... • 4. Sleepless in Seattle a Film Directed by Nora Ephrons There are times in life when love is taken for granted. People fall in love for many different reasons, some for money, some for convenience and others simply because their family approves of the marriage. Then there are those who fall in love because they truly are in love and have found the love of their life. Does that only happen once in a lifetime? Most believe so, but for some lovecan happen more than once. They say that, People who have truly loved once are more likely to love again. She finds herself totally consumed by a young boy who has lost his mother and his father who is so desperately grieving. She listens to Jonah and Sam on the radio and is taken up in the moment. The writer uses many words repeatedly in this film all of which are an indication to what is happening to the character. As she is listening to Sam speak about meeting his wife for the first time, he says, I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like ...magic. (IMDb) This word strikes a chord in her because she has heard this word before, when her mother was speaking about meeting her father for the first time. She is beginning to see a pattern. She mutters the word, Magic the same time Sam does. The seed is planted and now will begin to grow. Sam sits on the bench with the phone next to his ear and speaks to Dr. Fieldstone. Jonah has begun this conversation with his phone call into the radio station, however now he sleeps on his father s lap. Sam continues to spill his heart out for all of America to hear. Dr. Fieldstone asks Sam what was so special about his wife. • 5. The Horror Genre Essay The Horror Genre The horror genre is a topic that can be written or filmed about. In this essay, I will be concentrating on films, and how the horror genre is included in them. The main ingredients in a horror film are music, sound effects, lighting, camera trickery special effects and most importantly a clever, catchy, scary script. But to make horror what it is, a director will include many other things that create suspense and the eerie atmosphere of the scene, or simply make us cringe. The prop are not just there to fill space, the costumes aren t chosen because the character had to wear something or the film done at night because the filming finished late. Yes! Kill him! or Don t be stupid! It s obvious he s guilty! I certainly have (usually my mum). If the victim is female, she is often attractive, making male viewers like her and then angry when she is killed, again getting angry with the murderer. Once a person has started getting involved in a film, they won t want to stop watching it they ll want to see the guilty murderer get caught, or killed. Of course, in a horror film not all characters are real and nor are the events. Camera trickery, special effects and make up add to the realism of a good horror film. The lighting adds emphasis to make up, a character s personality or a frightening scene. If something surprising happens, such as a hideous monster jumping out on someone, up lighting will be used. This is when the lights are shone from the floor, up onto something, e.g.. under someone s chin. This causes no shadows on the person s face, making it seem big and bright, thus often scary. This usually makes a person jump, increasing the thrill of the film. Otherwise, down lighting can be used to make a person ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Comparing The Logger Pro Software And Lab Pro Interface Objective: The objective of the lab is to become familiar with the Logger Pro software and Lab Pro interface in order to collect data. This lab will teach how to average constant data and find the standard deviation, as well as how to use the Statistics and Linear Fit tools. It will also introduce using Excel to create tables and graphs. Theory: A thermometer, a device used to measure temperature, was used in this lab to collect data. The thermometer works by reaching thermal equilibrium with the object that is being measured. Heat transfers from the object with a higher temperature to the object with a lower temperature, which causes the temperature reading on the thermometer to change. This can be described by Newton s Law of Heating and Cooling, which states that the rate of an object s temperature change is proportional to the difference between the object s temperature and the temperature of its environment. This predication can be seen in the equation: О”T/О”t= k (T T0) (Equation 1) О”T /О”t is the change is temperature over the change in time, and T0 is the temperature of the object. The temperature will continue to change until a thermal equilibrium is reached. In this lab, the temperature of the air (T0=Tair) and the temperature of a hand (T0=Thand) will be measured. Procedure: A digital thermometer is connected to the Lab Pro interface, which allows the Logger Pro software to collect data and show the readings on a graph on the computer. Room temperature is ... He uses fancy mechanical jargon to do so, saying she has fulie heads and a hurst on the floor. His use of this language, though unusual to a reader with an average knowledge of cars, is easily justified by his role as a racer which is identified in the title, as well as later on in the stanza. In this first stanza, there is also the image of the narrator, his partner Sonny, and the car which we learn they built straight out of scratch. He says that he and his partner run for the money got no strings attached, and gives the impression of being prideful at this. He also declares We shut em up and then we shut em down, referring to any competition they face. The guardians of the city are placed in the gold category, the auxiliaries in the silver, and the farmers and craftsmen are in the bronze/iron category. Plato argues that the National Division of Labor reflects the requirements of nature and produces a harmonious whole. I think that if I was in the bronze/iron class that I would flourish and thrive because in that class I have more opportunities to succeed in different areas of life. George Tyrrell was appalled that Jesus was seen as less captivating, but conceded that the Christ was a pale reflection of his biblical self. Because the story contains direct quotes from different perspectives (i.e. the Irving police chief versus Josh Earnest) it shows the whole story and not just one side of it. I initially chose this article only because I thought it was such a pure and credible source. However I then decided to choose a source that was quite the opposite so that I could obtain a better understanding of different perspective. The Fox News article used many quotations from political figures and sources trying to condemn Ahmed. Some of their quotes were very illogical and didn t have much to do with the situation. The other twenty six states allow civil unions, and some are debating legalizing gay marriage. Gay marriage should be legal across the United States. That would be fun to watch! Again, such an argument fails to persuade based on the marriages society does allow routinely, without even a second thought. Same sex couples aren t the optimum environment in which to raise children. That s an interesting one, in light of who society does allow to get married and bring children into their marriage. Check it out: murderers, convicted felons of all sorts, even known child molesters are all allowed to freely marry and procreate, and do so every day, with hardly a second thought by these same critics. So if children are truly the priority here, why is this allowed? Why are the advocates of this argument not working to prohibit the above categories of people from raising children? The fact is that many gay couples raise children, adopted and occasionally their own from failed attempts at heterosexual marriages. Implementing A Healthcare Information Infrastructure CPOE Implementation Challenges Many healthcare organizations remain focused on continually improving their operations to better align with industry and government best practices. Specifically, the improvement in quality of healthcare has gained interest among policy makers in recent years (Carlfjord, Lindberg, Bendtsen, Nilsen Andersson, 2010, p. 1). This is likely because healthcare policy makers strive to overcome some of the larger scale issues affecting the industry and patient care. One of the issues that hospitals and other healthcare organizations want to correct is how many mistakes are made by healthcare providers, as these errors negatively impact patient outcomes and open up healthcare organizations for possible liability.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hospitals have begun implementing Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) systems intended to streamline and computerize the process of maintaining patient records and prescribing medications. These systems allow hospital administrators and healthcare professionals to quickly access clinical guidelines, recommendations, patient information, and other factors critical to patient care all at once. It was the intention of the hospital that the implementation and expense of this new system would reduce the number of errors detected. However, one case study at Springfield General Hospital demonstrated how sometimes these implementation processes fail to make measurable improvements. In fact, at Springfield General Hospital, the overall number of these types of mistakes increased after implementation instead of reducing it. The hospital evaluated the situation and found glaring issues after its implementation of its CPOE. Implementation Challenges In evaluating why the CPOE made the situation worse, first it is important to note that the information listed within the system was not accurate. Healthcare providers relied upon the data within the CPOE to make decisions in terms of dosage and possible medication interactions. However, the dosages listed in the CPOE display, however, are based on the pharmacy s warehousing and purchasing decisions, not clinical guidelines (Spector, 2013, p. 148). The warehousing and ... Not only was this case amazing, it was sounded too unbelievable to most and became liken into an old folk tale. However, this was no folk tale. The story of the living mad with a rod in his head was true and it stunned the entire medical community. This is the story of Phineas Gage. Working on a railroad is a dangerous job even in modern times. Thousands of people are hurt either working on railroads or being around railroads each year (Schottenstein, 2015). Therefore, as you can imagine, injuries and deaths were happening at an even higher rate in the 1800s. Phineas Gage was a railroad worker doing a job in Vermont... Gage did, according to Harlow, retain full possession of his reason after the accident, but his wife and other people close to him soon began to notice dramatic changes in his personality (Constandi, 2006). Brain injury can often cause this type of personality change. It has been documented in many different cases. However, post injury personality changes also meant that we dealt with bouts of intense anger, confusion, and unpredictable behavior (Cromer, 2012). These types of personality can differ, however they are usually negative. This was seen in the case of Phineas Gage. Sadly his personality and temperament wasn t the only thing that changed. Before the accident he was considered as one of the best workers on the job site (Constandi, 2006). However, after the injury, he could hardly work. (Constandi, 2006). His contractors, who regarded him as the most efficient and capable foreman in their employ previous to his injury, considered the change in his mind so marked that they could not give him his place again. He is fitful, irreverent, indulging at times in the grossest profanity (which was not previously his custom), manifesting but little deference for his fellows, impatient of restraint of advice when it conflicts with his desires, at times pertinaciously obstinent, yet capricious and vacillating, devising many plans of future operation, which are no sooner arranged than they are abandoned in turn for others appearing more feasible. In this regard, his mind was radically changed, so decidedly that his friends and acquaintances said he was no longer Gage. (Constandi, 2006). He sadly resorted to using his injury as an attraction to make money. He began traveling to do appearances so that people could see the injury and pay him for the entertainment (Constandi, 2006). • 30. Nazi Germany And Its Detrimental Effects On The Social... When looking into the history of Germany and determining what led to the startling rise in Nazism in Germany and its detrimental effects on the social outcasts in Europe, it can be easy to deduce that the Nazi regime was one where Hitler walked in with his officials and took office by force. The truth is that, while the Nazi partyis responsible for the atrocities that occurred before and during WWII, they would have not gotten far if it hadn t been for the cooperation of the German people themselves. Life in the Third Reich provides proof through voting, youth programs and village life that the Nazi party rose into power with German support. In Village Life in Nazi Germany, essayist Gerhard Wilke discusses the rise of Nazismin the small village of Korle, discussing how with the rapid political changes in Germany from an empire to a democratic nation also affected the power balances of small villages. Despite the efforts of the older generations to keep some sort of semblance of the old traditions, it was their children who wanted change and found themselves attracted to Nazism and formed the first local branch of the party in 1928. The reason for this, Wilke says is that they wanted radical solutions to three existential and ideological problems: the survival of their generation as independent farmer, the preservation of their political dominance, and the suppression of their enemies (The Jews and the working class). Thereby, she effectively rejects innocent Marnerfrom his community and causes him to lose his fiancГ©. However, I do not think that Silas Marner s endorsement of family values is nearly as straightforward as Nunokawa makes it out to be. In fact, Eliot s stance on the family unit is three pronged. Nunokawa s reduction of Silas Marner to a dichotomy ignores the middle ground that Eliot ultimately recommends as the key to a life with a happy ending. In order to demonstrate this, I must first show that none of the families in Silas Marner (with the exception of Silas own) are totally happy. In accord with Nunokawa, I will start with the uncomplicated melancholy of Squire Cass male only family. Eliot candidly tells her reader that Red House [the Squire s residence] was without the presence of the wife and mother which is the fountain of wholesome love and fear in parlour and kitchen (Eliot 22). Immediately, Eliot prepares her reader for an unhappy, incomplete group of inhabitants. The only scene between father and eldest son is both awkward and unkind, showing the attitude of life within the motherless house. The one scene in the novel between two brothers, Godfrey, the eldest, and his next younger brother, Dunsey, mocks the notion of brotherly love, depicting it as actually blackmail via brotherly knowledge (Eliot 24). The brother scene calls to mind the next well respected family in Raveloe, the Lammeters. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since we have a climate that fluctuates between seasons, the only months that we are able to host the breeding of mustard is in the fall seasons. This time period is not enough for mustard to grow to its maximum potential and is far from efficient. After conducting some research, I do not believe that Canadian farmers should continue to grow mustard because it is putting a strain on the Canadian economy. This is because farmers who are planting mustard are not receiving high rates of crop returns due to the unfavourable climate conditions, as a result they are not able to supply the anticipated amounts of mustard and can not earn their maximum profit. Canadian governments are gaining a bad reputation from the mustard shortage because the demanded amount of mustard is not being satisfied with the scarce supply of mustard. Consumers are also also upset because prices of mustard are higher than what it was before this mustard crisis, therefore many want the product, but are not able to afford it. Businesses are also angry because they now have to pay more for the price of mustard and have to compete against other businesses for the supply of mustard and are losing consumers because they are being pushed to raise the prices of their goods. Robots are already living among us, controlling your refrigerator, your smart phone, your personal computer and even your car. Some technology advancements sound far fetched to contemporary ears, and many people hesitate at the prospect of adopting them. Nonetheless should we embrace a cyborg future in which tasks great and small are carried out by robots? As robots are becoming increasingly common in human environments, people will be presented with more opportunities in addition existing jobs in healthcare may be replaced by software, humanoid robots and smart machines by the year 2025. And there are two WORDS with various opinions on this prospect. Doctors are not healthcare vending machines, but professionals who understand the difference between negative rights, such as the right to refuse treatment . (Cheshire, JR., MD). Physicians, nurses and other healthcare workers are professionals. A healthcare professional, by contrast, undergoes many years of demanding training and sacrifice, develops a practice, and pursues a vocation for the purpose of serving others. Professionals declare that they are competent and willing to care for the sick, and they commit to healing as their way of life. Smart machines and robots are service providers. • 42. History Of The Old West It would be almost impossible to write the history of the Old West without giving credit to the Hispanic people who influenced its customs, culture, towns, and lives. The contributions of Hispanics to the evolution and success of America are woven into almost every portion of the nation s history. To visualize America untouched by Latinos is to imagine a country without much of its folklore and many of its achievements. The United Stateshas a rich history that goes back over 200 years. Hispanics have always played vital roles in building this country and making it a better place. From the Revolutionary War that freed the United States from England to the Persian Gulf War, Latinos have proudly served this country in the Armed Forces. And throughout U.S. history, Latinos have prominently participated in building the West; in medicine and science; in entertainment, business, education, civil rights, and politics; and in the great American pastime of baseball. In Hispanichistory, as in every variety of Western history, one never has the luxury of taking point of view for granted. Hispanics like Indians, Anglos, and every other group could be victims as well as victimizers, and the meanings of the past could be seen, at times, to be riding a seesaw ( Limerick, 257). When the colonies on the East Coast of what became the United States rebelled against England, Hispanics played a pivotal role. • 43. Treatment And Treatment Of Dialysis Treatment Under normal conditions, your kidneys are responsible for multiple functions such as cleaning blood, producing hormones, balancing electrolytes, and maintaining blood pressure in the body. When the kidneys fail, blood pressure will rise, wastes/toxins will remain in the body s circulation, and the body will retain excess water which can lead to inadequate production of red blood cells (Source 6). These symptoms of kidneyfailure are a medical emergency and call for intervention such as a kidney transplant. The wait for a kidney can be lengthy; therefore a process known as dialysiscan be a life sustaining measure until a suitable donor is matched. Once the Dialysis filters the blood, the clean blood is returned to the patient through another tube that s injected into the patient (Picture A). Even though this procedure is done under supervision in the security of a hospital and does a more than adequate job of performing the functions of a normal kidney, there are some disadvantages. For one, the dialysis process is a very strict and time consuming. The schedule requires treatment 3 times a week for 4 5 hours (Source 6). This time commitment will most likely to be very inconvenient and make the previous life style of the patient difficult. Secondly, if proper cleansing routines are not followed, it is also possible for the patient to receive an infection. A third disadvantage is the constant insertion of needles into the patient which can not only cause infection/irritation if the needles are unsterile, but can lead to stress for the patient if they have a fear of them. Another disadvantage is that patients often report increased itchy skin, of which there has yet to be found a soothing remedy. A fifth disadvantage is that some patients on dialysis establishing insomnia/restless leg syndrome, which can lead to sleep apnea, headache, depression, and decreased alertness (Source 2). The whole family and their quality of life are impacted when a child is born with birth defects, particularly emotionally. Post diagnosis of congenital malformation, the parents often go through the typical stages of grief very similar to if they had lost the child. This is recognized as a part of the process and it is normal for parents to mourn the loss of what they expected to be a healthy child (Lemacks, Fowles, Mateus, Thomas, 2013). • 49. The Origin Of Tourism During The Twentieth Century The tourism from its beginning has manifested itself over the centuries in different shades, but the greatest common denominator was the movement of people to meet their needs. As claimed by Graburn (1983, quoted in Shaprley, 2008, pp. 1 23), Tourism cannot be viewed as one monolithic, static sort of phenomenon . The history of tourismopened with a restricted number of tourists who could afford to travel for the purpose of leisure and pleasure, in particular during the seventieth and eighteenth centuries with the Grand Tour and development of spas. Over the nineteenth century, the figure of Thomas Cook laid the foundations for tourism understood as a mass phenomenon. However with the arrival of mass tourism in the twentieth century marked the watershed between the elitism of the previous centuries and the tourism accessible to the masses. As argued by Towner (1995, pp. 340) tourism over the latter half of the twentieth century spreading socially from the upper classes, down through the middle ranks and ultimately to the mass working classes . • 50. Italy s Political And Economic On Going Crisis Question 1 Italy will be hosting a Renzi fied constitutional referendum this upcoming 4th of December and expect their voters to decide whether they approve of altering the constitution to restructure the legislative process by effectively reducing the upper chamber s power. Constitutional reform, with an exact motive to deprive the Senate of power, has been a desired goal since WW2. Italy s political and economic on going crisis has incentivized the Parliament to implement new enactments and thus far none of these laws have been effectively executed because of the legislatures intracameral conflict. Italy s method of navette has failed to resolve policy differences within the legislature with a never ending shuttle back and forth and thus has held the country captive in an ungovernable state. Ergo, Renzi believes the right path in his plan to stabilize the government is to change Italy s 56 year old constitution. Italy s parliament is structured under a symmetrical bicameral legislature with two chambers: Chamber of Deputies(hereafter referred to as lower house) and the Senate of the Republic(upper house). In order for a bill to be implemented, both houses have to approve the bill similarly, therefore without the confidence of both houses, attempts at implementing laws will continuously fail. Italy s bicameral system is placed in the upper left of the two dimensional chart because of the Senate s position as a frail political actor, therefore marking its system as ... As she walks past you, you can t help but take notice of how dark her hair is and how it s the perfect contrast with her light skin. She is not just a beautiful face though she radiates her happiness and innocence with the grace in her walk. In the poem She Walks in the Beauty Byron describes his mystery women similar to this. In the first stanza, he compares the women to the night. In the second stanza, he is explaining how the balance of her beauty is one shade the more, one ray the less meaning that her beauty is perfectly balanced. The final stanza shows how her beauty reflects her innocence and goodness as a person ( She Walks in Beauty ). Byron is so intrigued by the women that he starts to mix up his senses the line Thus mellowed to that tender light illustrates how Byron is confusing tender and light. Byron is describing the light as tender which would be a synesthesia, because tender is a sense of touch and light is sense of sight. In line eighteen, Byron uses her heart to represent her as a whole person, he says A heart whose love is innocent! ( She Walks in Beauty ). Byron is using her heart to describe how she is innocent as a person this would be a synecdoche.
