Sean is a proficient classroom teacher and currently has a grade 3 class. He is based at a low socioeconomic school with a high population of ESL and Indigenous students.
He has prepared a science enquiry unit for the term that links to the school-based curriculum plan and the Australian Curriculum expectations. The topic is chemical science - A change of state between solid and liquid can be caused by adding or removing heat (ACSSU046).
During the implementation of the first session on this topic, he sets a pre-test and finds that the students have very little prior knowledge in this area. He is unsure of how to progress and is aware that some of the students’ literacy levels are below the state benchmark. The topic being covered is technical and requires students to understand terms, complex ideas about their environment and also have knowledge of specific genres for writing. The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied

three weeks after the start of the school year. His previous school did not
send past school records. Henry is currently in an inclusive classroom
that is being co-taught by Mr. Franklin and you.
Henry is a quiet young man who sits near the back of the classroom and
is reluctant to participate in whole-groupdiscussions.

Although Henry mentioned, several times, how he does not like reading,
