(Г. де Фриз, 1901-1903 г.г.):
1. Мутации возникают внезапно, скачкообразно;
2. Мутации — качественные изменения, которые передаются из поколения в поколение;
3. Мутации возникают ненаправленно (спонтанно), то есть мутировать может любой участок хромосомы, вызывая изменения как незначительных, так и жизненно важных признаков;
4. Сходные мутации могут возникать неоднократно;
5. Мутации проявляются по-разному и могут быть как полезными, так и вредными, как доминантными, так и рецессивными.

How I Would Redesign the Symbiosis Pitch DeckDanielle Nocon
This is my adaptation of the sample investor pitch deck Symbiosis provided by The Startup Garage (http://issuu.com/thestartupgarage/docs/symbiosis-designed-pitch-deck?e=2082818/4712978). Slides that will accompany a speaker should serve as illustrations for the presenter's story - more visually engaging with less text - helping to make the message clear and memorable.
SlideShare and Haiku Deck have recently partnered so that users can create presentations directly from their SlideShare accounts. I chose this topic for my first presentation created directly in SlideShare. During the Business Intelligence course for my MISM, I became intrigued by the interrelationship and essential distinctions between the Data, Information, Knowledge, Intelligence, and Business Intelligence. While brainstorming the visual concept for this presentation, Data as "raw facts" triggered an association in my mind with "raw ingredients". Hence, the progression to a cooking theme...and somehow I ended up with pizza :)
This presentation briefly introduces the complex topic of Master Data Management (MDM) and defining Master Data. It incorporates insights from industry leaders offering their perspectives on interpreting the term Master Data, as well as criteria for determining which data may warrant MDM within a specific organization. In her article “Defining Master Data for Your Organization,” (http://www.itbusinessedge.com/cm/blogs/lawson/defining-master-data-for-your-organization/?cs=40158) Loraine Lawson references David Loshin of Knowledge Integrity, Inc., and Marty Moseley of IBM. Additionally, in their article "The What, Why, and How of Master Data Management," Wolter and Haselden discuss eight criteria that should be considered jointly in deciding which data to include in MDM.
Slide decks are particularly important for online presentations, such as webinars for profit, virtual business training, and web-based academic lectures. When used judiciously, visuals help to communicate the speaker's message and connect the audience to the value of the presenter's ideas. This SlideShare is a promo for my pilot course about helping webinar presenters design effective and engaging visuals for their virtual events.
This presentation was inspired by Jeff Haden's LinkedIn post "Mark Cuban Is Not Who You Think (and to Most People, Neither Are You)" (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/mark-cuban-who-you-think-most-people-neither-jeff-haden) published December 22, 2014.
The document is a collection of 15 photos from Flickr shared under various Creative Commons licenses. The photos show a variety of subjects like nature, cities, and people. Attribution is given for each photo to the photographer and a link to the original on Flickr.
This document is a pitch deck containing various photos and images with captions. It discusses the high failure rate of CRMs due to lack of user adoption, citing a statistic that 70% of CRMs fail for this reason. One image shows a 1929 Cadillac tow truck. The deck is credited to an online source and is intended to be an example pitch deck for a startup.
Pursuing PBCore: The Revitalization of a Schema and Community (AMIA 2014)pbcore
The document describes the results of a PBCore survey with the following goals:
- Identify areas for improvement in PBCore implementation and adoption
- Understand challenges to using PBCore
- Inform the development of new PBCore resources and training
The survey had 139 respondents, with 31 currently using PBCore and 72 not using it. Respondents provided feedback on how they use PBCore, as well as criticisms and barriers to use. The results suggest improving PBCore documentation, examples, and addressing perceptions that it is too complex.
Presentation on how you can use Alteryx and Tableau together. This was presented by Stephen Wagner (@AnalyticsWagner) at the November meeting of the Twin Cities Tableau User Group.
Ditching those bullet points and going visual not only makes your slide decks more enjoyable for your audience; your slide decks are also more fun for you to make. I hope these examples inspire you.
down syndrome and klinefelters syndromemadhursejwal
This document summarizes two genetic conditions: Down syndrome and Klinefelter syndrome. Down syndrome is caused by trisomy 21 and results in characteristic physical features and developmental delays. It is the most common chromosomal disorder. Klinefelter syndrome is caused by one or more extra X chromosomes in males and results in reduced testosterone and infertility. Both conditions are diagnosed through karyotyping to identify abnormal chromosome counts.
This thesis investigates the fabrication and damping behavior of particulate barium titanate ceramic reinforced copper matrix composites. Barium titanate powders of different particle sizes were characterized to study the effect of particle size on their tetragonality. Copper-barium titanate composites with 40% volume fraction of 209μm, 66μm and 2μm barium titanate particles were fabricated. Dynamic mechanical analysis showed the composites had higher damping capacity than unreinforced copper, with the damping dependent on temperature up to the Curie point of barium titanate. However, the small drop in damping above the Curie point indicated ferroelectricity contributed little to overall damping in the composites
