For Example...   1. Donuts $1.00-$2.00  2. Cakes for events: $30.00-$50.00  3. Cookies: $0.50 per.  4. Eclairs: $3.00
Take A Closer Look.
A food establishment runs on about a 25 to 35% food cost.
Convert your 30-35% and change it to 0.30. Then, divide the amount that you paid for and the food cost percent.
Let's say an average eclair cost about 60-67 ($0.67) cents. Formula: Price of Food/Food Cost %= Selling Price.
You should have come up with this: 0.67/0.3=2.33. NOW, you should ALWAYS round UP. So you'd get $3.00.

Baker's business went from a 2 man job to a 100 employee business in 1 year.
Once the "Weight Watchers" changed their system, she had to change hers.
Baker cut spending, conducted layoffs, and lowered her salary.
As stressful as it was, she had to sacrifice herself to the business.
She never learned how to be a good spender or a safe saver, so owning her own business was risky.
Her sales grew steadily. After 6 years of selling 100-200 dozen per week, grossing some $150,000.00.
Also, a local bank refused to give her a loan to buy her very first piece of commercial equipment.

Baker's cookies today are churned out to a sum of 40,000 a day. (17 year-old recipe)
The company also sells granola bars and brownie bites.

In 2011, she projected a 30% increase in sales!

Erin Baker's is dedicated to baking with simple, all natural, wholesome ingredients and encouraging a healthy lifestyle with well-balanced nutrition I started baking & selling cookies at 9 years old, and I loved it so much that I made it my life's work…and yes my last name really is "Baker"! It all began in 1994 when I rented the 4-H kitchen at the Whidbey Island Fairgrounds to bake my way to a better life. Inspired by my mom's healthy baking and armed with a KitchenAid mixer, I created a revolutionary new way to serve breakfast…the Breakfast Cookie was born! For the last sixteen years, oats, fruit & honey have been the staple ingredients in my bakery, making us unique in our efforts to provide healthier food products. I take great pride in baking products with whole food ingredients which provide sustained energy and optimal nutrition. Over the years I have created many wonderful recipes to share with my loyal following. My Breakfast Cookies, Homestyle Granola and Breakfast Cookie Minis are handcrafted and baked to order, promising homemade freshness and flavor! Simple, wholesome baking principles inspired me when I was a little girl. They still make perfect sense now that I am grown up! Bake with purpose, bake fresh to order, bake with healthy and wholesome ingredients. It's that simple.
