Introduction Made from Melt Blown Polypropylene, RX® adsorbents are a high quality, high performance workplace spill control and adsorbent solution. Products are available for general maintenance use in factories, workshops, and manufacturing industry where there is a general requirement for a clean workplace. In outdoor situations, where oil and other liquids must be controlled, RX® provide an oil and fuel solution. This is a hydrophobic product which will not adsorb water. 2 For incidents, and day-to-day situations involving chemicals and solvents, the RX® chemical range provides an instantly recognisable and complete solution. For ease of use, products are available as Pads, Sheets, Rolls, Socks, Pillows, Booms and specially created Spill Kits. The RX® Bio-Bacterial cleaners are a revolutionary approach to cleaning oil-contaminated surfaces. A combination of bacteria and enzymes that literally eat the oil with a clean surface as a result. The RX® Secondary Retention range helps to comply with UK environmental regulations imposed to protect the environment. The Mobile Retention systems are, in combination with MBPP sorbents, the perfect product for quick and effective action in emergencies.

containment Secondary Containment Are you storing your oils & liquids correctly? Who needs to comply? The incorrect storage or poor management of Oils & Liquids, can have far reaching consequences for your business and the environment and, although The Oil Storage Regulations are amongst some of the most highly publicised regulation currently in force, it’s all too easy to forget that all liquids pose a potential threat to health, safety and the environment if not properly stored and handled. All Industrial, Commercial or Institutional sites storing 200 litres or more of oil or fuel above ground in one or more containers. It’s relatively straight forward to ensure that you are protected by using products specifically designed for the task, such as rotationally moulded polyethylene spill pallets for indoor applications, or IBC stores with fully seam welded sumps for secure outdoor use. In Scotland, the regulations apply to both the indoor & outdoor storage of Oils & Fuels. In England & Wales the regulations only apply to storage outside. However, it is considered ‘Best Practice’ to use suitable containment for products stored indoors. If there is any risk of Oils or Fluids entering the Water Course - such as an internal drain, secondary containment should be used. To meet the demands of UK Environmental Regulations, the sump capacity of any containment unit must be capable of holding a minimum of 25% of the total volume stored, or 110% of the volume of the largest container - whichever is the greater. Products are available for general maintenance use in factories, workshops, and manufacturing industry where there is a general requirement for a clean workplace. In outdoor situations, where oil and other liquids must be controlled, RX® provide an oil and fuel solution. This is a hydrophobic product which will not adsorb water. 2 For incidents, and day-to-day situations involving chemicals and solvents, the RX® chemical range provides an instantly recognisable and complete solution. For ease of use, products are available as Pads, Sheets, Rolls, Socks, Pillows, Booms and specially created Spill Kits. The RX® Bio-Bacterial cleaners are a revolutionary approach to cleaning oil-contaminated surfaces. A combination of bacteria and enzymes that literally eat the oil with a clean surface as a result. The incorrect storage or poor management of Oils & Liquids, can have far reaching consequences for your business and the environment and, although The Oil Storage Regulations are amongst some of the most highly publicised regulation currently in force, it’s all too easy to forget that all liquids pose a potential threat to health, safety and the environment if not properly stored and handled. All Industrial, Commercial or Institutional sites storing 200 litres or more of oil or fuel above ground in one or more containers. It’s relatively straight forward to ensure that you are protected by using products specifically designed for the task, such as rotationally moulded polyethylene spill pallets for indoor applications, or IBC stores with fully seam welded sumps for secure outdoor use. In Scotland, the regulations apply to both the indoor & outdoor storage of Oils & Fuels. In England & Wales the regulations only apply to storage outside. However, it is considered ‘Best Practice’ to use suitable containment for products stored indoors. If there is any risk of Oils or Fluids entering the Water Course - such as an internal drain, secondary containment should be used. To meet the demands of UK Environmental Regulations, the sump capacity of any containment unit must be capable of holding a minimum of 25% of the total volume stored, or 110% of the volume of the largest container - whichever is the greater.
